Florida Man Tries To Carjack Unmarked Cop Car A knife-wielding Florida man who attempted a carjacking Thursday night quickly discovered that the vehicle he targeted was an undercover cop car occupied by a pair of armed plainclothes detectives, according to an arrest affidavit. Via The Smoking Gun : Dominique Albert, 27, allegedly approached the car on a St. Petersburg street around 9:45 PM and yanked open the passenger door. Albert, pictured at right, leaned into the auto while holding a steak knife in his right hand. While Albert’s would-be victims were initially startled by the interloper, they quickly rallied. “Police!,” shouted Detective Daniel Torok from the driver’s seat as he drew his handgun and leveled it at Albert, who “turned and fled on foot.” Torok and his partner then chased after Albert, who dropped his knife during the pursuit. When the cops caught up with Albert, he “fought Police with violence, but was finally taken into custody after a lengthy fight.” Albert, who allegedly continued to struggle after being handcuffed, stopped resisting after a backup officer “deployed his Taser.” A search of Albert turned up two other “large, fixed blade knives,” police reported. Charged with carjacking, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, all felonies, Albert is locked up on $170,000 bond. At the time of the alleged carjacking, the hapless Albert was free on bond in connection with an arrest last month for shoplifting at a Walmart store. Welcome to Florida!!!!!

Such a sad, tragic story . Via Pix 11 : A two-year-old is dead and two other pedestrians, including another child, are hurt after they were struck by a postal truck in New Jersey, authorities said. The crash happened Monday on Rahway Avenue near South Street and Chilton Street. The children’s grandmother, was walking with her two-year-old granddaughter and other grandchild, 4, when the collision occurred, officials said. No names have been released; the grandmother who is in her 50s, is currently having brain surgery at University Hospital. The 4-year-old boy is there as well, with a few abrasions, waiting to be picked up by his father. The Sheriff’s Office and Police Department are working together, as the accident is still under investigation. Witness Andres Figueroa told PIX11 News the woman was carrying the youngest victim in her arms when the truck came toward them. She turned back to the truck, apparently in an attempt to protect the toddler, but when she was hit, the child went flying out of her arms and landed on the pavement. So sad ! According to BOSSIP sources the former NFL baller has dumped Crystal Bates , the woman who recently gave birth to his fifth child, shattering her dreams of them moving in together and raising their combined family of 9 kids (they each had four before the birth of baby Kennedi)!!! According to our source, Ochostinko met Crystal in the strip club where she waitressed — she promptly quit that gig after he purchased a Range Rover and other expensive gifts for her. But those things have come to a halt since the baby’s birth. “It’s a sad story,” the source tells BOSSIP. “He did her dirty. Got her pregnant and sold her a dream. She wants to marry him and he won’t even let her and her 5 kids move into his house.” SMH. Teacher Kidnapped By Husband’s Mistress, Killed In Murder-Suicide A high speed chase ended with the death of an Atlanta-area teacher and another woman on an Alabama interstate today. Police from Alabama and Georgia gave chase as a woman, believed to the mistress of the teacher’s husband, sped across state lines after kidnapping the woman from her home. Via WXIA : Police say a longtime special needs teacher was killed by her kidnapper following a chase that crossed state lines on Thursday. According to Clayton County police, 49-year-old Sandra Barnett, a teacher McNair Middle School, died after her kidnapper shot her in a car stopped on the middle of Interstate 20. The suspect then shot herself, police said. It all began Wednesday afternoon when neighbors of Barnett said they spotted a black Dodge Durango outside of the teacher’s home. The neighbors became suspicious because Barnett had recently replaced the lock on her gate to her backyard after believing that someone had tampered with the latch. Clayton County police said they believe that the girlfriend of Barnett’s husband was the kidnapper. According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, deputies spotted the Durango around noon on Thursday at a truck stop on I-20 near the Waco exit, and a chase ensued. The driver led officers heading west on Interstate 20 through Carroll and Haralson counties. When the chase crossed state lines, the Alabama State Patrol joined in. The chase continued to mile marker 208 where the vehicle stopped suddenly while being pursued. According to Clayton County authorities, the suspect reached into the back of the car, retrieved a gun and shot Barnett before turning the gun on herself. When Alabama troopers approached the car, they found the two women dead. Officials said that officers did not fire their weapons nor were they fired upon. SMH! Rihanna Becomes New Creative Director Of Stance Socks BadGalRiRi continues to make it rain on them hoes… Via Complex Rihanna has been named contributing creative director of Stance, the official sock provider of the NBA. The singer dropped hints that she was designing a collection with the brand in May, but this partnership goes beyond just a collaborative collection, WWD reports. Rihanna has signed a three year deal with Stance that will see her star in campaigns and design collections for the brand. The first full collection will be here in the fall, but Stance is releasing two pairs designed by Rihanna today. Crew socks for men and women that have been numbered 1 to 1,500 to symbolize their limited-edition nature will be available along with an over-the-knee style printed with vintage newspaper ads, only 1,000 pairs of the latter will be up for purchase. “I’ve had a great relationship with Stance for a long time and I am happy to be working with them on such a fun and creative project,” Rihanna told WWD. Even more excited about the partnership was Stance’s Candy Harris who told Refinery 29, “This is a seminal moment for the sock category.” She also says Rihanna was very involved in the creation of her socks. “She was incredibly hands-on from the initial mood boards and inception of the collection to the design process and ultimate the final campaign shoot,” Harris said.
