This is outrageous… Police Officer Sentenced To Only 30 Days In Jail For Molestation Charge A Virginia police officer found guilty of multiple counts of child molestation has only been sentenced to serve 30 days in prison with 2 years probation for his crimes against a minor . Gotta love that police privilege … Via FreeThoughtProject : The special treatment a Virginia state trooper received, who was charged with with forcible sodomy on a minor, aggressive sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child, among other charges, will turn your stomach. Fauguier.com reported in December on the details of the charges and the subsequent outcome of the plea bargain. Christopher Allen Carson, 30, pleaded guilty to a felony count of criminal solicitation, a count of contributing to delinquency of a minor and one count of exposing his penis to a child. Carson also pleaded guilty to two counts of loaning pornographic videos to a child. Judge Herman A. Whisenant Jr. accepted Carson’s pleas as part of a bargain on the day Carson was to face a jury trial. Carson was originally charged with forcible sodomy, aggressive sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child. Whisenant recommended a sentence of nine years in prison, all but 30 days of which to be suspended, and two years of probation. As part of the plea agreement, Carson does not have to register as a sex offender. Also as part of the agreement, two additional active charges of forcible sodomy and indecent liberties with a child will be dropped. This man orally forced himself onto a sleeping 7th grader and he will only be going to jail for 30 days. Let that sink in. Also, Carson will not have to comply with Virginia’s Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry Act. This is completely fawked up! They can already legally kill whomever they want…is it also becoming legal for them to molest children?? SMFH!
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was indicted today for “reckless or negligent injury to a child.” Both Peterson and his lawyer have declined to comment. Peterson missed practice yesterday, but the Vikings say the absence was unrelated to the charges brought against him today. Peterson married Ashley Brown in July and has at least five children from previous relationships, though his exes and others have claimed that he’s fathered as many as seven kids. One of Peterson’s sons died last year after being beaten by his mother’s boyfriend. Peterson found out that he was the boy’s father just two months before his death. The 29-year-old running back led the NFL in rushing in 2012, and very nearly broke the record for rushing yards in a single season. The news of Peterson’s indictment comes on the heels of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice’s suspension from the league for an assault on his wife, Janay Rice. While little is known about the charges against Peterson, he posted the following tweet today which may be a reference to the charges against him: “People understand that if you are on G-d’s course and suppose to have that position and man decides to remove you know that G-d will remove everyone to place you rightfully! You matter!” “Its your season! Weapons may form but won’t prosper! God has you covered don’t stress or worry!” We’ll have more on this story as it develops. UPDATE: We have posted a detailed update on Peterson’s admission of whooping his son with a switch .
We have an update on the Adrian Peterson indictment . As previously reported, the star Minnesota Vikings running back was indicted this afternoon in Montgomery County on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child. We can now confirm that the toddler Peterson is accused of abusing is his four-year old son, who was visiting him this summer and who got into an altercation with another one of Peterson’s sons over a video game. (Peterson has at minimum five children with multiple women.) Adrian Peterson Indicted for Child Abuse, Endangerment Through his attorney, the All-Pro says the charges stem from him using a “switch to spank his son,” admitting to this being a disciplinary technique that he’s employed and which was used on him as a child. “This indictment follows Adrian’s full cooperation with authorities who have been looking into this matter. Adrian is a loving father who used his judgement as a parent to discipline his son,” the lawyer’s statement reads. It continues, by way of explanation: “He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced as a child growing up in East Texas. Adrian has never hidden from what happened. “Adrian will address the charges with the same respect and responsiveness he has brought to this inquiry from its beginning. It is important to remember that Adrian never intended to harm his son and deeply regrets the unintentional injury.” According to the official report, the toddler told authorities he has also been hit by a belt and that there are “a lot of belts in daddy’s closet.” Local police say Peterson admitted to them that he administered a “whooping” to the child during his visit to Peterson’s Spring, Texas residence a few months ago. The boy suffered cuts and bruises to areas including his back, buttocks, ankles, scrotum and legs as a result of this beating; his mother took him to a doctor after the child returned home from his visit with Peterson. TMZ has posted photos of the wounds . The police report also lists a number of text messages sent by Peterson to the child’s mother in which he says he “felt bad” for striking his son in the testicles. “Got him in the nuts once I noticed. But I felt so bad, n I’m all tearing that butt up when needed!” the text reads, while a follow-up added: “Never do I go overboard! But all my kids will know, hey daddy has he biggest heart but don’t play no games when it comes to acting right.” The Vikings have deactivated Peterson for their game against the Patriots on Sunday.
Charges Dropped Against White Police Officer Who Killed Unarmed Black Teen The charges against a former Arkansas police officer who gunned down a 15-year-old boy in August of 2012 using the defense that he thought the teen was attempting to run into him with his vehicle have now been dropped and the family of the young man who lost his life is now left still searching for justice. via Arkansas Online A judge has dropped charges against a former Little Rock police officer whose manslaughter trial in the fatal shooting of a teenager while on duty in 2012 twice resulted in deadlocked juries. Josh Hastings returned to court Monday morning for a hearing before a third trial that had been scheduled to begin next month. But at the proceeding before Pulaski County Circuit Judge Wendell Griffen, prosecutors requested dropping the charges instead of going to trial. Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney John Johnson noted the facts were largely undisputed but that the two mistrials brought to light that “this is a unique case where there can be no unanimity of the jury.” “We believe that he should have been found guilty,” Johnson said while acknowledging he now believes getting that verdict would be impossible. “Not just difficult. We have no good-faith basis we would ever get a jury to unanimously convict.” The dismissal does allow the charges to be refiled, though Hastings’ defense attorney said afterward that it’s hard to imagine that would occur. Johnson noted the family of 15-year-old Bobby Moore, whom Hastings fatally shot, objected to the decision to dismiss charges. Deazzaray Perkins, Moore’s older sister, blasted prosecutors for dropping the charges “when they know this man was in the wrong.” “He killed a 15-year-old child,” she said in an impassioned statement to reporters by the front steps of the courthouse. “They think we’re supposed to be OK with it? I’m not … That was my baby brother. It’s been three years. Hastings on Aug. 12, 2012, shot Moore while investigating a report of vehicle break-ins at the Shadow Lake apartment complex in Little Rock. Hastings says he opened fire while Moore drove a vehicle toward him, but prosecutors in the first two trials contended that the vehicle was not moving toward Hastings and that he acted recklessly in opening fire. Hastings was fired from the force after police investigated the shooting. His attorney, Bill James, said Hastings will seek to get his job back. This shooting took place only 6 months after acquitted child-murderer George Zimmerman gunned down unarmed teen Trayvon Martin and sadly, both cases have seen the same outcome. What will it take for these men and other like them to be held accountable for their reckless actions???

9-Month-Old Boy Charged With Attempted Murder via Fox News A nine-month-old Pakistani boy sat on his father’s lap, sucking on a bottle during a court appearance where he and at least 30 others were charged with attempted murder. Little Muhammad Mosa Khan was also charged with threatening police and interfering in state affairs at a Pakistan court Thursday. Khan and others in the group were booked following a police raid to catch suspected gas thieves in the city of Lahore, The Times of India reported. Police say the suspects tried to kill security officers by throwing stones at them. But Khan’s father, Ahmed—who is also accused– says the crowd was protesting an electricity shortage. Ahmed claims police created a fake case against him, his son and others in the group and urged authorities to drop the charges. “Our crime is that we had protested against non-availability of electricity in our locality,” Ahmed said. Judge Rafaqat Ali first directed police to record the child’s statement, then when he realized his age, granted him bail and adjourned the case until April 12. The judge could not dismiss the case as it’s not under his jurisdiction. Senior Superintendent of Police Rana Jabbar said there was a misunderstanding that led police to book the minor in the case. The assistant superintendent who filed the charges against the infant has been suspended. As crazy as things get over in Pakistan at times, we’re surprised that this was actually a mistake. Man Charged 2nd Degree Murder, Shot Son Dead Over Cable Is it ever really that serious??? Via CBS Local Minnesota: An 84-year-old man is charged with shooting and killing his son after a dispute over the son paying to install cable television in the house, according to charges filed Thursday. Pang Se Vang is charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of his son, 36-year-old Chue Vang. According to the criminal charges, several people were in the house when police arrived in response to the Monday shooting, including the suspect’s wife, two sons and one of the son’s infant children. Police spoke to the eldest brother who said he was sleeping upstairs when his mother woke him up and told him his father shot his brother. He came downstairs and found his brother, Chue, who was bleeding and appeared to be dead, according to the charges. That’s when his father walked out of a bedroom holding a shotgun. The son told police he grabbed the gun and wrestled it away from his father but during the struggle, the gun discharged into the ceiling, according to the complaint. Upon arrival, an officer called the suspect, who was still locked in a bedroom, and asked him to come outside with his hands up. Pang Vang responded that he couldn’t come out because he stabbed himself in the chest. He told the officer that he and his son were arguing and that he grabbed his hunting shotgun, pointed it at his son and shot him, according to the charges. He said he then stabbed himself because he “did not want to settle the issue in court. He would settle the dispute with his son when they reached the afterlife,” according to the complaint. Pang Vang was treated for stab wounds to his abdomen and neck and formally arrested on Wednesday. He is currently at the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center, being held on a $1 million bond. Vang is the oldest person charged with murder in Ramsey County in the last 30 years. If convicted, he could face up to 40 years in prison. The family said Chue Vang will be laid to rest on April 3. At 1,200 pounds, Mayra Rosales was one of the heaviest women in the world when she confessed to the 2008 death of her 2-year old nephew, earning the moniker the “Half-Ton Killer.” Since being acquitted of the charges, Rosales has lost over 800 pounds. She now has a clean criminal record and a clean bill of health. Half-Ton Killer Talks About Taking Rap For Her Sister In the five years since her trial, Rosales lost over half her body weight through diet, exercise, and after losing 600 pounds, began undergoing extensive surgeries to remove tumors and excess skin from her frame. The 33-year old now shows no signs of someone who has battled obesity. Rosales’ trial had all the markings of a three-ring media circus , both due to the nature of the charges against her and her size. Film crews documented work crews removing walls from her home in order to move Rosales and her king-sized bed to court in a moving truck. She faced the death penalty in the capital murder case, and because of her weight and health, Rosales saw the charges against her as the state doing her a favor. At the time of her confession, Mayra Rosales wanted to die. She confessed to crushing her 2-year old nephew in order to protect the boy’s real killer–his mother, Rosales’ sister. A documentary about Rosales’ life and incredible transformation is set to air December 4 on TLC.
