Mother Watches Son Get Paddled By School Principal Umm …WTF?! A video shows a 5-year-old boy getting paddled by his school principal in front of his mom. Shana Marie Perez, who recorded the punishment, says she’s had a long-running dispute with the principal. Her son had 18 unexcused absences and she was once arrested for his truancy. The school threatened to have her arrested again if she did not give them permission to paddle Thomas. She told Inside Edition: “I felt like I had no other option. The principal led me to believe that the paddle was the only option.”
Michigan Dept. Of Corrections Ex Inkster Cop William Melendez Get Sentence Overturned In Appeals Court An ex-cop who beat motorist Floyd Dent in the head and choked him during a traffic stop was convicted back in November, but this week an appeals court has overturned his sentence. Originally, William Melendez was serving 13 months to 10 years for beating Dent. The appeals court ruled this week that Melendez can now serve half of his sentence in a boot camp facility where he will train military style for 90 days then move into a halfway house. According to The Root , after 13 months, he is eligible for parole. Talk about adding insult to injury! Dent said he’s suffered memory loss from the incident and has fear for his life.

Prince Rushed To Hospital Prince had a mini-medical scare after his Atlanta appearance the other night, causing his plane to have an emergency landing. Via TMZ : Prince was rushed to a hospital early Friday morning after his jet made an emergency landing in Illinois … TMZ has learned. According to our sources, Prince’s private plane made an unscheduled landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline just after 1 AM. The singer was immediately transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. A rep for Prince tells TMZ, the singer has been fighting the flu for several weeks. He canceled 2 shows on April 7th but wanted to make Thursday night’s performance in Atlanta, even though he was still not feeling well. After the show, he got on a plane and felt considerably worse, so his plane made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, where he was taken to the hospital and treated. He was released 3 hours later, got back on the plane and is now back home. We’re glad he’s doing better! Some of us had a chance to hit up his Atlanta show the other night, and he was beyond amazing — no one could even tell he was ill. Hopefully he can get some rest and fully recuperate! As previously reported rumors recently swirled that a fed up Kim Fields left the show because producers refused to edit out Kenya’s nasty “Chrissy” gay rumors about her husband. According to the actress turned “Dancing With The Stars” competitor however, all decisions about the show were SOLELY made based on her family and career—NOT Kenya. Hello Beautiful reports: “No decisions have been made about RHOA, as I am focusing on my dancing adventure” she told HB. “When designing a career, as I have been doing for the last 40 years, there are many factors involved,” Kim explained, adding that she considers all of her blessings and opportunities before deciding what is best for her and for her family. And the 46-year-old Living Single star doesn’t let petty rumors about her home life even phase her. This week, tabloids circulated reports that she was upset that Bravo producers allowed storylines about her husband’s sexuality to play out and that she based her next move off of those feelings. But Kim ensured us that rumors are simply rumors and that everything she does is based on her career and her family. “Any and all decisions made about my career are based on those factors, period,” she added.
