In what can only be described as one of the more bizarre friendships to originate on Twitter, Miley Cyrus and Charlie Sheen have formed something of a bond on the social networking site. Cyrus, who just recently returned to Twitter — she left back in 2009, telling followers it was at the suggestion of on-again, off-again boyfriend Liam Hemsworth — has become one of the former “Two and a Half Men” star’s record-breaking 3.4 million-plus followers. On Sunday, Cyrus tweeted from her new account, @gypsyhearttour: “Do not fear…the Sheenius is here!’ I’m not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow Charlie Sheen.” Since then, the 18-year-old has been trading tweets with the troubled 45-year-old actor, who is currently on the road with his shaky My Violent Torpedo of Truth tour. “Dear Miley, Welcome back to Twitter! Always felt you were epic! Now you proved it! Thanks for the love,” Sheen wrote in response to Cyrus, to which she replied, “I always felt the same about you! You have taught me everything I know about WINNING. Duh!” Cyrus, who won the Favorite Movie Actress at the Kids’ Choice Awards over the weekend, shared on Monday, “Makin dinner for my fam right now. Honey sesame chicken, garlic rice & salad. There’s only one thing missing & that’s Charlie Sheen.” Cyrus even gave a shout-out to Conan O’Brien in one of her Sheen-based tweets, when she posted, “The only person that even comes close to winning as hard core as @charliesheen is @ConanOBrien =] I will see ya tonight @ 11 COB! TWEET ME!” Of course, this isn’t the first time the former “Hannah Montana” star has caused a stir with her Twitter conversations. In October 2009, she aired out what was believed to be a fued with fellow Disney starlets Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez . Cyrus posted a picture of herself with Lovato, who had become close to Gomez, and wrote, “Now this is what true friendship looks like. None of that hollywood crap. @ddlovato I miss you = ]” Cyrus also had a minor Twitter battle with ex-boyfriend Justin Gaston that year. In one post Gaston wrote, “People mistake stupidity for bravery way to easily.” The “Party in the USA” singer then shot back, “Yeah. I love when people mistake bravery with writing a few stupid tweets trying to make it seem like they don’t care. Liam Hemsworth, best known for being in The Last Song and Miley Cyrus’ pants, will now be seen in the wildly-anticipated film adaptation of The Hunger Games . Hemsworth has been cast as Gale Hawthorne, the close companion / secret hunting partner of Katniss Everdeen, the lead character played by Jennifer Lawrence. Think these two will make a formidable on-screen tandem? CASTING GAMES : Liam Hemsworth will star alongside Jennifer Lawrence . The casting news was confirmed by E! Online. Whether or not Liam and Miley are back together has not yet been independently verified, but stay tuned. Meanwhile, coming off a critically-acclaimed role in The Kids Are Alright , up and comer Josh Hutcherson won the highly sought-after part of Peeta Mellark. The role of Peeta, the brave baker’s son who enters the games with Katniss, was rumored to be filled by Alex Pettyfer and Hunter Parrish. Didn’t happen.
Last month, we reported that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would be back for a second season, with the whole cast returning for all the fun. Might the second half of that statement have been premature? Kyle Richards, a.k.a. the gorgeous, normal and happy one (relatively speaking) is now hinting at an early exit from the Bravo franchise, according to EW . The sister of co-star Kim Richards and aunt to Paris and Nicky Hilton isn’t confirming a departure just yet, but isn’t sure she’ll be back on it either. “The show has been picked up for a second season, but I’m not sure if I’m coming back yet,” she said, sending chills through the spines of fans. While rumors about new cast members (Faye Resnick, Ayda Field ) have been flying, Bravo is keeping mum on cast moves and possible additions. “The only thing we’ve announced is that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is coming back for a second season,” a rep for the network told EW . Charlie Sheen “plays” Cleveland tonight. Tickets are still available. A lot of them. The first show of his Torpedo of Truth tour was such a historic debacle , a huge number of people dumped tickets to future dates onto the secondary market. Also, a large number of tickets remain unsold at all, even after Sheen redeemed himself (sort of) with a better-received Chicago performance (below). Sheen Live Tour – Torpedoes of Truth According to online exchanges, the average ticket to Sheen’s upcoming Radio City Music Hall date went for between $125-$150 last week on its website. Yesterday, that average sale price sank to $80. Today, $50. An Orchestra seat at Radio City can now be had for as little as $24, far, far below face value. Not that Sheen likely cares. “I already got your money, dude,” he told a Detroit fan who booed him. “You paid your hard-earned money without knowing what this show was about.” At least fewer people will be making that mistake now.

Charlie Sheen debuted his collaboration with Snoop Dogg , “Winning,” at the first stop on his “My Violent Torpedo Of Truth” tour in Detroit. The song was recorded recently at Charlie’s home. Sheen’s first show in Detroit was met with a less than enthusiastic response from the Detroit crowd who booed the actor repeatedly throughout his set. The second show in Chicago was reportedly received better by the audience. In addition to the usual compliment of cowboy hats and bedazzled boots, there was a healthy dose of rock and pop glitter at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In addition to “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler lending his formidable pipes to a duet with Carrie Underwood on her hit “Undo It,” the pair chewed up the stage for Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way,” with Underwood looking comfortable screeching the song’s chorus into a microphone with a glittery whip on the end. There were also some awards handed out, including four to Miranda Lambert, who won Best Female Vocalist, as well as Single, Song and Video of the Year honors for her tune “The House That Built Me.” But her roll ended at the fan-voted Entertainer of the Year trophy, which went to Taylor Swift, 21, the youngest-ever winner of that honor. “This is the first time I’ve ever won this, and I’m just losing my mind,” a teary Swift said in her signature breathless manner. “The fact that this is from the fans makes it so beautiful. … You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Ever … We just got back from touring in Europe and Asia, so thank you for this wonderful welcome-home gift.” Earlier in the night, Swift premiered her new single, a get back tune at critics who’ve slagged her live singing in the past, which she performed while plucking a banjo. It was a big night for Grammy winners Lady Antebellum as well, with the country trio winning Top Vocal Group and Album of the Year for Need You Now, while bluegrass newcomers the Band Perry snagged Best New Artist. It was five in a row for Brad Paisley, who once again went home with the Best Male Vocalist hardware and the Gwyneth Paltrow-starring “Country Strong” took the Tex Ritter Award for films that emphasize country music. The performance-heavy three-hour show also featured the sight of Rihanna being joined by Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles for a dramatic duet on Ri’s new single, “California King Bed,” and folk pop icon James Taylor joined Zac Brown for a medley of “Colder Weather” and “Sweet Baby James.” Among the presenters were “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest, as well as Robert Pattinson , who appeared on the show with his “Water for Elephants” co-star Reese Witherspoon.
