According to The Daily Mail, the famous couple will exchange vows at Highclere Castle, a famous landmark in England best known as… the site of Downton Abbey! Alamuddin and Clooney reportedly vacationed near the historic residence last week, with the bride-to-be falling in love with the castle. “George became close friends with Hugh Bonneville, who plays Lord Robert Crawley, when they did Monuments Men together last year,” a source tells The Daily Mail. “And they really hit it off. He contacted Hugh and asked him to arrange a private tour of the castle. “Amal was blown away.” Highclere Castle is set on 1,000 acres and representatives have told Clooney they are “most happy to accommodate” his nuptials there. Highclere is located 50 miles from Heathrow, making it a breeze for the bride and groom’s family and friends from overseas to attend. Clooney shocked the world in late April when he proposed to Alamuddin after cooking her dinner.
