Philando Castile Shooting Update The officer who fatally shot Philando Castile has been charged, but only with manslaughter. Jeronimo Yanez is facing second-degree manslaughter and two charges of dangerous discharge of a firearm. During the press conference where Yanez’charges were announced, Prosecutor John Choi noted that the officer and his partner pulled over Castile July 6 because he matched the description of a robbery suspect with a “wide-set nose.” He also added that “There simply was no objective threat posed to Officer Yanez.” The Star Tribune reports: Jeronimo Yanez faces three criminal charges for the killing of Philando Castile, Ramsey County Attorney John Choi announced Wednesday. Choi said it was his conclusion that “use of deadly force by Officer Yanez was not justified.” Yanez was charged Wednesday with second-degree manslaughter and two felony counts of dangerous discharge of a firearm. Before Yanez, no officer had been charged in more than 150 police-involved deaths in Minnesota since 2000. Yanez was summoned to make his first appearance in Ramsey County court at 1:30 Friday. Choi said the charges were filed following 19 weeks of investigation and a review of the dash cam footage and audio footage taken during the shooting. […] In explaining how Yanez’s actions did not meet the legal standard for justified use of deadly force, Choi said “it is not enough… to express subjective fear of death or great bodily harm.” Mind you Philando told Officer Yanez that he had a weapon and assured him that he was not reaching for it before he was shot 7 times. Well this is a start, but is a second-degree manslaughter charge really enough? Furthermore do YOU think it will stick???

Today E dropped the trailer for “Revenge Body”. It looks like Khloe will be coaching hopeful contestants through vigorous work outs, while they share their personal body struggles. Khloe is no stranger to having weight issues, detailing her obstacles with her physique early in the trailer. It should be interesting what kinds of advice and/or referrals she will be giving. Man Blames Casino For The Life-Threatening Beating He Gave His Girlfriend People never cease to amaze us at how ain’t-s#!t they can be… A story in the Allentown Morning Call details how Nicholas Mullins beat his girlfriend within nearly an inch of her life at an area casino hotel. Mullins assault on Caitlin Shields was so bruthal that he was charged with attempted murder when her brain swelled to massive proportions. Well, if you thought THAT was the part that made Nicholas “ain’t-s#!t”, there’s more…he is now suing the casino and blaming THEM for his violent attack. How can it possibly be the casino’s fault, you ask? According to Nicholas, they should have never served him 15 free drinks. That’s right, the open bar is the cause of a woman nearly dying. Oh, and after beating her unconscious, good ol’ Nic also tried to smother her with a pillow. Mullins served 4 years in the bing for his crime, but he’s suing because the felony on his record is preventing him from finding a job. Let’s all say it together: Awwwwwwwwww! Nic and his scumbag lawyer are suing under the “Dram Shop Act” which holds businesses liable for overserving alchol to clearly intoxicated patrons. We hope both of these bastards burn in Hell. Tasha Cobbs and her Tasha Cobbs Ministries (TCM) hosted an uplifting evening of worship at Atlanta’s Suite Food Lounge… that benefitted Haitian families in need of medical supplies. Special guests included Kirk Franklin… James Fortune, VaShawn Mitchell, Isaac Carree, Anthony Brown, Jonathan McReynolds, Bishop William Murphy, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Jimi Cravity, Todd Galberth and DJ Dex. Atlanta’s inspiration station PRAISE 102.5fm was on site to show support for the cause. 100% of all donations were donated to Project Medishare . Bravo bigwig and Watch What Happens Live! host Andy Cohen has a new memoir out, and naturally, it’s filled with the kind of gossip that will have stars chucking into their giant roaring fireplaces, a la Citizen Kane . Sure there are some Bravo-lebrities acting like Bravo-lebrities, but there are also some A-listers letting their true colors show. The most interesting excerpt that’s been released thus far has to do with Cohen’s run-in with Taylor Swift at an LA bar: “Why I felt I needed to get involved I will never know (maybe I was auditioning for her squad?) but I innocently said exactly the wrong thing to her, which was, ‘Your friend Katy is sitting in the corner and there’s plenty of room around her,’” he recalls. According to Cohen, Swift then asked, “Katy who?” “I said, ‘Perry,’ at which point she clearly let me know that she’s the exact opposite of her friend,” he continues. Cohen says he cracked a joke at his own expense to lighten the mood, but Tay-Tay wasn’t having it and instructed him not to mention the incident his show. “She didn’t threaten me about putting it in my book, so here we are,” he writes. Cohen concludes the anecdote with one of his signature puns, joking that he failed his “squad-ition!” Obviously, the great thing about this story isn’t that Cohen didn’t make the cut for Taylor’s squad , but that Taylor reacts like a Mariah Carey meme when someone mentions Katy’s name: On a side note: there’s something we’ve been wondering about the never-ending Katy-Taylor feud this week. We know that Taylor subtly revealed her presidential preferences on Election Day after remaining mum on the subject throughout her campaign… And we imagine she’s less than pleased with the outcome. That said, some part of her has gotta be happy that Katy got screwed, right? Like, Taylor voted Dem, but Katy literally dressed up as Hillary for Halloween . Homegirl probably already had captions written for her Lincoln Bedroom selfies. Given her hatred of all things Katy and the fact that Swift has ties to the Trump family , we’re guessing she’s not as upset about the Donald’s victory as most young feminists.
