Via People.com reports : Kim Kardashian and family once again left home, this time for a somber reason. The reality starlet and Kanye West went to Oklahoma with 2-month-old daughter North on Saturday for the funeral for the rapper’s grandfather, Portwood Williams Sr., who died on Aug. 10 at 98 years old. “That’s why they weren’t at [sister] Kylie’s birthday,” a source confirms to PEOPLE. “They brought North, too. Her first trip.” Back in February, Williams voiced his approval for his grandson’s girlfriend, calling Kardashian “beautiful.” “And she’s just as sweet as she is beautiful,” he told New York’s Daily News. “That’s what I liked about her!” Because they weren’t able to celebrate Jenner’s Sweet 16th party on Saturday, the couple – who welcomed their new addition on June 15 – sent some very special guests in their replacement: hip-hop artists Drake and Big Sean. The rest of the family, including Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and parents Kris and Bruce Jenner, were in attendance at the Alice in Wonderland-themed bash, reports E! News. LAPD Pays $4 Million In Damages To Homeless Couple Wrongfully Shot 11 Times Via NYDailyNews A homeless couple shot by police during a raid in their southern California makeshift home was awarded more than $4 million this week, after a federal judge found the cops used excessive force when they fired. The two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Christopher Conley and Jennifer Pederson — who were looking for a wanted parolee — opened fire on the couple when they burst into the wood-framed shack without a warrant in Oct. 2010. Angel Mendez was shot 10 times in the barrage of bullets and his pregnant wife, Jennifer, was hit once. “If they would’ve announced, ‘Police, open the door’ I would have came out,” Angel Mendez, who lost his leg as a result from the bullet wounds, told NBC Los Angeles. But the cops squeezed off 15 shots when the homeless man reached for a BB gun rifle. One of the rounds hit Jennifer Mendez, who recovered from the wound without any harm done to her unborn baby. “They just continued to fire,” Angel Mendez said. In a video recorded after the shooting, the wounded man pleads with emergency workers to save him. “Oh, please, just don’t let me die, sir,” Mendez says in the footage, which was obtained by NBC News. Of course, LAPD officials deemed the shooting 100% justified “The individual raised a weapon and pointed it at the deputies,” Whitmore told the news station. “They have to do what’s necessary and in this case, they fired.” But U.S. District Judge Michael Fitzgerald awarded $3.8 million to Angel Mendez and $222,000 to his wife for the damages, which he said resulted from the cops violation of the couple’s Fourth Amendment rights. Via RadarOnline reports : Kim Kardashian’s daughter is only two months old but she is so happy about being a mother that she’s already talking about having baby #2! The 32-year-old reality star has been hiding out in her home with North West while she bonds with her baby daddy Kanye West and works to get her pre-baby body back. “She’s told friends that she wants to have another baby soon, within a year,” a source told Life & Style magazine. “Kim’s a planner and she has always had a timeline in her head. Even before Kanye came into the picture she wanted kids while she’s young.” Kim gained approximately 60 pounds while pregnant with her daughter and she’s struggling to shed the weight since giving birth. A source told the magazine that she is hoping to get pregnant again before she loses all the weight. Kim has started to plan to increase her three person family a source told the magazine. “Kim is already talking to people about building her brood and is starting to plan. “Kim wasn’t ready for how totally in love she was going to be with Nori. She can’t believe how much this baby completes her. After such a difficult pregnancy, Kim was on the fence about having a lot of kids. Via NY Daily News reports : A Texas man has been arrested after claiming to be the newly adopted son of first lady Michelle Obama and asking a bank teller to give him access to her account. Police were called to Chase Bank in Bryan, Texas, to reports of a suspicious customer, who was “attempting to access an account under Michelle Obama.” The bank teller quickly determined Johnnie Fletcher Gooden Jr. was not who he said he was and asked him to leave. He refused despite being told that Mrs. Obama doesn’t have an account there. When the police arrived to question the man, the Houston Chronicle reported he had told them that “Mrs. Obama contacted him through Facebook and adopted him and he was now trying to get money out of her bank account.” But the 29-year-old suspect stopped talking when he was challenged by officers. He was arrested and is now in the Brazos County Jail. Bryan Police Department spokeswoman Kelley McKethan said that a criminal background check revealed that Gooden had outstanding warrants for resisting arrest and assault on a public servant. He also ended up with a new drug possession charge after police found a bag of maryjane in the pocket of his shorts. What an idiot. SMH. For Ms. Eichberger, the confusion symbolized the problem plaguing weight-management advertising. “The category just has a sea of same,” she said, marked by celebrity-filled spots and before-and-after pictures. That is why for its next campaign debuting Monday, Jenny Craig is ditching the celebs. No more Valerie Bertinelli, Mariah Carey or Jason Alexander, who have all appeared in Jenny ads in recent years. Christina Milian Flaunts Ring On Her Ring Finger YMCMB songstress Christina Milian seems to have much to celebrate these days. Between her steady gig on “The Voice,” her new record label home and her daughter Violet among other things, CMili is in a pretty good place. Of course, when you find out that first time, you’re like ‘Oh my God! My life is changing. From here on out my life has changed.’ And then you realize that miracle that is inside of you and what’s happening. Even the ups and downs outside my pregnancy, I enjoyed each and every moment of my pregnancy. And the second that I had her, I knew that it was meant to be. Like I never questioned God and I knew that everything was happening for a reason. Now if you had asked me before I was pregnant and before I was married to The-Dream, I thought that I would never have a baby at this time in my life. But everything fell into place,” she says. On her relationship with her daughter: “I’m just thinking about her all the time,” says Milian. “I’m thinking about her even though I have to work all the time. … And I’m very fortunate that I work in an industry where family is more accepted now and I have a family that supports me. Sometimes I need her. When I’m tired and I see her, then I’m awake again. And I act like a kid with her. She is like a ball of fire, a spark of light that when the moment I see her, she lets me know how much she loves me,” says the proud mom. On being a part of YMCMB: “I have a good team around me.
