Yesterday, we reported that actress, model and transgender activist Alexis Arquette had passed away at the age of 47. Alexis turned in memorable performances in films such as Pulp Fiction and The Wedding Singer , and she was the sister of famed actors David, Patricia and Rosanna Arquette. No official cause of death has been given, but a statement from her brother Richmond Arquette gave the impression that the passing was not unexpected. “Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning,” Richmond wrote. “He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones.” Richmond added that Alexis’ final moments were arranged in accordance with her last requests: “As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension,” he noted. Usually when a celebrity passes at such a young age the assumption is that substance abuse or an accident were involved. In Alexis’ case, however, she was surrounded by family and friends and seemed to know in advance that her passing was imminent. Now, a former lover named Robert Dupont has come forward claiming to know the cause of Arquette’s untimely death. “Alexis was living with AIDS and she had an inoperable tumor and she had developed an infection,” Dupont explained to Radar Online. “I was told that went to her liver and throughout her body.” Dupont, who reportedly dated Arquette for “several years” in the ’90s, added that Alexis was “in an induced coma” at the time of her passing. Sadly, Dupont says Arquette’s final years were difficult for her: “She was working as an artist and living in an Actors Fund home in West Hollywood for people with HIV and AIDS. She hated it,” he tells the website. “People kept breaking into her apartment and they did alcohol and drugs. Alexis hated that. She never did drugs and she didn’t drink. “Her family offered to have her live with them, but she wanted to be independent.” A second source confirmed that was ill for several years, but remained focused on her art and her career despite her difficulties: “Towards the end she was in a lot of pain, but she was not going to give up,” the unidentified insider says. “She was holding on so hard at the end and she was such a fighter. Alexis was sick for so long.” The source confirms that Arquette never even dabbled with intoxicants of any kind: “I never ever saw Alexis do drugs — she never did cocaine, speed or anything like that,” the insider says. Queen Bey temporarily ceded her throne over the weekend. In the coolest of ways. On Saturday, September 10, Beyonce brought her world tour to a stop in St. Louis, Missouri. At one point during the evening, she and her backup dancers broke into a rendition of “Single Ladies.” This was not unusual, of course. But what happened about a minute into the performance was definitely NOT par for the musical course. Beyonce stopped to invite a certain someone on stage, that someone being the boyfriend of lead backup dancer Ashley Everett. His name was John Silver and this is what he said in front of thousands of people: “I don’t know if y’all know this young lady, she goes by the name of Ashley Everett. She’s my queen.” He then address Everett directly; “Baby, I know that you don’t think that I express my love to you in front of everybody, so I feel like what better time than now to do it in front of thousands and thousands of people.” Silver then got down on one knee and popped the question. After Ashley said yes, he replied the only way he really could: “So I put a ring on it. Thank you, Bey.” After receiving congratulations from Beyonce, the music commenced and the ladies actually finished the “Single Ladies” choreography without missing a beat. It was awesome: Everett, it should be noted, as been with Beyonce for years. She was part of the original “Single Ladies” video. And she was very clearly taken by enormous surprise here. “Still wrapping my head around the incredible, magical moment that happened last night! It was an absolute dream come true!” she Ashley wrote as a caption to the following picture. “Thank you to everyone who helped make it so epic and iconic, and to everyone who supports us and congratulated us! “To my now FIANCÉ @1j.silver YOU DID THAT & I LOVE THE SH*T OUT OF YOU!!! Shocked is an understatement. “I'm so overly excited for this new chapter in our lives and of course I can't wait to be your WIFE!!!” Silver also posted his excitement over the news, saying on Instagram that he “almost threw up my balls” before he went on stage. Kevin Gates’ Trip To Mecca Has A Profound Effect On The Rapper Anybody who has followed Kevin Gates knows he’s a bit of a character. Still, one of the things he appears to take most seriously is his religion. As a man of Muslim faith and the means to make the trip, Gates made the Hajj to Mecca and it’s a trip he captured on video. He touched and kissed The Black Stone, which is located at the center of the Grand Mosque. His ensuing reaction and how he talks about the way he was embraced on the trip is definitely a cool thing to witness. Via XXL Anyone who follows Kevin Gates has seen a change in the Bread Winners Association boss in the last year. For one, he is now a married man having wed his longtime girlfriend last October. He has also become a devout Muslim. The Baton Rouge MC recently took the pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia to visit the revered Kaaba, and from the looks of things it was a very spiritual experience for the platinum rapper. According to Muslim tradition, The Black Stone, located in the center of the Grand Mosque on the eastern cornerstone of the Kaaba, is a monument that dates back to the era of Adam and Eve. Muslims from all over the world make the trip to Mecca during the Hajj and many visit the Black Stone to touch and kiss the darkened rock as part of the Tawaf ritual. Gates posted video to Instagram of himself and his wife approaching the Stone. He explains how one of the military men guarding the Stone invited him and her to kiss it, which he is humbled by. In the clip, Gates can be seen kissing the Stone at the designated location on the rock. As he makes contact with the Stone his shoulders start to quiver as if he has been moved to tears. A woman in the background then begins to shout in what sounds like Arabic. “This Man I’ve never met – embraced me as if we had known each other our entire lives – one of the greatest Muslims I’ve met in my life – #AllahuAkbar,” he captioned the video. “To be be healed is to be be healed from all things – I’ll never forget this day – in this life and the here after – May Peace Be Upon you All,” he added. Gates seems to be in a good space religiously, financially and music wise. It was recently revealed that his debut album Islah has been certified platinum. Spearheaded by the double platinum single “2 Phones,” it is the first debut album released in 2016 to reach the milestone. And he did it without any features. Word to J. Cole. Congratulations to Kevin Gates for making the holy trip and for his album Islah, which has been certified platinum.

SMH… Hilary Clinton Apologizes For Trump Supporter Comments Remember when we told you that Hilary Clinton went IN on Trump supporters and said that half of them “belong in a basket of deplorables” ??? ‘To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables,” Clinton said. ‘Unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.’ Well the Presidential candidate is backing away from her comments. CNN reports: Hillary Clinton expressed “regret” Saturday for comments in which she said “half” of Donald Trump’s supporters are “deplorables,” meaning people who are racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic. “Last night I was ‘grossly generalistic,’ and that’s never a good idea. I regret saying ‘half’ — that was wrong,” Clinton said in a statement in which she also vowed to call out “bigotry” in Trump’s campaign. The Democratic presidential nominee sparked an uproar late Friday when she described Trump’s supporters at a fundraiser. “To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables,” Clinton said. “Right? Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it.” She added, “And unfortunately, there are people like that and he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people, now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric.” Clinton then said some of these people were “irredeemable” and “not America.” She described the rest of his supporters as people who are looking for change in any form because of economic anxiety and urged her supporters to empathize with them. Say it with your chess, Hil! Her apology makes sense considering how sensitive folks are these days, but she definitely wasn’t wrong!
