Justin Bieber may have written and recorded “Boyfriend” with Selena Gomez in mind , but the teenage singer’s girlfriend might not be happy to get a look at her man’s upcoming video. A 20-second tease for the video has been released and in it Justin is standing alone, in the dark, belting out the lyrics… until a series of female hands start to caress his torso and his face. They’re everywhere! Who knows what happens next, of course. Perhaps Justin leaves this enticing situation and finds comfort in the young woman about whom he’s promising to “be a gentleman” and “never let go.” We’ll find out soon when the full video takes over the Internet. He’s a bad mamma jamma … Charles Barkley recently stuffed himself into a dress for an ad for Weight Watchers in which he pledges to do anything necessary to get the attention of men looking to lose weight: Charles Barkley admitted that his weight had gotten out of hand and turned to Weight Watchers to try to lose weight. “I’ve always joked and complained about my home state of Alabama being fat,” Barkley, the studio analyst for Turner Network Television’s NBA coverage, told Page 2 a few months ago. “Well, I forgot that I was fat.” Barkley started the program in the fall and now has lost 42 pounds. Starting in April, Barkley will unveil a new set of TV commercials and here’s a first look at a photo in the ads. In the “Lose Like a Man” campaign, Barkley provides commentary on topics including the “man food” he is never deprived of, reasons why guys don’t diet, dieting on your own and being a role model. “You can’t give fat people small meals and think they’ll stick to the plan,” Barkley said. “I had to learn how to change my eating habits. Let’s be real: You see anyone who gets fat eating fruits and vegetables? So I’m starting to eat more of them now!” Sir Charles, who stars in TNT’s NBA pre-and post-game studio shows, has been appearing in Weight Watchers ads since December as part of the marketer’s outreach to men. Harry Potter star (or, as Saturday Night Live ‘s Jason Sudeikis dubs him below, “Sex Wizard”) Daniel Radcliffe will step up to host SNL this Saturday, so to prepare for the big night he and Sudeikis shot a promo video teasing the hilarity to come. “Are you doing a character? Like a chimney sweep?” Sudeikis asks upon hearing Radcliffe speak. “Can you do an American accent?” With a resounding “Chill, broseph,” Radcliffe shows that yes, he totes can. Watch the erstwhile Harry Potter speak bro and wax poetic about Mountain Dew after the jump. I’m inclined to be optimistic that SNL first-timer Radcliffe can pull off the gig, probably playing straight man to Sudeikis and Co. like many a guest host from the world of dramatic acting. Will it top Charles Barkley’s ratings grabber from last weekend? Probably not — that is, unless Radcliffe heeds Sudeikis’s words of wisdom and dances like nobody’s watching. From Eva Green’s witch, Angelique, to what’s really up with Dr. Hoffman, here are the top things we’re itching to see. Pictures We are just five months away from the release of the hottest vampire movie that doesn’t sparkle in the sunshine, and we’re starting to get excited. Very excited. But unlike the other major movies that have earned themselves a column here at MTV — “The Avengers,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” “The Hunger Games” and “The Twilight Saga” — we are still waiting for a trailer for “Dark Shadows.” And, well, we’re starting to get pretty impatient. So far, director Tim Burton has kept a tight lid on his vampire soap opera — only a few official pics from the set (and one much-discussed paparazzi shot of Johnny Depp in character as Barnabas Collins) have been released. But the new year should bring fresh blood. We know filming has wrapped and that things apparently went so well on set that Michelle Pfeiffer told MTV News while promoting “New Year’s Eve” that working on “Dark Shadows” was “a dream job.” Pfeiffer, who plays family matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, added that she hopes the film does well so “we can do a bunch of them, because it was such a fantastic, creative group of people.” Whether that on-set camaraderie will translate into the campy big-screen spook-fest we’re hoping for remains to be seen, and while we hope the trailer doesn’t give too much away, here are a few things we’re hoping to see when it arrives. 1. Eva Green in action as Angelique Angelique Bouchard is the witch who turned Barnabas into a vampire in the late 1700s after their affair went sour. She’s a woman with an axe to grind and has been haunting and cursing the Collins family ever since. So far, the only image we’ve seen of Green in character is the full cast shot, in which she stands in the background wearing modern clothes. We hope the trailer gives us a taste of how the “Casino Royale” Bond girl is going to play the over-the-top villainess. This is a scenery-chewing role that any actress worth her salt would have a field day with. We have faith that the super sexy starlet will do it justice, but a little advance evidence would be nice. We want to see corsets, blood and maybe a voodoo doll or two. 2. A little insight into what Dr. Hoffman is up to For us, one of the biggest mysteries of the film is exactly what role Helena Bonham Carter’s Dr. Julia Hoffman will play in the shenanigans at Collinwood Mansion. The actress has described her character as “an alcoholic psychologist,” and screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith told Entertainment Weekly that Hoffman “has been there for years, working with David [Collins] but not making any progress. He still claims he sees ghosts and talks with his dead mother.” Grahame-Smith goes on to describe the character as “a woman with a lot of secrets herself” who is “interested in Barnabas in more than one way.” What no one has mentioned is Hoffman’s role, in the original series, as a blood disorders specialist who attempts to cure Barnabas of his vampirism. We’ll be watching this trailer very closely to see if HBC is carrying more vials than she is notepads. 3. Collinwood Mansion We got a glimpse of the manor in the cast shot, with its Gothic windows and ancient-looking rugs, but we’re excited to see the rest of the haunted mansion. Overlooking the Atlantic from Collinsport, Maine, the house contains a room that is a gateway to a parallel time, for goodness’ sake. Given that so much of the action of the series takes place within the walls of the mansion, we’re really hoping that Burton and his first-class team of art directors, set designers and cinematographers got it right and captured the regal horror of the place. Saturday will be the pop singer’s third time as the show’s musical guest. By Jim Cantiello Kelly Clarkson Photo: MTV News This weekend, Kelly Clarkson is making her third appearance on “Saturday Night Live” as the musical guest. But the bubbly singer insists that being a part of NBC’s iconic show will never feel old hat. “I’m a three-peat! I’ve made it,” Clarkson exclaimed to MTV News when we caught up with her at rehearsals. “It’s a legendary stage! I’ve been watching it since I was a kid. I think we all have.” More so than the enormity of playing Studio 8H, Clarkson said she digs the vibe of the cast and crew. “It’s a fun environment. You don’t feel like you’re working … This is like a family place. Everybody here is nice to people who aren’t famous. You know what I’m saying? They’re nice to my makeup artist, my hair guy … I hate people who are just nice to famous people. It bothers me. I want to kick ’em,” she chuckled. Clarkson still thinks about her first appearance on “SNL” in 2005, when she became the first “American Idol” winner to snag a musical guest spot. Even cooler, she got to flex her comedic muscles in a couple of skits with former cast members Amy Poehler and Horatio Sanz. “I remember I was so excited. First of all, Horatio? He’s hard to do skits with because you laugh ’cause he laughs all the time at [himself]. So you’re laughing ’cause he’s laughing, and I’m trying to keep a straight face. I had so much fun.” But this go-around, Clarkson’s too busy to participate in any sketches, even though the politically charged “SNL” could write comedy gold for Clarkson, who recently found herself in the middle of the presidential race when she casually tweeted about digging Ron Paul’s campaign . The singer’s always down to poke fun at herself and be goofy, but alas, tour rehearsals are top priority. “We’re literally flying in and out [of New York]. Charles Barkley’s hosting, so he’s doing all the skits.” Kelly fans can still look forward to two high-energy performances. During a break from commentating on the Atlanta Hawks / Miami Heat game at Philips Arena, NBA vet and Weight Watchers spokesman Charles Barkley got a little too honest. Most likely unaware that his mic and the camera was still on, Barkley told his colleagues about how motivated he is to stick with the Weight Watchers regiment. He also took a few shots at the Atlanta Hawks. “ I’ve been on Weight Watchers three months, ” he said “I have to lose two pounds a week. I’m at 38 pounds now. They come and weigh me every two weeks. I ain’t never missed a weigh-in. Never going to. I’m feeling much better. But I ain’t giving away no money… I’m not giving away no free money. Daniel Radcliffe is set to make his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live January 14, NBC has announced. Lana Del Rey will serve as musical guest that week. With the conclusion of the epic Harry Potter franchise, Radcliffe cemented his status as one of the most talented and original performers of his generation. He’s looking forward to more weighty projects in the future, however (see The Woman in Black trailer ) and we have no doubt he’ll continue to thrive. Charles Barkley will host SNL January 7.
