But apparently, one fan at a recent concert didn’t get the message. On Friday night, the North Carolina rapper was performing at the Prime Festival in Lansing, Michigan. During his set, video footage posted by the folks over at TMZ shows a fan reaching up to him, seemingly to snatch the jewelry right off his neck. When he makes contact DaBaby’s chain, the performer immediately throws a punch and then retreats to the stage to avoid anyone else in the crowd trying something similar. According to WaPo reports, while visiting HUD’s San Francisco office this week Carson expressed concern about “big, hairy men” trying to gain access to women’s homeless shelters during an internal meeting. Three people present told the WaPo they interpreted Carson’s remarks as an attack on transgender women. Carson’s comments visibly shocked the 50 or so staffers in attendance at the Tuesday meeting, and at least one woman walked out in protest, witnesses to the comments said. Two of the agency staffers said that Carson also lamented that society no longer seemed to know the difference between men and women. SMH. Seriously. WTF. This is coming from the Housing and Urban Development SECRETARY. We’re talking about a group of people who are often subjected to worse housing discrimination than ANYONE. Often subjected to being shunned by their own families. Often in more need of housing than most other groups of people. And the highest government official in the department tasked with making sure AMERICANS in need of shelter talks about them. LIKE This? Another government official told the WaPo that Carson has repeatedly mocked transgender people in internal meetings in Washington. “His overall tone is dismissive and joking about these people,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. “It’s disrespectful of the people we are trying to serve.” Of course once the reports hit the media a HUD senior official released a statement that said: “The Secretary does not use derogatory language to refer to transgendered individuals. Any reporting to the contrary is false.” The official, who asked not to be named because he wasn’t present at the meetings in SF or Washington, said Carson was referring to men who pretend to be women to gain access to battered women’s shelters — and not singling out transgender women as “big, hairy men.” Who would you believe though? The officials at the meetings or the one who wasn’t? According to the three officials at the meeting in San Francisco, Carson prefaced his remarks about transgender people by saying he believed in fairness and equality, but not “special rights” for any class of people. Carson said that “transgender people should get the same rights as everyone else, but they don’t get to change things for everybody else,” according to one staffer who took notes during the meeting. There have already been calls for Carson’s resignation. U.S. Rep. Jennifer Wexton, a Democrat from Virginia called the remarks “revolting,” according to The Hill . “These comments only affirm that his recent efforts to erase the Equal Access Rule are rooted in ignorance, not sound policy. By allowing shelters to discriminate against transgender Americans, the Secretary is putting lives in danger,” she said. We agree. PLEASE American people make it stop.

TMZ caught Jeremy showing up at Catch on Friday night in West Hollywood, where he opened the car door to reveal what appears to be his new love interest. Though he keeps things quiet throughout their entrance and exit from the restaurant , Jeremy does share with the paparazzi that his date for the night is Erica Peeples , an actress who’s appeared in Netflix’s True to the Game and Law and Order . They were inside the restaurant together for about three hours before leaving with one another, which is when Meeks introduced his lady to the paps. Source: Newspix / Getty Kevin Hart And His Passengers Are All Getting Lawyered Up It looks like Kevin Hart and the two people in his car that crashed on September 1 have all gotten themselves lawyers as everyone involved is expecting a big lawsuit. According to reports from TMZ , sources with direct knowledge say the driver–who sustained serious back and chest injuries–has an attorney, as does the passenger in the backseat, who sustained only a few minor injuries. Kevin Hart, of course, has a lawyer as well. Kevin is expected to be in the crosshairs of the other two people inside the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda at the time of the crash because the car was not equipped with any sort of safety harnesses or airbags. The argument here is that Hart should have worried less about keeping the car authentic and more about the actual safety of the vehicle, and not doing so constitutes negligence, on his part. The once driving the car could also be on the hook for both Kev and the backseat passenger, but that presumption is a little premature since the CHP is still investigating the cause of the crash. TMZ also reports that the company that customized the car for Kevin could also be looking at a lawsuit, for those same issues mentioned about safety above. The company is supposed to be the expert on cars, and even if Kevin wanted a custom job without safety harnesses, they should have refused anything that wasn’t safe for those involved, especially with a 720 horsepower engine. Law enforcement sources told the publication that CHP may lobby the California State Legislature to prohibit custom car companies from rolling out products without harnesses, regardless of whether the customer wants them or not.
