The sudden firing of Selma Blair from Charlie Sheen‘s Anger Management has prompted a lot of speculation regarding why she was shown the door. Rumors indicated that Blair complained to colleagues behind Sheen’s back about his work ethic, but a new report says it was more complicated than that. According to Radar , Blair’s complaints about Charlie were to someone outside of the show, and a chain of gossip brought the information back to Sheen. That led to Charlie getting Selma Blair fired , a decision made in part because he was “incredibly attracted” to his co-star, which made him feel betrayed. “He loved her,” a source familiar with their relationship said. “They grew very close. When it came time to cast for his new show he wanted her.” “He was crazy about her. Call it lust at the very least .” “As the show began Sheen was still highly attracted to Selma. Call it flirtatious or whatever you want, but his feelings were obvious. He thought there was chemistry.” But Sheen and Blair had mutual friends and one of those friends sabotaged her with him, after she allegedly talked smack, leading to his outburst. “Charlie has reverted to his usual behavior on the set,” the source revealed. “He is late, sometimes he is hours late. The whole cast is bothered by it.” “There have even been times when he sits in the car for approximately an hour outside of the studio making everyone wait, just because he can.” Blair was upset and so were other people on the show, but, the source insists, she did NOT complain to execs or anyone associated with the show. “You don’t talk behind someone’s back when you work with them. With Charlie if you have an issue, you go directly to him,” the source said. Blair, however, complained about the star to a close friend and divulged details of his behavior, which got back to him, and Charlie Sheen was enraged . “Charlie was furious when it got back to him,” the source said. “It didn’t happen all at once. Charlie Sheen wants Selma Blair 86’d from Anger Management ASAP, and has even threatened to WALK from his own show if she isn’t given the pink slip. It’s not looking like an idle threat, either. Charlie came to work Monday and told producers he wants the termination process started RIGHT NOW or else. The actor wants Selma Blair fired so badly is because (he says) she’s been talking about him behind his back, and specifically trashing his work ethic. As such, an irate Charlie says it’s either Selma or him. Sheen understands that it’s complicated stuff, getting fired from a TV show (he would know). However, he’s made it clear they need to work on it … yesterday. Blair was not on set yesterday, and it’s unclear if she was scheduled to work or if she’ll be back. Asked by TMZ about the situation, she did not comment. FX network execs are currently in talks about how to handle this, but no decision has been reached that we know of and it’ll be interesting to see play out. It’s a bold move by Charlie, but as we saw from his hilarious Farrah Abraham rejection letter , the usually jovial star can turn nasty if you cross him. How bold a move is it? Monetarily, try around nine figures’ worth. If Sheen completes the rest of FX’s 100-episode order for Anger Management, he could earn $100-200 million through the sitcom’s eventual syndication. Charlie Brown Actor Gets Probation In Stalking Case According to TMZ The former voice of Charlie Brown was sentenced to 1 year in jail for stalking and threatening an ex-girlfriend and her plastic surgeon … but he’s getting off with time served. Peter Robbins was arrested back in January, pleaded guilty in April … and got slapped with the 365 day sentence in San Diego today. Thanks to an 8-month rehab program, and the 110 days he’s already done behind bars … he’ll avoid further jail time. Robbins — who voiced Chuck in “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” — got busted after threatening his ex and the surgeon who did her breast enhancement. Robbins also got 5 years probation, a 10-year order to “stay away” from the doc — and has to pay $15,081.90 in restitution to his ex. What a blockhead. Stalking?
