A great many of you lost your collective s#!t last week when Beyoncé released an extended trailer to her artsy-fartsy HBO film “Lemonade” which debuts tonight. While the minute-long trailer definitely fanned the flames, no one still has any real idea what the hell this thing is all about. Is it a cohesive movie? A documentary?? Are there scenes of her and Jay Z dressed in onesies reenacting old Destiny’s Child videos??? WHO KNOWS?! What we do know is what we’d LIKE to see. Virginia Governor Signs Executive Order That Allows Felons To Vote Again Rather than having Republicans shut down the idea of restoring felons their voting rights, Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe used his executive power and restored voting rights to hundreds of thousands of felons on Friday. From the New York Times : Gov. Terry McAuliffe of Virginia used his executive power on Friday to restore voting rights to more than 200,000 convicted felons, circumventing the Republican-run legislature. The action effectively overturns a Civil War-era provision in the state’s Constitution aimed, he said, at disenfranchising African-Americans. The sweeping order, in a swing state that could play a role in deciding the November presidential election, will enable all felons who have served their prison time and finished parole or probation to register to vote. Most are African-Americans, a core constituency of Democrats, Mr. McAuliffe’s political party. Amid intensifying national attention over harsh sentencing policies that have disproportionately affected African-Americans, governors and legislatures around the nation have been debating — and often fighting over — moves to restore voting rights for convicted felons. Virginia imposes especially harsh restrictions, barring felons from voting for life. “There’s no question that we’ve had a horrible history in voting rights as relates to African-Americans — we should remedy it,” Mr. McAuliffe said in an interview Thursday, previewing the announcement he made on the steps of Virginia’s Capitol, just yards from where President Abraham Lincoln once addressed freed slaves. “We should do it as soon as we possibly can.” It’s said that an estimated 5.84 million Americans are denied the right to vote because of felony convictions.

BOSSIP Exclusive: Brittney Griner Agrees To Pay Child Support To Glory Johnson

Brittney Griner Will Start Paying For Her Daughters’ Upkeep Former WNBA star Brittney Griner has finally agreed to begin financially supporting her twin baby girls with estranged wife Glory Johnson. Griner will start paying Johnson $2,516 in child support beginning May 1, after the pair appeared via telephone for a hearing April 14 on their divorce in Maricopa County Superior Court. The child support is part of a larger settlement package that the pair agreed to in an Arizona court last week, which will also cover medical expenses and childcare for the couple’s daughters, Ava Simone and Solei Diem. Griner – who the court found is making $1.1 million a year – will also pay 90 percent of Johnson’s childcare costs, or an extra $2,835 a month for two nannies. Griner’s childcare contribution will decrease as the girls get older, according to the hearing minutes. She’ll also have to pay Johnson $8,505 in back childcare expenses.

SMH: High School Fight Over A Boy Leaves 16-Year-Old Delaware Girl Dead

Student Dies After High School Fight Over A Boy A teenage girl has died after getting jumped by several girls in her class over a juvenile argument. A fight broke out between the girl and another student in their high school bathroom before classes commenced for the day…eventually resulting in the girl’s passing after other girls jumped in and banged her head on the hard sink. Via MailOnline : A 16-year-old girl died after getting into a fight with another girl over a boy at a school in Delaware. Officials have not named the girl, but friends and sources close to the investigation identified her as Amy Inita Joyner-Francis, according to The News-Journal. Joyner-Francis was jumped by a gang of bullies in her school’s bathroom Thursday morning. Officials said the fight broke out around 8.15am before classes at Howard High School of Technology, a vocational school in Wilmington, Delaware. Students who witnessed the deadly scuffle said that the 16-year-old and another girl started fighting in one of the women’s bathrooms over a boy, when a gang of other girls jumped the victim. At one point, someone banged her head on a sink, according to witnesses who spoke with 6ABC. Kaya Wilson was in a stall when the fight broke out and spoke with the local news station after leaving school. ‘She was fighting a girl, and then that’s when all these other girls started banking her -like jumping her – and she hit her head on the sink,’ Wilson said. The victim was flown to A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead.The cause of death has not been confirmed News media outlets quoted Police Chief Bobby Cummings as saying that two female students were taken to police headquarters for questioning. Absolutely ridiculous! We know kids fight…this is something they have done since school was invented. But it’s nothing short of a tragedy and a shame that this young girl had to lose her life over something they all probably would have forgotten about in a month if things hadn’t gone so far… Truly sad. You might think that her guiltiest pleasure would be betraying her cats by petting someone else’s felines, but Taylor Swift enjoys an adult beverage as much as the next girl (unless that girl is Lindsay Lohan or something). Unfortunately, Tay-Tay’s cocktail of choice is a truly vile concoction that we would expect from a teenager who just found the key to her parents’ liquor cabinet, not one of the world’s most successful recording artists. Taylor Swift Reveals Her Favorite Things The clip above was posted on YouTube by Vogue today (Taylor is the mag’s May cover girl) What bores her? “Clickbait.” What is something that recently moved her? “The movie The Martian .” The first song that she learned to play on guitar? “‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None the Richer.” (Now it’s stuck in your head! Ha!) So far so good – but the whole thing falls apart when Ms. Swift is asked about her favorite cocktail: A vodka and Diet Coke. If you didn’t just throw up in your mouth a little, you’re not taking the time to imagine what the sweet, chemically combination of aspartame and Stoli lingering on your tongue. The folks at Gawker did some legwork to determine if a vodka-Diet Coke is really a thing that’s consumed by people who are old enough to legally drink.  Apparently recipes are hard to find online, which is really saying something because everything is online in 2016. You could literally spend all day dreaming up the most depraved sexual scenario imaginable, and it would take you approximately four seconds to find a porn about it. Anyway, a Brooklyn-based bartender had this to say when the website asked if anyone orders Taylor’s tipple: “Never. Not once. Because it’s not a cocktail.” There was a time when this would be the point where we’d make a joke about the singer’s taste in booze being worse than her taste in men, but Taylor and Calvin Harri s seem to have a good thing going on.
