Jamie Foxx Credits Oprah With His Success Well, Oprah can’t be as bad as some people are saying … Jamie Foxx is crediting Oprah Winfrey with essentially saving his career by letting him know his hard-partying ways were not a good look and pointing him away from the devil’s nectar. Jamie told Howard Stern that Oprah got him on the phone around 2005 and let him know that his booze guzzling and hitting the clubs up every night of the week was hurting his career, and he didn’t even realize it. You may not remember the name Dani Mathers, but you probably remember the vile conduct that made her a target on social media last year. In case you forgot, or you just want to be disgusted all over again, here’s what happened: Mathers took a photo of a nude elderly woman who was changing in a gym locker room and posted it on Snapchat. To make matters worse, Matters – who was the 2015 Playboy Playmate of the Year – captioned the photo: “If I can’t unsee this, neither can you.” The backlash was immediate, and Mathers promptly posted a lengthy apology on Twitter: “I want to acknowledge my post from snapchat earlier. There is no excuse…I understand fully the magnitude of this post,” Mathers tweeted. She added: “I’m sorry for what I did… I need to take some time to myself now to reflect on why I did this horrible thing.” Unfortunately for her, the damage had been done, both in terms of the violation of the woman’s privacy and legal ramifications for Mathers. Back in September of 2016, the LAPD located the woman the woman and the photo and decided to press charges against Mathers . Today, the 30-year-old was convicted in Los Angeles County Court, and while many on social media are already clamoring for a harsher sentence, we’re guessing the victim feels vindicated and Mathers has learned her lesson. In exchange for a lighter sentence, Mathers pled guilty and was offered two options with regard to her punishment: She could serve 45 days in jail and receive 36 months probation. Or she could do 30 days of graffiti removal … and also receive 36 months probation. Not surprisingly, she chose the latter option. So legally, she got off easy. But in other ways, Mathers will pay for her crimes for the remainder of her life. Prior to one of the most egregious social media blunders of all time, Mathers seemed to be successfully transitioning from her role as a Playboy model into the world of mainstream media. For reasons of safety, decorum and mental health, Ariana Grande has canceled a handful of upcoming tour dates. In a statement issued through her publicist, the singer announced on Wednesday that shows scheduled through June 5 will no longer take place. She has not yet made a decision on concert dates beyond that. “Due to the tragic events in Manchester the Dangerous Woman tour with Ariana Grande has been suspended until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost,” the pop star’s management team says. The statement continues: “The London O2 shows this week have been cancelled as well as all shows through June 5 in Switzerland. “We ask at this time that we all continue to support the city of Manchester and all those families affected by this cowardice and senseless act of violence. “Our way of life has once again been threatened but we will overcome this together. Thank you.” By now, you are likely aware of the tragic circumstances that prompted this statement. On Monday night, a suicide bomber named Salman Abedi killed 22 people and injured dozens more when he detonated a nail bomb inside Manchester Arena. He did so toward the end of a Grande concert in the venue. British are now investigating a “network” of people and have arrested four suspects in connection with the attack, according to Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins. A representative of Grande’s confirmed that the young artist was physically fine shortly after the attack took place, but she is understandably shaken up. The star wrote a Tweet in response to the bombing that said she was “broken” inside, simply saying at the time that she was “so sorry” for what transpired and adding that she had no other words to offer. How could she? How can anyone? What is there to say when a terrorist blows up innocent eight-year olds and teenagers ? According to multiple users on Twitter, however, Grande is at least trying to do whatever she can in the wake of this disaster. We have not yet received confirmation, but she’s allegedly offered to pay for the funeral expenses of every victim. On Tuesday, Grande flew back to Florida . She is reportedly holed up with her boyfriend Mac Miller and her family, trying to recover from what happened. “Ariana is inconsolable,” a source tells Us Weekly, adding: “She’s absolutely heartbroken. She can’t believe this happened. She spent the night [of the tragedy] crying with her backup dancers and saying how much she adores her fans.” Echoing this sentiment, a different insider tells People Magazine: “It’s so, so sad. She loves her fans and is absolutely crushed and devastated as you can imagine. She can’t believe this happened. She just wants to be with her family and loved ones right now.” Grande had been scheduled to perform next on Thursday night in London. She has now canceled that show, along with each show through the one slated for Zürich, Switzerland on June 5. The first date on her calendar that has NOT yet been canceled is a concert in Paris on June 7. These musical stops are completely unimportant in comparison to the lives lost in Manchester this week, of course, but we’ll keep fans apprised of Grande’s upcoming schedule as more information is released in the coming days. Just so they can at least plan accordingly. In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers remain with everyone affected by this tragic act.

Now, to us, that doesn’t sound like taking things slowly, especially when moving in together requires one person to relocate to another continent. (It’s Joe who will be leaving his home to move in with Taylor, obvi.) Unless, of course, they’ve actually been together much longer than they’re letting on. A clearly Taylor-approved source spoke to People magazine this week, and she may have revealed more than she intended to about Taylor’s relationship timeline: “Taylor has been insanely private about her relationship with Joe,” the insider says. “She wanted to get to know him without any chaos. She has learned from the past.” The insider adds: “Joe’s a very normal, down-to-earth guy. He’s private and low-key.” And now that the relationship is public, the Taylor surrogate claims, “they’re on the same page on how to handle the attention.” The tipster stopped just short of saying they rode unicorns over a rainbow on their first date, a la Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone. Unfortunately, like Kellyanne Conway on a Sunday morning talk show, the Taylor talk piece got cocky and screwed up when it came time to confirm some details: Asked if Taylor and Joe were already dating when they were spotted at a Kings of Leon concert (RIP, Kings of Leon Being Cool: 2003 – 2017) back in October, the source replied in the affirmative. “The Get Down” Gets Cancelled After One Season Bad news for fans of “The Get Down.” The Baz Luhrmann produced musical drama, starring Jaden Smith, apparently was a high cost for Netflix, racking in at about $120 million just for the first season alone. According to Deadspin , the show’s cost led to multiple production delays, which resulted in season one being split into two 6-episode bundles. Producer Baz, who’s most famous for directing films like “William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet,” “Moulin Rouge,” and “The Great Gatsby,” said in a Facebook post following that a big part of the cancellation comes from his inability to commit to dedicating his full time to a second season, because he has other movie projects that need his attention. “This exclusivity has understandably become a sticking point for Netflix and Sony, who have been tremendous partners and supporters of the show. It kills me that I can’t split myself into two and make myself available to both productions… But the simple truth is, I make movies.” It’s very rare that a Netflix series doesn’t return for a second season. Obviously, many folks claimed that Jenelle is a negligent parent . And more than a few have accused Jenelle of physical assault , but never against a child. However, it now looks as though Ms. Evans will be forced to answer from some mighty serious allegations coming from none other than her former fiance, Nathan Griffith. The news of the latest dispute between the parents of 2-year-old Kaiser comes to us courtesy of The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. According to the site, there many fans expressed concern in connection with a photo Jenelle posted over the weekend. The image shows Kaiser at the beach, and the boy appears to have some dark bruises on his arm. Some of Jenelle’s followers stated their belief that they’re the kind of bruises that might be caused by grabbing a child forcefully. It’s important for us to point out that we are no way implying that Jenelle or her fiance, David Eason, have in any way behaved in an abusive fashion toward any of the children in their care. But some folks on social media had no qualms about doing a LOT more than implying. Many outright accused Jenelle and David of abuse, and it seems Nathan very understandably became concerned. “If anyone dared lay a physical hand on either one of my kids, it would be hell on earth real freaking quick! # treadlightly # definitionofDADDY,” Griffith tweeted. It’s only been a week since we learned that Taylor Swift is dating Joe Alwyn , and fortunately, the famously unlucky-in-love singer is taking her time and really letting this relationship develop gradually. Nicky Hayden, a former MotoGP champion, has died from injuries he sustained when a car crashed into his bicycle five days ago. He was 35 years old. The sad news was confirmed by Maurizio Bufalini Hospital in Cesena, where Hayden had been a patient the scary collision last Wednesday. Hayden suffered severe cerebral damage and multiple traumatic injuries as a result of the incident. Said the hospital in a statement this afternoon: “The medical team has verified the death of the patient Nicholas Patrick Hayden, who has been undergoing care since last Wednesday May 17 in the intensive care unit of the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena following a very serious polytrauma which occurred the same day.” On the entertainment front, Hayden was named one of People Magazine’s Hottest Bachelors in 2005. “Racing is what I grew up doing, it’s in my family’s blood. I’m pretty happy-go-lucky,” he told the publication at the time, adding; “I travel so much, I’ve met a lot of chicks in airports.” Hayden was cycling along the Rimini coast in Italy last Wednesday when he was hit by a Peugeot, whose windshield was smashed in the accident. Judicial authorities have opened an investigation into the crash and questioned the 30-year-old driver of the car that struck Hayden. According to The Guardian, the driver was given a Breathalyzer test and was not over the limit at the time. Hayden won the MotoGP title in 2006; his career started in 2003, with Hayden posting three victories and 28 top three finishes in 218 total races. Hayden was 13th in Superbike this season, riding for the Red Bull Honda team. In response to Hayden’s death, motorcycle racers reacted to Hayden’s death on Twitter.
