Six Little McGhee’s premieres next month, and follows the inspirational lives of Mia and Rozonno McGhee as they juggle marriage, a family business, and six toddlers. The McGhee Sextuplets first captured the hearts of America after an online photo went viral and the entire family appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2011. Now for the first time in a new television docu-series, Six Little McGhees will give viewers a glimpse into “often chaotic, always love-filled lives of the unforgettable brood, as their parents struggle to balance the challenges of raising six toddlers with the demands of running their own business.” Viewers learn how the high school sweethearts rose above humble roots to start their own business and after several unsuccessful attempts at starting a family, were blessed with a true miracle – Columbus, Ohio’s first sextuplets, born on June 9, 2010. The series will capture the tender moments, the chaos, the good times as a handful of volunteers join Mia and Rozonno, including Rozonno’s mother (also known as Miss Charmyne), to take care of the six growing toddlers, Josiah, Madison, Olivia, Issac, Rozonno Jr. and Elijah. The blonde bombshell is featured on the cover of the July/August issue wearing nothing but some black knee-high tights and coordinating fingerless fishnet gloves. In addition to the cover photo, McCarthy appears in an eight-page photo spread inside the magazine, her seventh pictorial for Playboy. The 39-year-old told People magazine that this particular photo shoot was particularly special because of the classy factor. “I’m really proud of it,” McCarthy told the magazine. “The pictures are really gorgeous and classy. They could be out of W magazine. They’re really elegant. It’s probably a lot more sophisticated than a lot of the stuff you’d see of people with their clothes on.” McCarthy made her Playboy debut in 1993 as a centerfold and later went on to be named Playmate of the Month and Playmate of the Year. Shortly thereafter MTV enlisted McCarthy to co-host our popular ’90s dating show “Singled Out,” which officially put the model/personality on the pop culture map. Entertainment Weekly deemed McCarthy “the Vanna White for the MTV generation,” and praised her plucky, outspoken and signature touchy-feely hosting methods. Amber Portwood’s Teen Mom career may have just come to an end. An Indiana judge just handed down a tough sentence on the reality star, who’s been in more legal hot water than we can even summarize in this space. In court to deal with the fallout of a recent drug arrest and repeated probation violations , Amber reached a plea deal that keeps her out of the slammer. Barely. That’s about all the tough judge was willing to grant her. After completing rehab , Amber Portwood has been ordered to live in a halfway house for up to THREE YEARS and get a court approved 9-to-5 job five days a week. In case there were any confusion, Teen Mom does not qualify. The judge also banned Amber from taping anything at the halfway house, at her job or while appearing in court … so it’s not like she can film in her “free” time. Portwood is also not allowed to tape anything while hanging out with any other girls who also live at the halfway house. There’s clearly a point being made here. The judge reached out to MTV, and the network assured the court that it would not sue Amber Portwood for breaking her contract because of the sentencing. In the wake of Whitney Houston’s death, the public has heard numerous responses from those that knew the legend well ( Ray J ) to know those speculating wildly in order to increase ratings ( Nancy Grace ). But few were closer to Houston than Aretha Franklin, the artist’s godmother. She spoke to The Today Show this morning about actually hearing the tragic news. “I had just finished watching George Clooney in The Descendants and I flipped back to the regular TV and maybe two minutes after I did that, it came across the screen. I just jumped off the side of the bed [and said] ‘What?’ This could not be. What is this? I just said, ‘Oh my, God.'” Franklin said she had seen previews for Sparkle, a film Houston had recently completed shooting, and was confident the movie would lead to a comeback. “She looked fresh, she looked healthy and she looked gorgeous,” the iconic singer said. “I thought, ‘Yes, she has conquered her challenges and she’s on the way.'” Aretha will sing at Houston’s funeral tomorrow and hopes the public doesn’t focus on “the challenges” her goddaughter faced, but, instead, on all the positive aspects of her life. She even penned the following lyrics to memorialize Houston: Twinkle twinkle superstar/We don’t wonder where you are/Up above the world so bright/Like a diamond in the night/Twinkle twinkle she stood alone/I can’t believe that she’s gone.
