In new ‘Diary’ clips, Justin Bieber rehearses ‘Eenie Meenie’ with Sean Kingston and does vocal exercises lying on the floor. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News & Docs While MTV News has been following Justin Bieber all around Manhattan as he promotes his new album, My World 2.0, earlier this year, his life was being documented by a camera crew for a new special about him, airing this weekend. On Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET, fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be the teen idol in MTV’s “The Diary of Justin Bieber.” In one clip from the special, Bieber is lying on his back with his backup singers all around him doing vocal exercises by singing the phrase “I know” over and over again. In another clip, Bieber, his backup singers and Sean Kingston groove and practice their track “Eenie Meenie” before Bieber sings his part all on his own. In other clips from the show, Bieber is seen on a promotional tour for the album performing for various crowds and even playing a little basketball during his downtime. When asked how he finds inspiration for his love songs, he tells a reporter that anyone can find and experience love at any time. “It’s weird when people say, ‘You’re only 15,’ because I know I am only 15, but at the same time I think at any age you can experience love,” he said. “Whether you’re 80 or 5, you’re always gonna … I don’t know. There’s a difference between love and being in love, because you can love someone but not necessarily be in love. So I think I’ve loved girls, but I don’t know — I haven’t been in love before.” Are you excited for Justin’s “Diary”? Let us know in the comments! ‘The Diary of Justin Bieber’ airs on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m., but you can get a sneak peek right here! By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber in “The Diary of Justin Bieber” Photo: MTV News & Docs On Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET, fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be Justin Bieber in MTV’s special, “The Diary of Justin Bieber.” In this preview of the special, which was filmed last month while the singer was in France promoting his album My World 2.0 — which comes out tomorrow — he speaks to a reporter from his hotel room about how he finds inspiration for his love songs at such a young age (he turned 16 earlier this month). “It’s weird when people say, ‘You’re only 15,’ because I know I am only 15, but at the same time I think at any age you can experience love. Whether you’re 80 or 5 you’re always gonna … I don’t know. There’s a difference between love and being in love because you can love someone but not necessarily be in love. So I think I’ve loved girls, but I don’t know — I haven’t been in love before. Bieber allows that he first found love at an even earlier age. “I was 13,” he says, before mentioning Ludacris, who collaborated with him on the song “Baby.” “Luda says [in the song] he was 13 [when he first found love].” In another scene, Bieber is at an indoor basketball court goofing around, dribbling the ball. Before he leaves he decides to try his hand at sinking a basket from half court. “Last shot of the day, this is how we do it,” he says. And, almost flawlessly, he sinks the ball. “Boom! I’m out. Yes! That’s how a real basketball player plays!” MTV News will be rolling out previews from “The Diary of Justin Bieber” all week — don’t miss the full show, airing on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET! Nicole Scherzinger Bringing ‘Spirit And Energy’ To ‘Dancing With The Stars’

‘I just want to connect with everyone out there in a completely different way,’ she says of her stint on the popular show. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Larry Carroll Nicole Scherzinger Photo: MTV News When “Dancing With the Stars” kicks off Monday night (March 22), pop star and experienced dancing pro Nicole Scherzinger will be one of the many familiar faces set to take the stage as a competitor on the popular ABC reality show. And while fans are used to seeing Scherzinger shimmy around onstage during Pussycat Dolls concerts, she said she wants fans to see a whole new side of her in the dance competition. “With this show, I feel like people are so used to seeing me in a certain light — they think they know me, but they don’t,” she said. “I just want to connect with everyone out there in a completely different way. I’m gonna have a lot of fun.” To get into a competitive mind-set, she’s using a particular Pussycat Dolls song for inspiration. “It’s, like, a lot of loosening up your buttons,” she joked about how she plans to win. “This show is a completely different style of dance with a completely different style of music, which means a completely different personality, spirit and energy. So I’m excited to share that with everyone.” Scherzinger will hit the dance floor with “DWTS” vet Derek Hough, and she warned: Expect the unexpected. “We’ve got some really interesting things planned. We want to do things differently, our own way,” she explained . “We’ve got some surprises that we’re planning. There’s so much to learn from him, because he’s the best. He’s an amazing choreographer. He’s so innovative.” Related Photos The 2010 Cast Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Justin Bieber Promises My World 2.0 Will Be ‘A Lot Of Fun’

Teen pop star’s sophomore album drops Tuesday. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News & Docs On Tuesday, fans will finally get a chance to get Justin Bieber’s sophomore album, My World 2.0. The teen pop star said he made sure he worked with the best people to get the right sound on the LP. “It’s gonna be a lot of fun, the album,” he told MTV News. “I co-wrote everything on the album, and I got to work with a lot of cool producers. I got to work with The-Dream, I worked with … a lot of cool people, so it was a lot of fun.” His favorite song on the album is “Up,” and he’s also partial to second single “U Smile.” “I worked with [Dan] August [Rigo]. I got him. He’s a really good writer,” Bieber said of his friend and collaborator. “The song is amazing. We really love the song, so we decided to cut it. It’s really amazing.” Ludacris contributed a verse to the album’s first track, “Baby,” and Bieber teased that “Baby” video co-star Drake might appear on the LP. “He’s just one of my good buddies. He’s here to hang out,” Bieber said, adding that if you want to know who else might pop up on the album, “You’ll have to see when it comes out.” The album’s lead single was produced by The-Dream, who raved about working with Bieber. “I wrote the single, ‘Baby,’ that features Ludacris, which is doing very good right now,” he said. Working with Bieber was a bit of a challenge for Luda, who had to enter a different headspace to write his verse. “They sent me the record, and I knew it was an instant smash,” Ludacris recalled. “I sat there and said, ‘Lemme just reminisce on the past and think about things I was thinking about when I was his age,’ and that’s basically how I stepped on the record. I guarantee — you mark my word — that’s gonna be one of the biggest songs of 2010.” While working on 2.0, Luda said he learned that he and Bieber are more alike than he would have imagined. “When I first met Justin, man, I felt like he’s definitely a little shy at first,” the rapper said. “I understand. I’m kind of the same way till I get comfortable with my surroundings, and then it’s just all out, just wild. Oh man, his career is just starting. When I tell you the longevity — he’s out of here.” Are you excited for Bieber’s album? Tell us in the comments! Helicopter And Plane Crash Over Hudson River

Woah: it’s being reported that a small plane and a helicopter have crashed over the Hudson River. NY1 and CNN have the story, we’ll be updating as we get more. The Twitteratti are all over this.

Apparently a small plane and a Liberty Tours helicopter had a mid-air collision. There’s been one reported death, but there are survivors. And the Twitteratti, of course, are reporting this story first. The Atlantic’s Marc Ambinder believes that other than one DOA, everyone else made it:

They’re being transported to the 30th Street helipad. Non-blogger Michael Orell happened to be at Chelsea Piers; this is the second time he’s watched a plane get fished out of the Hudson.

Some guy supposedly posted a picture on Twitter of a tire from the plane that crashed:
While one Twitterer claims to have actually been on a Water Taxi and seen it happen:

One guy notes that they’re fishing people out of the Hudson right now:

The New York Times’ Brian Stelter is crowdsourcing Q & A’s from on-the-scene witnesses. This person, who was thankful to be alive (and having brunch), seems to have a new appreciation for mortality:

Beleaguered Mets fan and Mediaite blogger Anthony “SoupSoup” DeRosa‘s also on the case. He’s picking up reports from an FDNY scanner:

So, basically, that awful Nicolas Cage movie Knowing where the entire world falls apart due to (SPOILER ALERT) solar flares is basically becoming true because everything’s fucking crashing. Avoid going outside, live in fear, wear lots of seatbelts. We’ll be updating here as we get news.
