Cops: Angelina Pivarnick Punched Girl’s Grill

Angelina Pivarnick, formerly of Jersey Shore and currently of various police lineups, didn’t just get in a fight this weekend, she went after the girl. Hard. According to law enforcement, the erroneously self-proclaimed Kim Kardashian of Staten Island punched some chick in the mouth in Atlantic City, N.J. Ange was set to fight a Celebrity Boxing bout against another reality star – Kerry Schwartz, whoever that is – but got into an unsanctioned bout earlier. AC cops claim the wannabe rapper was the aggressor at the Taj Mahal (shocker), allegedly punching the unidentified girl in the face and body. Police say a summons complaint for simple assault has already been mailed to Pivarnick … and she’s due back in court later on this month. Angelina says she plans on cooperating with authorities, but adds, “That night I feel I was provoked, taunted, and harassed into a fight.” “On top of that there are signs pointing in the direction that this was a set up against me and I have witnesses and evidence to prove this.” Just like on Jersey Shore when Snooki whomped her ass , we’re sure she had NOTHING to do with it and the attack came out of nowhere.

Turning More Heads Than a Tesla? The Beautiful Miluira Retro Electric Roadster from Japan

Photo: Takayanagi Will Ship Next Spring Some electric cars try to be as practical and mass-market as possible, while others aim for uniqueness and beautiful design (maybe someday we’ll have a combination of both). The Takayanagi Miluira Retro EV definitely falls in the second category. The electric 1-seater looks kind of like a car from the 1920s with a bit of steampunk aes… Read the full story on TreeHugger

Yoga: It’s Not About Ownership, It’s About Origins

Editor’s note: Though TreeHugger normally writes about the environmental aspects of yoga, over the weekend Jessica wondered whether a religious group can really own yoga , referring to an awareness campaign about the origins of yoga by the Hindu American Foundation . Well, HAF contacted us asking if they could reply to the Jessica’s article, which seemed only fair — even if we’re momentarily deviating from our normal green-themed content. The following is a guest post by Sheetal Shah, Senior Directo… Read the full story on TreeHugger

THG Asks: Does Teen Mom Glorify Teen Pregnancy?

Welcome to THG’s new feature, in which two of our celebrity gossip experts debate topical issues in the entertainment world and you decide who wrote the winning argument! Today, THG Asks : Does Teen Mom glorify teen pregnancy? YES by Free Britney Consequences? What consequences? By paying the Teen Mom cast more than most of us make in a year, MTV effectively rewards irresponsible behavior. Look no further than the fact that Amber Portwood is a tabloid mainstay. So nice to see MTV supports her underage alcoholism and violent tendencies. Yes, the show realistically depicts the personal problems teen moms can experience, but it fosters the notion that you can be a star through pregnancy. MTV will put ANYthing on the air for ratings. It will also recruit a new cast of pregnant teen moms who saw season one and see their ticket to fame. NO by Hilton Hater Does tabloid coverage of Teen Mom glorify teen pregnancy? Absolutely. It makes girls into celebrities for no reason other than getting knocked up at a young age. But the show itself simply chronicles the daily struggles of teens such as Farrah, whose boyfriend died in a car accident prior to the birth of their son; and Maci, who tries to juggle school and a custody battle with raising little Bentley. Indeed, while Bristol Palin simply talks about abstinence – while acting as if the only real consequence of pregnancy is an increased bank account and a spot on TV’s highest rated show – these teen mothers prove the old saying to be true: Actions speak louder than words. And I challenge anyone to watch Amber Portwood in action and not rush out to purchase a lifetime supply of condoms. THG Asks you … does Teen Mom glorify teen pregnancy? Who won this debate?
