Duggars SLAMMED For Lavish Displays of Wealth: They Own HOW MANY Planes?!

The Duggars built their media empire by shilling wholesome values and the joys of simple living to an audience that ate it up like so many pickles and Chick-Fil-A sandwiches. But throughout the family’s decade in the spotlight, even diehard fans have wondered if the Duggars are living double lives – preaching the virtues of frugality and humility, while at the same time enjoying lives of incredible fame and fortune. Over the years, fans have taken issue with Jim Bob’s “high-class hoarding,” and other ostentatious displays of wealth. The Duggar patriarch has been accused of buying up large tracts of land with no plans to make use of them, simply so that he might appear even more powerful in the eyes of local politicians. Not exactly in keeping with the WWJD philosophy, but believe it or not, Jim Bob’s desire for increased clout and high-end antiques isn’t even the most galling example of the family’s mixed messaging regarding personal wealth. No, that honor belongs to the Duggars’ astonishingly large fleet of private aircraft. You may have known that the Duggars own a private jet , but were you aware that they own several other small planes, as well? The first and most famous Duggar aircraft is the one belonging to John David, who was the first in the family to get his pilot’s license. The plane, a Cirrus SR22 was purchased as a gift for the Duggar’s second-oldest son back in 2014. At the time, it would’ve retailed for about $764,900, but as In Touch Weekly points out the Duggars probably bought it used . Which means it probably only ran them about $200,000. Since then the number of pilots in the Duggar clan has grown rapidly, with Josiah earning his license and Joy marrying Austin Forsyth who counts piloting among his many professions. So perhaps it’s not surprising that Jim Bob has decided to expand the family fleet in a major way. Just last year, the Duggars purchased four planes from the ALERT Academy, bringing their total number of aircraft to a whopping eight. The folks at In Touch did the math, and assuming that the Duggars paid an average $547,000 per plane (only some of the purchases were second hand) that brings the total value of their fleet to $3,200,000. Yes, the family that made a name for itself preaching modesty has spent over 3 mill on private planes in the past four years. So what exactly is the family doing with all those big birds? Well, Jim Bob recently incorporated Duggar Aviation LLC, and the company is headquartered out of nearby Springdale, Arkansas. At this point, however, it doesn’t seem that the family is offering up commercial flights. They may have plans to do so in the future, but many fans are suspicious that Duggar Aviation is nothing more than a shell corporation that allows Jim Bob to write off his plane collection as a business expense. All in a day’s work for America’s favorite Christ-lovin’ capitalists. Watch Counting On online for more from reality TV’s most controversial family. Rihanna to Hassan Jameel: Let’s Make a Baby, Baby!

While there have been some unkind pregnancy rumors about Rihanna in recent months, this beautiful and talented singer and actress might bring some truth to them in the future. You know how she’s landed herself a super handsome boyfriend, Hassan Jameel? She’s reportedly considering the idea of making him her baby daddy. HollywoodLife reports that Rihanna is considering having a child with boyfriend Hassan Jameel. “Rihanna is madly in love with Hassan and she’s starting to plan for a future with him.” The guy’s first and last names together literally mean “handsome handsome” and he lives up to that, so this isn’t much of a surprise. “This is the first guy since Chris (Brown) that’s made her feel this way, like she wants to settle down.” Hopefully, this relationship will be less disastrous and upsetting. Their source continues. This time, they’re talking about how and when Rihanna and Hassan currently see each other. “She and Hassan mostly meet up in Europe, it’s a good midway point for them.” That makes sense. “But now she’s talking about making it her full-time base so she can have even more time with him” We in the US would miss Rihanna, but what makes her happy is what really matters. Apparently, her recent birthday is making her think about settling down. “They are very serious and now that Rihanna has hit the big 3-0 she’s thinking about stuff like marriage and family a lot more.” We can see that. Apparently, like countless fellow Millennials, Rihanna is noticing that she isn’t reaching certain milestones at the ages that she’d imagined. “She always thought she would have kids by this age so that’s on her mind now too.” Sometimes, these thoughts gnaw at you. And then there are all sorts of social pressures. “She and Hassan aren’t rushing into anything, but that is where her head is going. It really seems like she’s met her Prince Charming.” He’s a Saudi businessman and heir to one of the world’s biggest companies.  Those are some princely qualities, for sure. It doesn’t hurt that he’s reportedly warned Chris Brown to stay away from Rihanna. That makes him sound like a knight in shining armor. Apparently, Rihanna is understandably head-over-heels. “This guy has completely swept her off her feet.” That’s so heartwarming to hear! And he’s a definite improvement over a certain scumbag she used to love. “For a long time she worried that she’d never love anyone as much as Chris, but Hassan is showing her it’s possible. Chris will always be her first true love but Hassan has made his own mark.” Hopefully, Chris Brown will one day be but a distant memory. (For the whole world, but especially for Rihanna) “It’s two different kind of loves but equally strong.” This new love, of course, doesn’t seem to be toxic or dangerous. Rihanna just turned 30 in February. While there’s no “right time” to have a baby, and while absolutely no one is obligated to reproduce … many look at her and say that this might be a very good time. But if Rihanna wants to put off having a child for another few years, or a decade, or literally forever, that is totally her choice to make. Rihanna is an amazing talent, and no amount of love for her gives any fan — or anyone else — the right to make that kind of choice for her. View Slideshow: 39 Ridiculously Racy Rihanna Photos

Kim Kardashian Eyes Fancy Cars, Fishes For Better Push Present Than Kylie

It looks like those rumors that Kim Kardashian aims to take down Kylie Jenner aren’t going away any time soon. If anything, it looks like this sisterly competition is heating up. So, remember how apparently Kylie Jenner got a $1.4 million Ferrari as a ridiculous “push present” after giving birth to Stormi Webster? It looks like Kim is out to one-up her baby sister with a fancy, pricey new car of her own. Kim Kardashian, for over a decade now, has been the Kardashian — she’s the face of the family and their brand. (While Kris is the mastermind behind most of it) On top of her success as a reality star and a branding icon, her video game for phones that came out a few years ago was a tremendous success. But Kylie Jenner, at an astonishingly young age, is on the rise. Kylie Cosmetics is worth a sicking amount , and is projected to be worth one billion dollars within just a few years. Which of these successful sisters will win the race to a billion dollars? We won’t know who wins the race to the top for years, most likely. But Kylie sure is enjoying her status now. Though it’s not clear where her brand new Ferrari actually came from, it’s believed to be a gift from baby daddy Travis Scott as a thank-you for, you know, giving birth to Stormi. Push presents are normally sentimental jewelry or some sort of home redecoration thing. They’re not really supposed to cost a small fortune, but … Kylie and her family live on another level than the rest of us. There’s one problem with Kylie’s $1.4 million push present … you can’t fit a carseat into it. Whoops. But that’s not why Kylie’s family thinks that it’s ridiculous — they reportedly think that Kylie’s fondness for flaunting her wealth with expensive cars is tacky and childish. Now that she’s a mom (at 20), they hope that she’ll mellow out. At the same time, however, Kim seems to have her eye on the prize. So long as the “prize” means outshining Kylie Jenner’s fancy new car with one of her own. Over the course of several days, including just a matter of hours ago, Kim Kardashian has been pointing out super expensive, fancy, largely impractical cars on her Instagram. She’s written things like: “I want …” and, days later “I want this too …” Does a taste for needlessly expensive vehicles that are jarringly low to the ground (but maybe they don’t care because they’re short anyway?) run in the family? Or is this a competition? Some fans were quick to comment, wondering why in the world Kim would be posting about wanting these particular items when, you know, she could just buy them. But it’s easy to connect the dots. If Kylie really got her car from Travis Scott as a push present, as is widely believed, then Kim buying herself one wouldn’t be a match for Kylie. For Kim to match Kylie, she’d need it to be a push present from Kanye, her own baby daddy. And husband. Of course, some would point out that Kim and Kylie are sisters, who likely have convergent tastes in many areas. There’s so similar that they both had babies within a couple of months of each other. Chicago was Kim’s third and Stormi was Kylie’s first, and Chicago was born via surrogate, but those are just details. So maybe they have similar tastes in cars because they’re similar people. For that matter, maybe they’re both in the makeup business and both wildly successful because they have similarities in their personalities? It can be fun to pit sibling against sibling, but we shouldn’t let that narrative cloud our perspective. We don’t know what’s going on in their minds. Javi Marroquin: Does He Want Kailyn Lowry Back?!

It’s been over a year since Javi Marroquin and Kailyn Lowry got divorced , and their relationship has been a non-stop rollercoaster ride ever since. There were times when it looked like Kailyn and Javi would get back together, and there were many, many times when it looked like they would never again be on speaking terms. But against all odds, it seems that the exes have finally been able to sort out an amicable, platonic co-parenting arrangement that works for both parties. However, that doesn’t mean that they never contemplate giving their marriage another chance. “We have our own private discussions just me and her,” Marroquin recently told Radar Online. “But a lot happened between us in the past. On my behalf, I’ve moved on from all of that. I’m in a lot better place than I was when all of that was happening.” Javi went on to offer a vague description of just where he and Kailyn stand these days. “We have the weirdest relationship in the world. We can’t even explain it to anybody because it’s me, Kail and the boys.” Needless to say, this description sent Teen Mom 2 Twitter into a tizzy. Many fans took it as a coy confirmation that he and Kailyn are more than just friends.  We’re not totally sure how they got that from his remarks, but it’s clear that fans really want that reconciliation to happen. Unfortunately, it seems like they might be in for a long wait. These days, it sounds like Kail and Javi are on decent terms, but it wasn’t all that long ago, that Marroquin was dating Briana DeJesus and royally pissing Lowry off at every turn. At one point things were so bad that Kailyn and Javi canceled a collaboration – a pair of memoirs about their marriage that would’ve been a highly lucrative project for both. Yes, Kailyn and Javi were so at odds with one another that they couldn’t even complete a project in which they would offer separate accounts of their divorce, because it would require them to go on a brief book tour together. So while it’s nice that their relationship has improved since then … we’re not hearing a second round of wedding bells just yet. Watch Teen Mom 2 online to relive Kail and Javi’s rocky romance. Editorial: Bruce Willis’ ‘Death Wish’ Movie Is NRA Propaganda Made To Get Black People Killed

Sometime between when the first trailer for Bruce Willis’ Death Wish film that hit the internet last August and the new batch of trailers that came out this year, it became clear that the folks over at MGM realized they f*cked up. The most recent trailers have shown Bruce Willis as a man on a mission, avenging his family and killing mostly-white thugs in the path. Pretty innocuous, right? The first trailer, however, is an orgy of gun fetishizing, gas lighting and Zimmerman-esque vigilanteism. It has all the makings of a movie that encourages buying guns and using them to kill black people in the name of “justice.” In fact, the trailer encourages it. The trailer, and movie, has all the alt-right NRA talking points. We start with Sway ( we need answers about this, Sway ) talking about violence in Chicago, which is as much of a dog whistle as anyone can pull off. As you probably know, racists like to point to Chicago violence as a stand-in for “black on black” crime to deflect any time black people bring up actual anti-black violence. In fact, your own president has echoed those same sentiments. Then we have Bruce Willis in a LITERAL hoodie – get it? A hoodie, guys! – shooting people in his brand of justice. Of course, he’s on this revenge quest because of a home invasion that leaves his wife dead and daughter in a coma – the huge fireworks endorsement of the gun enthusiasts’ need to arm themselves in the first place. Then we get Bruce buying a gun at the store, a reminder that anyone can get guns to seek revenge on (black) people whenever they want. And then he does just that, gunning down black people in broad daylight. The kicker? His therapist tells him that whatever he’s doing, it seems to be good for his mental health, with the insinuation being that gunning down black folks thanks to the ability to buy guns at the grocery store is chicken soup for the racist white man’s soul. In the months since that first trailer – and the strategic pushing back of the movie’s release date that followed, Death Wish’s marketing team has tried its hardest to remove any and all killing of black people by a hooded white man from its promotion. Because, again, they knew they f*cked up. But the marketing course correction doesn’t make up for what the movie is in whole: a commercial for buying guns and using them on black people in the name of fictionalized fears based on centuries of white supremacists portrayal of said people. I don’t care what Eli Roth or Bruce Willis say the movie is about, it’s about a time-honored American tradition of arming white men with weapons to kill black people. It’s a cinematic portrayal of the NRA’s blatant racism. Death Wish will probably bomb, especially under the ecliptic power of Black Panther , but any person who lays eyes on the movie is one too many. Because the film wasn’t just made to celebrate white anti-black vigilanteism, it was made to encourage that violence. Movies like this shouldn’t be made. This isn’t even a censorship debate, either, because censorship is about silencing work that is offensive. Death Wish isn’t offensive. It’s deadly. It is less a movie as it is an advertisement for racist violence. Not only should Death Wish not be supported, but we should have a list of everyone involved in the flick – black and white – and vow to never support any of them again.
