Jennifer Williams celebrated her birthday this week with two special parties! The “Basketball Wives” beauty took to Twitter to thank God for another year… Then she took to the NYC streets to celebrate with friends. Monday night Jennifer Williams celebrated her birthday with a dinner at Millesime, the seafood brasserie at The Carlton Hotel in NYC. The former star of VH1’s “Basketball Wives” and ex-wife of NBA star Eric Williams, she was joined by friends Including Al Reynolds, Isaiah Washington and Angela Yee, among others. The group started off the dinner with the restaurant’s Caesar grille salad and enjoyed pan roasted chicken breast and tuna steak as mains with sides of creamed spinach and broccolini. The evening culminated with a massive birthday cake brought out for Jennifer as her friends sang happy birthday. Sounds like a blast… aside from the Al Reynolds part. SMH. Twitter/WireImage

The couple held the event at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club, and tickets cost $40,000 per head. “I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama,” Beyonce, 30, said while introducing Obama, 51. “We believe in his vision.” After taking the stage, Obama joked that wife First Lady Michelle Obama and their girls Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, were “mad at me because they aren’t here.” “To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship,” Obama told his hosts. “Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls.” Obama also joked that he and 42-year-old rapper Jay-Z — who welcomed his first child, daughter Blue Ivy, in January 2012 — have a lot in common. “We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are,” he said. “So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there. Rohan Marley is finally speaking on his breakup with Lauryn Hill . The pair, who had been linked since 1996, have five children together (Lauryn’s baby Micah, born last year, was allegedly fathered by a band member). While the relationship was rumored to have ended abruptly in 2011, details have been vague… and they still kinda are, but Rohan drops some clues in a new interview: In an interview with the UK’s Voice , Rohan confirms (sorta, kinda) why their relationship ended. “As a man, there are certain things I don’t accept, and it just so happened that I didn’t accept certain things [in the relationship]. It doesn’t mean she’s [Hill] a bad person or I’m a bad person. It just didn’t work out.” He continues: “[Our relationship] is good as in… in terms of being a mother and father to our children, it’s good. It’s not as perfect as one might want it to be. It’s just the way the road went.” Rohan has since become engaged to Brazilian supermodel Isabeli Fontana. We guess Isabeli hasn’t brought anything he can’t accept into their situation eh? The full interview is in the print issue of the British magazine… Crazy how they got them on the front talking about “I’ve Moved On… I Wanted To Marry Lauryn But She Wasn’t Ready!” We would have thought she’d be ready after all them kids, but hey we know those artists are kinda weird right? It sounds like this guy expected Lauryn to be cool with him creepin out on their situation but he wasn’t trying to do the same thing!
