Teen Mom 2 Recap: The Puerto Rican Baby Shower Blues

This week on Teen Mom 2, Briana’s baby shower went downhill in a hurry when Luis showed up, while Jenelle finally had her day in court. Elsewhere, Kailyn struggled with juggling school, the boys, Javi, Jo, and Leah considered her all options regarding Ali’s special needs. Watch Teen Mom 2 Season 9 Episode 9 Online Yes, things got pretty rough for Kailyn on  Teen Mom 2 Season 9 Episode 9 . All those kids and dads … it’s hard emotionally. And logistically. For instance, she was forced to Lincoln and Isaac to school after realizing that Javi was driving too small of a car for their child trade-off. “The queen gets whatever she wants,” Javi snarked, even before she gave him a hard time about the process, which can be stressful. Still, the tensions get to them sometimes … like when Kail put the boys in a soundproof room to argue (they were super cute, FWIW). Later, Jo Rivera called and asked if he could see Isaac, she said no, and Jo told Vee Torres that he plans on going to court soon. The goal? To try to get more time with Isaac. As for the THIRD man in the picture these days, Kailyn seemed relatively sanguine about the prospect of raising a kid with Chris Lopez. She said he would never challenge her in court or want child support, unlike Javi and Jo … of course, if that’s true, what is the reason? Chris has been adamant about remaining off-camera and while the photo of Lopez holding Baby Lo last weekend was great, is it a priority? Does he want to be MIA whenever he wants and be present only when it’s convenient for him, not when Kailyn or the baby need him? We’re not judging or saying we can predict the future, but Lopez himself has made overtures toward being a peripheral figure at best. Just saying. And here’s hoping we won’t be. Meanwhile, Leah Messer got Ali an aide after her physical limitations continued to wreak havoc on her health, and her daily life. Chelsea also took Aubree out for a girls day out, and while MTV may try to make it appear otherwise, they are just the cutest. Jenelle finally had her day in court as her quest to win custody of Jace back reached a turning point … that did not go in her favor. Seriously, this is Jenelle we’re talking about. Finally, Briana DeJesus’ baby shower quickly took a bizarre turn when Luis Miguel and his friends showed up at it with a camera. Adam Lind Ditches Aubree’s Father-Daughter Dance AGAIN!

Look, we all know Adam Lind is a garbage person. Not a person whose job it is to collect trash — no, those people are fine citizens who perform an important service for society. Adam Lind is a garbage person in the way that he may literally be made of garbage . He’s that awful. We don’t have time to recount all the many, many ways in which he is the worst — no one has that kind of time. But just to do a quick recap, he’s failed a drug test earlier this year when he was found to have meth in his system , and people in his life claim that he also does steroids. The mother of his second child has also claimed that he’s killed her puppies , and that he’s been abusive towards her in the past. On top of all that, he’s one of the worst parents in Teen Mom history. And right now, we’re going to focus on that last bit. Though we’ve seen many, many examples of Adam being a bad father on Teen Mom 2, perhaps the most heartbreaking example was when he stood up his daughter, Aubree, for a dance . Last year, Aubree’s school had a special father-daughter dance, and she got permission from her school to bring both Adam and Chelsea Houska’s then-boyfriend, Cole DeBoer. (She wanted Cole to come along because while Adam is her father, Cole is her “other daddy,” as she explained at the time.) Ultimately Adam didn’t show up at all, and he didn’t call or text, either, so Cole took Aubree by himself. The next time the poor little girl was with her dad, she asked him why he didn’t show up for the dance, and he told her he was busy practicing for a weight-lifting competition. Pathetic, right? And now, thanks to a bittersweet Teen Mom 2 sneak peek, we know that Adam missed this year’s father-daughter dance , too. The clip starts with Aubree and Cole riding around in his truck, and he asks her “Are you ready to go dancin’?!” “I didn’t know it was tonight,” she tells him, and he confirms that the father-daughter dance is indeed that night. “Better bring your dancing shoes, ’cause it’s on,” he says. Did we mention that it’s physically painful how adorable Cole is ? Later that day, we see Aubree and home with Chelsea, and Cole brings in two bouquets of flowers for his stepdaughter. One of Chelsea’s nieces is there too, and it looks like her father, Randy, is accompanying her to the dance. Chelsea asks Aubree if she can see her dance moves, and she obliges, then Chelsea shows off her moves, and all the while little baby Watson is chilling in a baby swing. Randy even gets in on the dancing, too! Cutest Teen Mom 2 clip ever? It’s a solid possibility. It’s also pretty telling that this time around, there’s not even a mention of Adam. But on the other … man, how is Adam this big of a douchebag?

Chelsea Houska: See the Most ADORABLE Moment Between Aubree and Cole DeBoer!

If you watch Teen Mom, chances are you really, really love your trashy reality television — and hey, there's nothing wrong with that. Most people can't look away from a good train wreck , and, for the most part, that's what Teen Mom is. But in between all the relentless drama, between Jenelle Evans having meltdowns and Farrah Abraham yelling at literally every person she comes across, it's good to have a palate cleanser. You know, a cute moment, something to lighten the mood. And Chelsea Houska's life has become the sweetest palate cleanser there is . Sure, she's still got some Adam Lind drama, but we don't see as much of it as we used to on Teen Mom 2. These days, it's pretty much just baby stuff, sweet scenes with Aubree, and Chelsea and Cole being #relationshipgoals all day long. If you're not quite sure what we mean, just check out this new sneak peek for Monday's episode. In the clip, which is seriously so very, very precious, Aubree and Cole are hanging out while Chelsea tends to little baby Watson. They decide to make some ghost spray, or as Cole calls it, “Aubree's Powerful, Butt-Kickin' Ghost Spray.” He helps her make the label and mix the formula — it looks like the ghost spray consists of mostly glitter — and then instructs her to spray him once “so I can have protection.” Yes, Cole, a grown man, lets Aubree spray him with glitter. The love must be so real. She then uses some of the spray on Chelsea — just her legs though, since she's feeding Watson — and she also squirts some around the living room. When she's done, she gives Cole a hug as he congratulates her on a job well done. And just like the Grinch, our hearts grew three sizes by watching this. Chelsea Houska: See Footage from Her ADORABLE Baby Shower!

Don't you just adore Chelsea Houska? While you're sitting down to watch Teen Mom 2 online , it's nice to know there is one uplifting, shining bright spot that awaits you. Seeing Jenelle Evans fighting with anyone and everyone, Kailyn Lowry's endless drama, and Leah Messer's personal tragedies … well, it can get tough. It's hard to watch clip after clip of sadness and awfulness, you know? But thanks to Chelsea, we always know we'll get to see at least a little happiness in every episode. All the Adam Lind nonsense aside , that girl has a happy, healthy family, and it's a welcome change on the show. And if you need an example of the kind of thing we're talking about, think back to all the Teen Mom 2 sneak peeks we've seen this week … … then check out this new one below. Instead of Leah being blamed for her ex-husband's breakup or Jenelle having yet another meltdown in front of her children , we have this. A pure clip of Chelsea's baby shower. Or, sorry, her “diaper keg.” When Chelsea was pregnant with adorable little Watson, she wanted to have a party to celebrate, but not a traditional baby shower. So her family and friends gathered together and … well, you'll see how it goes. In this darling footage, we see Aubree being just as cute as ever, and Chelsea and Cole are #RelationshipGoals just like always. We also see Chelsea eating a cupcake and twerking while very pregnant, so there's that. And instead of traditional baby shower games, some of the guests chug baby bottles full of beer to see who can finish the fastest. Kendall and Kylie Jenner: Donating Earnings from Offensive T-Shirts?

Earlier this week, Kendall and Kylie Jenner started up one of the dumbest scandals we’ve ever seen. It was really and truly just ridiculous. Somehow, someway, the littlest Jenners thought it was a good idea to make a line of t-shirts featuring photos of popular musicians — with their own faces laid over them . The artists they chose included the likes of Tupac, Notorious B.I.G. The Doors, Pink Floyd, and more. So just picture your favorite legendary music act on a shirt, then a semi-transparant photo of Kendall and/or Kylie on top of it. It’s just … why? On top of the offensive, possibly illegal use of those images, the Jenner girls also had the nerve to ask $125 for one of their silly shirts. It’s no wonder they’ve been receiving a boatload of backlash. First, the mother of the late Notorious B.I.G. commented on the shirts on her Instagram page, writing that she wasn’t sure who told Kylie and Kendall “that they had the right to do this.” “The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me,” she continued. “I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful, disgusting and exploitation at its worst!” Since another shirt featured Ozzy Osbourne, his family also felt the need to comment . His wife, Sharon, tweeted “Girls, you haven’t earned the right to put your face with musical icons. Stick to what you know … lip gloss.” Fun, right? Kendall has issued an apology , stating that “These designs were no well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone hat has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists.” “We are huge fans of heir music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in any way. The tee shits have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed.” She added that “We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes, and again we are very sorry.” It seems the apology, while nice, wasn’t exactly enough — Biggie Smalls’ estate made an additional statement about it. “While we appreciate that the Jenners have made an apology and pulled the unlawful and unauthorized items, this matter has yet to be resolved,” the statement read. Could there possibly be some legal action in the near future? Just in case, it seems like Kendall and Kylie are eager to make things right as much as they can. As a source explains to Hollywood Life, “They are definitely feeling bad over the fallout of their t-shirt line and are not happy that they are getting threatened with lawsuits and taking a lot of heat for it.” Easy solution: don’t do dumb stuff, then you won’t get heat. The source claims that “They are considering donating all the proceeds of the shirts that were sold to the charities of the families to make their apology actually mean something more.” Really, that’s the least they should do. Farrah Abraham: Rape and Abuse to Blame for Bad Behavior?!

It’s not that easy to like Farrah Abraham. She has a whole, whole lot of flaws, and if you know anything about her, you know what we’re talking about. She’s so rude all the time , she screams and shouts for no reason, it seems like she lacks any communication skills whatsoever … the list goes on and on. But according to some interesting tweets from her father, Michael Abraham, there’s an explanation for all of that. And it’s a pretty dark one. It all started yesterday, when people began sending messages to Michael about Farrah. In response to one of the messages, he referred to her as his “daugther,” an easy enough typo to make. Someone replied, saying that “Well, we can see where she gets her illiterate word salad from, can’t we?!” Which doesn’t make sense — Farrah doesn’t typically make typos so much as she strings together words and phrases that loosely mean something sometimes . Michael said that “Mine comes from being a disabled VET for hearing loss… Farrah’s is from her trauma — shame on you for your judgement.” “What trauma?” another person asked. “You guys mention it but never say what trauma. What happened to Farrah?” It’s a fair question — for years now, Farrah and her family have referred to trauma she’s endured. We heard about it during her time on Couples Therapy , she’s mentioned it on Teen Mom reunion specials, but she’s never given any details. Even during the Abrahams’ recent stay in Marriage Boot Camp, we learned that Farrah’s mother, Debra Danielsen, was abusive , but there still seems to be so much more to the story. To answer the question, Michael wrote that “It was many things…fighting between her mom & father, Debra & her physical actions toward Farrah & her sister. Farrah was raped a few years ago.” Someone told him “When she did PORN, THAT’S NOT RAPE,” and that didn’t sit well. “Get your head out of your ass…” Michael replied. “It happened (yes Farrah was raped) after that video… facts not your hate.” He doesn’t give any details about the alleged rape, of course, but he could be referring to Farrah’s claims that she was raped by her sex tape co-star , James Deen. In 2015, adult film star Stoya accused James Deen of sexually assaulting her, and several other women came forward as well. At the time, Farrah tweeted “I’m not going to say ‘I TOLD YOU SO’ but I’m to busy for Rapists #weakAreStrong #speakout #slutwalk.” She’s also said said that after the release of her sex tape, she was ” drugged and rape more than once .” Even though it sounds like she’s faced some truly horrific ordeals, people were still intent to hate on Farrah after Michael’s tweets. “Many ppl have trauma…” one person pointed out to him. “Still gives no one the right to treat ppl like dirt. She needs to control that sh-t.” But Michael hit back with “Some people can not and Farrah is working with professionals to overcome it.” What a mess. Hopefully, if Farrah really is dealing with all of this trauma, she’s getting the help she needs to move forward. Briana DeJesus: See Her First Footage from Teen Mom 2!

In just a few short weeks, something amazing will happen for trashy reality show lovers everywhere … Teen Mom 2 will return for a brand new season! It's exciting for a number of reasons, the first one being that life just isn't the same without some weekly Teen Mom drama . We're also pretty pumped to see both Jenelle Evans and Chelsea Houska give birth to their babies — they'll both be pregnant for the season premiere. And we'll get to see Kailyn Lowry break the news to those around her that she's pregnant with her third child , though more than likely we won't see the baby's father, Chris Lopez. Then there's also the brand new excitement of a fifth cast member! Briana DeJesus from Teen Mom 3 is joining the cast this season , which is … interesting. A lot of people weren't too thrilled to hear the news that she'd be added to the show, and for good reason. Teen Mom 2 has been about Jenelle, Chelsea, Kailyn and Leah for its entirety, so to bring on a new girl out of nowhere feels weird. We've had so much time to get to know the girls, so to throw a relative stranger in there doesn't sound great. But Briana has so much drama to bring to the show — she's pregnant with her second child right now, and the baby's father has apparently been cheating on her throughout her pregnancy. She's also not too friendly with the father of her daughter, Nova, and there's also that whole thing where her entire family is a little bit insane. Still, even though Briana promises to bring the thunder, we've still got doubts. And this new sneak peek of her footage from the show isn't doing much to convince us otherwise.   In the clip, Briana talks with a few MTV producers about the decision to bring her back to the franchise after all this time — as she points out, the last time she filmed was when her daughter was an infant. She's five years old now. Briana says that even though she's nervous to get “back in the spotlight,” she's excited to show people how she's been doing since Teen Mom 3 ended. She's also excited to bring something new to fans of the show. We'll see how it goes — there's no chance we're missing the show, so we'll see her either way — but she's going to need to do better than this. Steve Bannon: Sean Spicer Is Too Fat For Press Briefings

Steve Bannon is not the kind of guy you expect to engage in body-shaming. For starters, he looks like if someone put a suit and tie on Keith Richards’ liver and taught it words like “globalist” and “cuck.” On top of that, he’s a 63-year-old White House strategist, not a 15-year-old Taylor Swift fan trolling Katy Perry on Instagram. But body-shaming is just what President Bannon is being accused of today after comments he made regarding Sean Spicer’s reduced role behind the White House press room podium. Asked why more press briefings are taking place off-camera, Bannon didn’t give the obvious reply (“Have you seen those trainwrecks?!”), but instead delivered a one-liner that went over about as well as the first Trump Care proposal. “Sean got fatter,” Bannon reportedly told a reporter. The comment caught the attention of many social media users, including Chelsea Clinton, who called Bannon out for what she considers fat-shaming: “The White House using fat shaming to justify increased opacity. 2017,” Clinton tweeted. When several of Clinton’s followers pointed out that Bannon appeared to be joking, Clinton amended her statement slightly: “Oh ok. So using fat shaming to avoid answering questions about increasing opacity. Got it. 2017,” the former first daughter tweeted. Few White House press secretaries have received as much attention as Spicer, and that’s not by design. Spicer’s obvious ineptitude has made him a frequent target for ridicule and even inspired a series of memorable SNL sketches in which Spicer is played by Melissa McCarthy . Judging from the reaction to his joke today, Bannon should probably leave the humor to her. There have long been rumblings that President Trump would like to replace Spicer with Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee-Sanders. Reducing the amount of time Spicy spends on camera is seen by many as the first step toward replacing him with Huckabee-Sanders, so it’s not hard to see why Bannon would be keen to laugh off questions from reporters. Kate Middleton Gives Us Royal Wedding Flashbacks

It isn’t just that Kate Middleton looks stunningly royal in this white outfit for the Royal Ascot. Though of course she does. But her outfit seems perfectly tailored (literally) to be a callback to her wedding dress. Her white lace ensemble isn’t identical to her wedding dress, but come on . The similarities can’t be accidental. She and William had one of the most famous weddings on the whole planet. Ever. So no, we don’t imagine that a tailor was just sitting around trying out different designs and produced this by accident. Or even unconsciously. Whatever the motivation behind it, though, it’s a gorgeous design. White can be a bold choice in the spring, but it tends to contrast better with rich greens and floral colors and helps you to stand out. Not that Kate Middleton could ever just fade into the background. There is one major difference that sets this apart from her wedding dress, and we don’t mean the lack of a veil. She’s wearing a nametag. Obviously, she wasn’t wearing anything of the sort on her wedding day. That would have been silly — she was the bride! Though … she’s still the Duchess of Cambridge … she’s married to Prince William. She’s Kate Middleton . Surely a name tag is just as ridiculous now as it was then. Who on the planet, let alone who there at the Royal Ascot, is going to fail to notice? But, if you think about it, maybe Kate was wearing one so that others wouldn’t feel discouraged about wearing theirs. If Kate Middleton’s wearing a name tag, no one in the world should feel silly wearing one to the same event, you know? And that seems in keeping with her character. Though let’s not rule out that maybe she just thought that it would be hilarious if she wore a name tag. Wearing white has traditionally been a bold statement. And no, it has nothing to do with virginity — that association came in later. No; wearing white was historically a status symbol. Basically, it meant that you could have your clothing cleaned whenever. Think back to times when clothes getting washed meant that they were scrubbed by the river. Yeah — it’s hard to picture them getting as white as they first were, ever again. Royal colors came from expensive dyes — that’s a different thing. How white came to be part of wedding dresses is its own long story. But Kate’s wedding dress is one of the world’s most famous. And her Royal Ascot outfit is letting us relive that signature look. The monarchy’s continued existence is controversial at best. But wearing white is no longer indicative of wealth — or poverty. Or anything silly like virginity — there aren’t many virgin brides around. We just think that it looks nice on Kate. But then, doesn’t everything?
