Well, let it not be said that we here at The Hollywood Gossip can't admit when we're wrong. For years, Jenelle Evans has been talking about her makeup line , and for years, we've been saying it'll probably never happen. Well, it looks like we were mistaken. Multiple sources are now indicating that Evans and her team have selected a launch date for JE Cosmetics. But will the products actually wind up in stores this time, or will this launch date quietly come and go, like so many others over the years? Here's what we know about the situation thus far: 1. Finally Yes, folks, it’s all happening! Jenelle Evans is finally launching her makeup line! But some fans are still skeptical that the products will actually be made available to the public. 2. Looking Back Jenelle, of course, has been teasing the release of her makeup line for YEARS now, and a pattern has emerged in her promotional efforts. 3. Makeup Shake-Ups It goes something like this: Jenelle announces a vague launch schedule (a certain month or season); said month or season comes and goes; Jenelle never explains why the launch didn’t happen. 4. But This Time … This time, however, things are somewhat different, in that Jenelle has announced a specific date for the release of her long-, long-awaited makeup line. 5. Start Getting In Line Now! According to announcements made on her Instagram page and some event called Miami Swim Week, JE Cosmetics will be available for purchase on September 19! 6. Inauspicious Start Unfortunately, the launch is already off to a rocky start, as the announcement has been deleted from Jenelle’s Instagram page. View Slideshow

Source: Ivan Nikolov/WENN.com / WENN Chicago Mom Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Taraji P. Henson’s Identity A mom of six, suffering from bipolar disorder and currently pregnant with her seventh child, is in hot water after she allegedly stole Taraji P. Henson ‘s identity. 29-year-old Alicia Newby was reportedly able to rack up $12K after targeting the Empire actress and several others. From the Chicago Tribune : A pregnant mother of six trembled throughout a court hearing Sunday as prosecutors accused her of stealing the identities of several people, including a star of the Fox television show “Empire,” and collecting thousands of dollars in merchandise mailed to dummy addresses. Alicia Newby quietly sobbed next to her court-appointed attorney at the Leighton Criminal Court Building, charged with a single felony count of continuing a financial crime enterprise. Newby, 29, was ordered released on a $10,000 signature bail and electronic monitoring, but was forbidden from contacting victims or witnesses. During the hearing before Judge Charles S. Beach II, prosecutors didn’t name either of Newby’s alleged victims, but police and court records list actress Taraji P. Henson, 48, as one of them. A representative for the Oscar- and Emmy-nominated actress who stars in the hip-hop drama that films in Chicago couldn’t be reached for comment Sunday afternoon. According to the report, about $4,000 worth of fraudulent charges were canceled after Henson’s manager noticed a discrepancy last August. The connection between Newby and avid mental health advocate Taraji P. Henson hasn’t been discovered yet, but authorities say Newby somehow gained access to Henson’s email… Authorities did not say how Newby and Henson knew one another, but a police source said investigators were also looking into whether any other cast members of “Empire” may have been victims. A key to Newby’s success was compromising Henson’s email, prosecutors said. “Once this was done, the defendant then raided the account for a variety of information,” including phone numbers, addresses, financial accounts and telephone numbers that she could then use to purchase items online, Assistant State’s Attorney James Costello told the court. In addition to defrauding Henson, Newby also defrauded JP Morgan Chase, American Express and PayPal and multiple other merchants in her scheme, according to charging documents. Yikes! It also appears this isn’t Newby’s only run-in with the law… Last September, a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier refused to deliver packages to one of the addresses, believing it was being used in an ID theft scam, but was allegedly “assaulted” by Newby, demanding that she deliver the packages, prosecutors said. Police officers called to the scene captured the woman’s demands on body-worn camera. But Newby later received the packages after she caused a scene at the local post office, Costello said. Authorities lost track of Newby in December after she cleared out of an apartment, leaving behind thousands of dollars in damages and about $4,000 in unpaid rent. She resurfaced earlier this year when she pawned a designer purse using her real state identification card, Costello said. The pawnbroker and three postal employees identified Newby by photo. We hope this young woman and her children get the help that they need.

Source: Courtesy Focus Features / Focus Features The Trailer For ‘Harriet’ Will Give You Chills The trailer for November’s highly anticipated Focus Features release ‘Harriet’ has finally arrived and we are so excited to share it with you. Based on the story of iconic freedom fighter Harriet Tubman, Harriet follows Tubman on her escape from slavery and subsequent missions to free dozens of slaves through the Underground Railroad in the face of growing pre-Civil War adversity. “This is the story of a seemingly powerless woman who accomplished the extraordinary to save her loved ones, and in the process became a leader of and inspiration for her people,” said producers Debra Martin Chase and Daniela Taplin Lundberg. “While Harriet Tubman is a household name, most people don’t know the breadth of her story – not only was she a conductor on the Underground Railroad, but she was a spy for the Union army and remains one of the the few women to have led an armed expedition in US history.” There was a ton of controversy over whether or not the role should have gone to an African-American actress rather than Erivo , do you think the trailer proves she was up to the task? No lie we not only caught the chills watching the trailer, we also shed actual TEARS.
Source: Dennis Fischer Photography / Getty A Father Drove His Two Severely Autistic Sons Off Of A Pier In California A man in California has been charged with capital murder for killing his two sons, who both have severe autism. He is being accused of taking out insurance policies to cover his family and then driving his car off a Los Angeles-area pier four years ago, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office reported. 44-year-old Ali Elmezayen was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder with the special circumstance allegations of multiple murders carried out for his financial gain. Prosecutors involved in the case said that he purchased $6 million in life insurance policies to cover his family in the event of an accidental death. Elmezayen is currently under federal custody and will first be tried on the insurance fraud charges, then the murder charges. He was in the car with his wife and two sons back in April of 2015 when he drove it off the berth and plunged them all into the water, according to prosecutors. Ali’s car window was open, and he swam to the surface within 30 seconds before making his way to a ladder on the pier. His wife, Rabab Diab, couldn’t swim, but authorities said that she was rescued by a fisherman after surfacing and screaming, “My kids, my kids.” “The poor lady was screaming hysterically,” recalled fisherman Ray Prince. “I thought she was going to drown.” Their two boys, 8-year-old Abdelkarim and 13-year-old Elhassan, couldn’t swim and were also strapped into child seats. Their lifeless bodies ended up being pulled from the car later by rescue divers. Following this incident, Elmezayen collected more than $260,000 in insurance payouts for the deaths and then wired over $170,000 back to his native Egypt, prosecutors in the fraud case explained. Initially, the district attorney declined to bring charges in his sons’ deaths because of insufficient evidence. A police mechanic found that the brake pedal in the vehicle didn’t properly work, but couldn’t tell if that was the case before the tragedy or because of the salt water corrosion. These new charges are a result of a further investigation. If convicted of murder, Ali Elmezayen faces a possible maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.
