Although… If you’re some lowlife still living off iTunes instead of the various options for streaming services then shame on you. No judgment though. According to CNBC , Apple announced at their annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) that they’ll be officially shutting down iTunes, its 18-year-old digital media software. To take its place, Mac users will have three separate apps for music, podcasts and TV. The transition will go down when the macOS Catalina, the latest Mac operating system, debuts in the fall. If you’re still someone who uses iTunes and has your loads of illegal downloads and favorite hard-to-find CDs uploaded to your library, rest assured. Apple confirmed that your iTunes content won’t just vanish from the digital universe. “Users will have access to their entire music library, whether they downloaded the songs, purchased them or ripped them from a CD,” a press release read. The company explained that when Mac users update their software, the music currently in their library will transfer to the Apple Music app. Meanwhile, T.V. and movie purchases will transfer to the Apple TV app. Mac users will be able to access the iTunes Music Store within the Music app, and they can buy movies and T.V. shows in the TV app. Windows users will witness no change in their iTunes experience, and iTunes Store gift cards are still valid. For folks who want to keep their digital files forever, you can feel free to download them to an external hard drive or upload them to a cloud service. It’s a new world folks, and Apple is running it… At least for now.

Source: Brian Stukes / Getty A federal grand jury has indicted Baltimore rapper “Chad Focus” of Randallstown on conspiracy, wire fraud, and identity theft charges for using his employers credit card to make over $4.1 million in unauthorized purchases. According to the indictment, 31-year-old Chad Arrington was working as Search Engine Optimization Specialist from around 2011 to August 2018. Arrington and four co-conspirators allegedly used the credit card for fraudulent purchases, for their own benefit and to promote the Chad Focus brand. The card was used to buy studio kits, instruments, and music technology, to create his Chad Focus alter ego and produce a number of hip-hop songs through his own company, Focus Music Entertainment LLC. $250,000 in other purchases were made for electric bikes, hover boards, and scooters. He also reportedly made purchases from online streaming platforms to increase the chances of his songs being played by creating more “likes”, “followers,” “tags,” and “views” on social media. Additionally, Arrington fraudulently invested in services that promoted his mixtape videos, music, and to pay for billboards to display his website and image, representing Chad Focus and Music Entertainment nationwide. If convicted, he faces up to 22 years in prison. Not only that, Eva Camby is fed up with the baller reportedly fathering a secret child during their 14 years of marriage. Apparently, Camby was dragged to court woman named Noemi Valdez in December 2018 over a child he fathered in 2011. Camby pays $4,000 a month in child support for the baby girl, Makiah Camby, according to The Blast . She named his secret seed as one of the reasons she decided to split the marriage. According to divorce documents obtained by The Blast , Eva Camby accuses Marcus of causing her personal injuries and claims he “repeatedly and continuously committed adultery, including fathering an extra-martial child in her divorce petition. Eva wants their prenuptial agreement they signed in 2005 to be tossed, saying it is “unconscionable” and claims she signed the deal “under duress.” Marcus Camby has responded to the divorce petition. He asked the judge to enforce their 2005 prenuptial agreement. He is also seeking 50/50 custody of their kids and wanted the judge to order his ex to not trash him on social media or hide their kids from him. Yikes!

Ernie Hines filed a $2 million lawsuit against Timbaland, who used the original recording to create songs for Jay-Z and Ginuwine separately. The Blast reports : 81-year-old Ernie Hines filed a lawsuit, obtained by The Blast, against Jay-Z, Timbaland, Roc-A-Fella Records, Def Jam Recordings, Universal Music Group and Sony Music. Hines, a soul musician from Jackson, Mississippi, says he’s the co-author and composer of the 1969 song, “Help Me,” which was sampled on both Jay-Z’s “Paper Chase” from the Hard Knock Life album, and Ginuwine’s 1999 song, “Toe 2 Toe.” Timbaland produced both tracks, and the document notes that “Toe 2 Toe” has sold over “2 million copies.” Hines’ attorney, Christopher Brown, writes that his client is a “senior citizen, does not listen to rap music and was unaware” that the songs contained his music and composition. Source: Shareif Ziyadat / Getty Hov Slapped With Lawsuit For Using An Uncleared Sample According to TMZ , Hov is in a little legal trouble after reportedly not clearing a sample for a song off his “Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life” album. Guitarist Ernie Hines recently filed suit against Hov , Roc-A-Fella Records, Sony Music and Timbaland, claiming they ripped one of his songs from back in 1969 and used it on Jay’s 1998 record “Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life” without his permission and failed to pay him. Hines says his track “Help Me Put Out the Flame (In My Heart)” was sampled for the ‘Vol. 2’ song “Paper Chase” but he didn’t even become aware of it until last year because he claimed he was old and doesn’t listen to rap music. Hines also claims Timbaland also used ‘Help Me’ on Ginuwine’s 1999 album, “100% Ginuwine” — once again without his permission or without any payment. Hines says the songs have been played on a lot of platforms over the years, and that he’s owed a lot of bread. He’s suing for damages exceeding $2 million.
