Source: Scott Olson / Getty Spokesperson Claims Some Info Leaked To The Press Was “Not Factually Accurate” The always questionable Chicago Police Department is in the hot seat now that they’ve launched an internal investigation surrounding leaks in the Jussie Smollett case. Anthony Guglielmi , a spokesman for the CPD, confirmed with ABC News that the probe was launched last month “during the interrogation of the brothers when information leaked out,” referring to the two Osundairo brothers who investigators claim staged Smollet’s hate crime attack in January. Investigators are trying to determine who anonymously leaked important info about the case to the press. “I will also add that there were several agencies briefed with information during that time and some of the information that went out was not factually accurate,” Guglielmi told ABC News on Thursday. “These types of investigations are fairly common so that we can determine if we have any integrity issues for future cases.” In February, the CPD accused Jussie of staging his attack because he was “dissatisfied with his salary.” He now faces one count of felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report which could carry a three years in prison sentence plus fines.
Source: skynesher / Getty Couple Breaks Measles Quarantine To Go To The Gym Most people will look for any excuse not to go to the gym, but one man’s dedication is seriously dangerous. A Wisconsin couple is facing criminal charges after one of the two violated their measles quarantine order and went to the gym, a criminal complaint said. 57-year-old Jeffery Murawski and his wife, Christine Bennett were each charged with “one misdemeanor count of communicable disease – protection of the public,” according to reports from FOX6 Now . They are both slated to appear in court on March 25. On May 1 of 2018, a Waukesha County sheriff’s deputy pulled over Bennett’s car, which also contained her husband, who allegedly had the measles. It was not immediately clear if he had measles at the time he left the home or was under quarantine. “Aren’t you supposed to be home?” the deputy said. The Waukesha County Health Department ordered Murawski to be confined to his home until he was “deemed non-contagious.” But instead, he decided to leave his home “to go inside Gold’s Gym to work out,” according to prosecutors. Murawski said he left after only a few minutes of working out “because he felt very guilty.” Deputies were outside the man’s home during the quarantine order just in case he left, but he ended up hiding in his wife’s vehile to escape, prosecutors said. Murawski apologized, saying, “he needed to get out of the house because he was going crazy.”
Source: WENN.com / WENN Rising Actress Talks Working With Lena Waithe & Halle Berry & More With BOSSIP Tetona Jackson wants you to know her new show, “Boomerang” on BET, isn’t a remake of the 90s cult classic. The new show picks up on where the 1992 movie starring Eddie Murphy, Robin Givens and Halle Berry left off, continuing the story of womanizing ad exec, Marcus (Murphy) and his colorful love life. Jackson stars as Simone Graham – the daughter of Marcus and Angela (Berry) – in the ensemble cast about young black professionals in Atlanta. “It’s such an iconic film, so I thought it was really cool that they were doing an extension of the film and not redoing the film,” Jackson told us by phone from L.A., where she’s now based. “As soon as I read the script and read my character, I instantly fell in love and wanted to be a part of it.” This new iteration of “Boomerang” focuses on a younger cast of characters, but Jackson said the show is filled with references to the original movie and appeals to both millennials and mature audiences alike. Source: Corey Nickols / Getty Another big plus of being on the show was getting to work with both Lena Waithe and Halle Berry, who were executive producers on the project, Jackson said. “Lena was very hands-on with the project,” Jackson explained. “She flew back and forth to Atlanta when we were filming. She’s a boss…To be around her was a lot of fun and a great learning experience.” Berry was away from the set as she filmed John Wick III in London, Jackson said she got to spend time with her at the Television Critics Association. “She has such a great light, a great spirit,” Jackson said. “So down to earth, such a beautiful soul.” Jackson got the entertainment bug at an early age, Her father was a jazz musician, and she was a dancer for many years before transitioning into acting. Besides “Boomerang,” she has appeared on several movie and TV projects over the years, including “Victorious,” and teen dance drama “All Styles,” and the Hulu series “All Night.” The actress said she hopes to return to Atlanta to film a second season of the show. “I’m so excited and blessed to be part of this project and I’m excited to see where it goes,” she said.

View this post on Instagram This time tomorrow I’m planning on heading back to Vancouver with my mom by my side. We’ve got to get more help and some answers to the pain and awful side effects of all I’ve endured. Hopefully a specialist or someone who knows more about immunotherapy can help. If you’ve recovered from bowel surgery, did probiotics help? I’m the thinnest I’ve been in my life and I just don’t think I can lose any more weight. The fact is that my bowels are working overtime, rumbling all hours of the night and churning whatever food I had into mush. I’ve been trying to keep hydrated and gain weight but the food just doesn’t stay with me. I drink a lot of electrolytes and I haven’t been puking which is a nice change. Cannabis has helped with appetite/sleep but these pain killers also feel like they are destroying my gut. That’s all my life has been pretty much since I got out in October so that’s why I don’t post much, even though I know you guys are cool with me complaining here and there. So, we’re doing this again. I’m not sure I’ll be admitted immediately. I appreciate any advice you have on what you’ve been through. I’m not giving up hope, My body can get through this. A post shared by Elly Mayday (@elly.mayday) on Jan 3, 2019 at 11:18am PST Elly Mayday Dead At 30 Years Old Body positive model Elly Mayday has passed away at the age of 30 years old after a longtime battle with cancer. Born Ashley Luther, she was known on Instagram for encouraging women to love themselves, as is. According to Aol.com, Mayday was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer back in 2013, around the same time she was offered two modeling contracts. She went ahead with her dream, while simultaneously using photos in magazines and on social media to document her fight against the disease. “When Mayday started posting about her ovarian cancer in 2013, she had 30,000 followers on Facebook. Her official fanpage page now has nearly 500,000,” Aol reports. Mayday showed her scars, talked about what it was like to have ovarian cancer, and documented unexpected hair loss. Due to the type of chemotherapy she was receiving, it was unlikely Mayday lose her hair, but when she did, she told her followers: “Our beauty comes out if we accept the changes we must face and allow ourselves to just embrace our differences. My beauty doesn’t come from my hair, no, my beauty comes from within.” Mayday’s family announced her passing on her social media, saying in the post: “She dreamed of making an impact on people’s lives. She achieved this through the creation of Elly Mayday which allowed her to connect with all of you. You all inspired Ashley and we hope she did the same for you.” We’re going to miss the young angel. I actually wasn’t suppose to lose my hair from the type of chemo I was given. There was a slight chance but it was a reassuring thing when told what mixture I’d be on. After 2 weeks I started to notice it come out in my brush. I thought, ah its cause I’m sitting in one spot, I’m not brushing it much, yada yada… Then it really wouldn’t stop. It was annoying, I was tying it up and it would come out with the tie. So I just got rid of it. I’m not upset. I am excited to see how it comes back. I’m also happy to have this second opportunity to show women they can beautiful without hair. All that beauty we hold in our heart comes out through in our eyes, our smiles, the glow of our skin and the way we speak. Our beauty comes out if we accept the changes we must face and allow ourselves to just embrace our differences. My beauty doesn’t come from my hair, no, my beauty comes from within. I’m excited to have another opportunity to show women that bald is beautiful. It’s something I’ve learned and my experience is what I share with all of you. That’s my gift. So bring on the photo shoots, the wigs, the fun. I’m gonna be a cute baldy once again I’m Particularly excited for a nice curly mullet that I’ll grow.
