Dancing with the Stars Season 10: Nicole and Derek ‘Unbeatable’

On Monday, the couples on Dancing with the Stars Season 10 have given great performances. Singer Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough seem to be the unbeatable couple. Len Goodman, who’s always tough on the duo, admitted that there’s nothing to criticize on their 1950s-style paso doble. The couple earned 29 out of 30 points and surprisingly got a perfect score for their 1950s-style paso doble giving them 59 points out of 60. Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were able to pull themselves back on track. The pair who landed on the bottom two during last week’s result performed an Argentine tango that included a flying leap by the leggy Andrews off the stage and onto Maksim’s shoulders. The couple earned 28 points and 25 points for their 1980s-style rumba, giving them a total score of 53 points. Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya were not able to meet the judges’ expectation. Their waltz didn’t impress them, giving them 27 points. Their futuristic-themed cha cha earned 26 points. They have a total score of 53 points. Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke opened the show with a decent tango giving them 21 points. Their 60s-style jive gave them 24 points. The duo’s total score is 45. Niecy Nash and Louis van Amstel landed at the bottom of the leader board. Their Viennese waltz gave them 23 points and their 90s-themed paso doble earned 20 points. Carter Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani Photo: ABC You would think after starring in a reality-TV show and going through a very public divorce, Kate Gosselin would be used to being a favorite tabloid target. But her former “Dancing With the Stars” partner, Tony Dovolani , said the media scrutiny still gets to her, and it even affected her performance before they were eliminated from the show last month. “What surprised me the most about working with her was how much the tabloids attack her. That really shocked me the most,” Dovolani told MTV News at the third-annual George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic to benefit the Ann and George Lopez Foundation. “There are a lot of untrue stories about her. We read them every single day. It became entertaining. We would laugh at how much stuff people could actually make up. At times, yes, it affected her dancing. When you have a big bull’s-eye on your back as she does, of course it bothers you. It affected me, and it wasn’t directed at me.” Dovolani is convinced that what kept them on the show so long — despite the harsh criticisms they received from judges — was that women connected with Gosselin’s story. “People loved her as a mom,” he said. “Every mom struggles and trying to keep a balance. One kid is a lot, let alone eight.” Now that he and Kate are out, who does Dovolani think is the front-runner in the show? ESPN reporter Erin Andrews. “I love my girl Erin. She’s dancing with my best friend Maks,” he said. “Her personality, her dancing ability, her beauty — everything makes her the front-runner. I think she’s hilarious. Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz to Present at MTV Movie Awards

Past and present co-stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are among the first presenters announced for this year’s MTV Movie Awards, according to reports. We haven’t seen Mr. Crazy Pants in awhile, so that should be exciting. Hopefully there’s a couch for him to jump on … or a montage of Suri Cruise photos . The actors will be joined on the celebrity telecast by Diddy, who is also a confirmed presenter. All this should make for an exciting, star-studded evening. In addition, MTV has announced three new categories in this year’s show: Biggest Bad-Ass Star; Best Scared-As-S— Performance and Global Superstar. Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz on the set of Knight and Day . For the first time, international fans will also have a chance to vote in the latter category by visiting their local MTV sites. North American fans can vote for their favorite nominees in all the categories beginning May 12 through June 5. This year’s MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Aziz Ansari (known for some of the funniest Parks and Recreation quotes ) and will air live on June 6 at 9 p.m.

Michael Douglas Sees Son Imprisonment As Blessing In Disguise

insidesocal World renowned American actor producer Michael Douglas sees son’s imprisonment as a blessing in disguise. Cameron Douglas was sentenced five years on drug charges. “My son has not been sober for this length of time since he was 13 years old,” worried Daddy Douglas told Today show, in an interview airing Monday. “So he was going to be dead or somebody was gonna kill him, and I think he has a chance to start a new life and he knows that. And from my understanding, it’s going to take that amount of time for him to rebuild and start himself afresh.” Cameron Douglas was arrested last year for allegedly dealing methamphetamine. Methamphetamine is also known as metamfetamine (INN),  dextromethamphetamine, methylamphetamine, N-methylamphetamine, desoxyephedrine, and colloquially as meth or crystal meth) is a psychoactive stimulant drug. Last month, he was sentenced to jail time for conspiring to sell crystal meth and for heroin possession. “He’s a great young man,” the elder Douglas adds. “And I wouldn’t be supporting him if I didn’t feel that way.” The Oscar winner (who is revising his famous role of Gordon Gekko in the upcoming Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps).also admits he has grappled with his own sense of responsibility. “I’ve taken blame about being a bad father – if being a bad father is working your butt off trying to create a career at one time,” he says. “When I had Cameron I was early in my career and as opposed to most jobs, making movies takes you all around the world, so you were absentee in that sense.” But these days Douglas – who has two children, Dylan, 9, and Carys, 7, with his current wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones – says his family life is much more settled. “My priorities have completely changed,” says the actor. “My marriage and my families come certainly before my career.” Michael Douglas Sees Son Imprisonment As Blessing In Disguise is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading →
