Photo by Mark Horton/Getty Images Travis Scott’s Number One Album Astroworld Is Certified Platinum Though Travis Scott has always had an insanely loyal fanbase of his own, his career has really taken off in a way nobody expected this year–and from the look of things, it’s only up from here. La Flame’s album Astroworld has reached yet another milestone: The third studio LP from the Houston native has officially been certified platinum. A huge achievement to reach platinum at any speed, it took Astroworld less than three months to move 1 million units. The project, which features some guest verses from artists including Drake, Frank Ocean, Pharrell, and The Weeknd, was released on August 3. The album quickly reached gold, earning the certification only one week later on August 10. Astroworld’s commendable platinum status was obtained on September 21, a little over a month following its release. This achievement means Travis is now three for three–Both of his previous studio albums, Rodeo and Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight , earned platinum plaques as well (but not nearly as fast). Travis Scott has come so far since the early days of his career, which was made even more evident when Mike Dean put up an Instagram post last week that showing the rapper’s progression over the last five years. The new father recently made his Saturday Night Live debut performing “Sicko Mode,” “Skeletons” and “Astrothunder,” also appearing in a skit while he was on the show. Not only did La Flame perform on SNL , but said performance was good enough to impress vet Questlove who tweeted, “Been going to #SNL for 9 years now. Seeing that fog/ice lazer reflection jawn in person for @trvisXX was hands down one of the best stage design presentations I’ve ever seen—-and I seen a lot.” As of next moves for the star, Travis appears on the new Kodak Black single “Zeze” along with Offset. He is also featured on the new Juicy J banger “Neighbor.” Congrats to La Flame on his endless wins right now.

Getty Images Construction workers were on site of a former funeral home in Michigan when they shockingly found 11 infant corpses hidden in the ceiling. According to the Detroit News , eight of the baby bodies were stored in a cardboard box and three were found in separate garbage bags that were stuffed into one casket. Detective Lt. Brian Bowser told reporters that state officials had received an anonymous letter in the mail Friday, informing them that the infant bodies were hidden inside. “The letter detailed the existence of human remains inside the funeral home.They were met here by the current owner who admitted them entry. They went to the location described in the letter and located a couple boxes. One box and one small casket. They were kind of hidden away. It’s just the callousness of the operators, the owners, the employees of the funeral home.” DPD Lt. State officials shut down the funeral home back in April after inspectors found decomposing remains and “deplorable conditions. Knife with blood. One Florida woman took “When A Woman’s Fed Up” to a whole new level when she fatally stabbed her husband after falling slipping on dog feces. Authorities say 38-year old Rachel Fidanian , who was arrested on Wednesday for the murder, has given “several inconsistent statements” about what happened in the couple’s home in Lakeland, Polk County. Then later in the call, she said she was holding the dog while slicing pizza, and accidentally stabbed her husband when she tripped while walking toward him. When Polk County Fire Rescue officials arrived, Fidanian said she was slicing pizza, then noticed her dog had defecated and urinated in the living room. When she went to clean the mess, she slipped, still holding the knife, and fell onto her husband. 40-year old Bryan Fidanian was transported to a local hospital and died shortly after. Rachel is currently in prison on a murder charge.

The rapper is admittedly off his meds and back in full “superhero alien” mode, which likely explains that stream of consciousness rant he performed at the White House on Thursday and his ‘keynote address’ given at a Georgetown Apple Store . If you’ll recall, Kanye even completely denied that he suffered from bipolar disorder at all while in the oval office. He claimed in instead that he was misdiagnosed and was suffering from “extreme sleep deprivation” instead — paired with an odd concern that it may cause Alzheimer’s disease and dementia later in his life. A source tells People that folks in ‘Ye’s inner circle “are telling him that he needs to get back on his medication, that he’s not doing well, that he’s not making any sense.” But it’s falling on deaf ears as it is, and now that he’s being so “validated” in the media, there’s even less likelihood of him listening. To top it all off, the family is supposedly at their wits’ end, and fear that Trump entertaining his rants in a formal White House meeting is only going to validate his antics in his mind from here on out. “Now he’s in the Oval Office, and he’s doing the same rant, and that’s going to validate his rants. No one close to him can tell him that he’s sounding unhinged because his answer is that the President of the United States doesn’t think so.” This tidbit gives even more credence to the suspicions that Kimmy is off to the side finding a tactful way to tiptoe out of the relationship . Hollywood history is filled with whirlwind romances that were followed by abrupt, mysterious breakups. But you’d be hard-pressed to find a situation more bizarre or enigmatic than the divorce of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes . After winning the hearts of millions during their honeymoon period, Holmes and Cruise called it quits after just six years of marriage. And despite the fact that they seem to have had virtually no contact with one another in the years since their 2012 divorce, the contentious nature of their split continues to make both actors tabloid staples. Sources close to the situation say Cruise has not seen daughter Suri in four years. This, despite the fact that he’s been in the same city as the 12-year-old on numerous occasions. But while he seems to have little interest in being a father to his daughter, Cruise continues to closely monitor the actions of both Suri and her long-suffering mother. According to a new report from Life & Style, Holmes believes the Church of Scientology has been spying on her for years in order to ensure that she doesn’t engage in any activities that might undermine the organization and its reputation. “Tom does still have control over Katie,” a source tells the tabloid, adding that Holmes still needs to consider whether Cruise would approve before making any major decisions. “She paid a price to escape him.” The insider adds that Katie has no doubt she’s being continuously monitored by CoS operatives: “Katie wondered if she was even being spied on by church employees in her own home,” the source claims. While the allegations that Holmes is under surveillance remain unconfirmed, there’s no question that she’s been constrained by the terms of a very strict nondisclosure agreement. “She could lose custody of Suri [Cruise]. It’s quite sick, really,” says former Scientologist and anti-cult activist Leah Remini. “She’s been muzzled about saying much about Tom or Scientology as part of the agreement she signed after she filed for divorce,” the anonymous insider says of Holmes’ situation. “And those agreements don’t have an end date. It doesn’t look like there will ever be a time that his specter isn’t looming over her and Suri.” Fortunately, Katie isn’t entirely alone in her struggle against Tom and the powerful organization for whom he serves as a global spokesman: The informant says Cruise’s second wife Nicole Kidman has reached out to Holmes and offered support: “Katie and Nicole have spoken about raising their daughters to be independent and giving them a solid education, which is the opposite of Scientology teachings,” the insider claims. “Just living their lives is their way of moving on from the Church of Scientology.” Sadly, it seems that like their mothers, Cruise’s children will never be fully free of the CoS and its pernicious influence.
