Source: amphotora / Getty Fugitive To Surrender If He Gets 15,000 Likes On Facebook We certainly live in a time when people will do anything for clout. One Connecticut man even agreed to surrender to police only if he got a certain amount of likes on his wanted poster that was posted on Facebook. 29-year-old Jose Simms has seven arrest warrants and is being sought as a fugitive because he failed to show up for a court appearance. According to Torrington police, Simms is believed to be at large somewhere in the New York area. Lt. “Brett Johnson reported on social media that Simms had contacted him through Facebook and agreed to turn himself in if the social post containing his poster gets 15,000 ‘likes.’ Johnson says he tried to get Simms to agree to 10,000 “likes” but Simms wanted 20,000 — so they split the difference.” So far, the Facebook post has about 3000 likes. Looks like police will be waiting on Jose for a good while — unless they catch him slipping.
Lamar Odom’s hotly anticipated memoir From Darkness to Light hasn’t even been released yet, and already, the former NBA star is shocking the internet with one bombshell revelation after another. And not surprisingly, many of those big reveals have to do with his disastrous marriage to Khloe Kardashian. First, we learned that Lamar is still racked with regret over being all horny and coked up during his marriage . Shortly thereafter, dude went into specifics, revealing that he’s slept with over 2,000 women — and many of those conquests took place while he was still involved with Koko. Khloe probably hoped that her involvement in Lamar’s promotional campaign would end there. But unfortunately for her, it seems he saved some of the most shocking details for last. In one of the book’s most jaw-dropping passages to date, Odom recalls a night back in 2012 when he holed up in LA’s Hotel Roosevelt with lots of blow, lots of booze, and lots of strippers. (Lamar calls them strippers, but considering they followed a heavily intoxicated NBA player back to his hotel room, they were probably planning to do more than just dance with their clothes off.) His plans for the evening went awry when Khloe barged into the room accompanied by her mother, Kris Jenner, and several family security guards. Khloe and Kris had apparently secured a key from the front desk by informing the clerk on duty that Lamar was a severe addict whose life was in danger. (No need to lie on that one.) According to Odom’s recollection, his then-wife and mother-in-law entered the room to find “naked girls everywhere.” Not surprisingly, Khloe and Kris not-so-politely suggested that the girls leave. When one of them offered counterargument, Khloe took the matter into her own hands. “Khloe’s beating the sh-t out of one of the girls who tried to protest,” he writes in the book. “She’s dropping vicious blows all over the top of this girl’s head.” We don’t usually condone violence, but a stripper who refused to leave after dude’s wife came barging in? Yeah, she needed a few vicious blows atop the head. As Radar Online points out , this is not the first time we’ve heard allegations of Khloe getting violent with one of Lamar’s sidepieces. In 2013, she was accused of assaulting a woman named Paulina Polonsky. Insiders say Lamar still hopes to win Khloe back — but we think it’s best for everyone if these two just let the relationship remain dead. Actress Rebecca Gayheart is reflecting on a tragic event from her past. On The Only One in the Room podcast, Gayheart opened up about the June 13, 2001 car accident that resulted in the death of a 9-year-old boy , Jorge Cruz Jr. “I had a very terrible accident happen,” she explained. “A 9-year-old child died. And you know, everything changed from that, and I still have trouble talking about it.” Rebecca explained the event, telling host Laura Cathcart that she was driving when a car in front of her hit the brakes. To avoid hitting the car, Rebecca panicked and swerved around it. “If a car in front of you hits their brakes and they stop, you don’t go around them to avoid hitting them,” she advised, reflecting on her own mistake. “You hit them because there’s a reason they’re stopping.” “I couldn’t see that reason, but that is something that everyone should know,” she said. The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress noted that Cruz was crossing the street to chase after his soccer ball when she accidentally struck him. She was not on drugs or under the influence. Cruz died from the injuries sustained the following day and Gayheart paid the family $10,000 for funeral expenses, according to People . As expected, Rebecca says she “did not cope very well after.” “I just didn’t want to live after that accident… I couldn’t handle it at all,” she explained. “I spent about a year just trying to kill myself basically by doing every self-destructive thing a person can do because I just didn’t understand…any of it.” Gayheart suffered from PTSD following the incident and had ongoing nightmares. The star said that to this day she continues to replay the accident in her head, wondering what she could’ve done to prevent the unfortunate situation. “I still have those questions, but today I am able to ponder those questions and still realize that I deserve to be happy,” she said. “And that I am meant to be on this planet and that I have a purpose and I’m making living amends for that even though it was an accident.” Adding, “[I] can’t imagine what his parents are still feeling like.” After pleading no contest to vehicular manslaughter in November 2001, the actress was sentenced to probation, a one-year suspension of her license, a $2,800 fine, and 750 hours of community service. She also settled a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the child’s parents out of court. Thanks to her 750 hours of community service, she began volunteering with Chrysalis, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless and low-income individuals by providing resources and support to gain employment. “I just found my place,” she said, crediting the people she met through her work with saving her life. And when the organization was struggling financially, she helped create the Butterfly Ball, which has been raising money since 2002. “Being at Chrysalis reinforced what my purpose was and that I did need to be alive,” Rebecca said of the organization. We are just glad that after many years she has been able to find peace and stay in a healthier headspace. These days, Gayheart keeps busy by balancing her acting career as well as being a mom to her two daughters Billie, 9, and Georgia, 7 – whom she shares with ex-husband Eric Dane .
More shocking developments in the increasingly sad saga of former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans today. The disgraced reality star has once again failed to convince a judge that she's capable of providing a safe environment for her children. Jenelle and husband David Eason appeared in court on Friday, and multiple outlets have confirmed that their latest custody hearing did not work out in the couple's favor. According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, Evans' 2-year-old daughter was placed with her controversial grandmother , Barbara Evans. Meanwhile, sources tell celebrity gossip stalwart Radar Online that David's infamous temper got the best of at the worst possible time. Here's everything we know about how it all went down: 1. Another Rough Day In Court Jenelle and David went before a judge on Friday for the second time since their children were removed from their home by CPS earlier this month, following an investigation sparked by his brutal execution of Jenelle’s dog Nugget. 2. Fractured Family At that time, 4-year-old Kaiser was placed with his father, Nathan Griffith, while 2-year-old Ensley and 11-year-old Maryssa were placed with Maryssa’s maternal grandmother. 3. An Odd Arrangement Maryssa is David’s daughter from a previous relationship. The arrangement in which Ensley was placed in a home where she has no biological relatives was confusing to many – including, it seems, the judge. 4. What’s Best For the Kids “It made sense to the judge why Maryssa was with [her mother] Whitney’s mom, but it did not make sense that Ensley was there too, as Ensley is not related to Maryssa’s grandma in any way, so the judge ordered Ensley be moved to a family member’s care,” a source tells The Ashley. 5. Another Relocation According to The Ashley, Barbara was originally to serve as Ensley’s caretaker when she was taken from Jenelle’s home, but the toddler wound up at her other grandmother’s instead. 6.
