According to TMZ , the Nigerian brothers, Ola and Abel Osundairo, have now confirmed that the $3,500 check that Jussie wrote to them was indeed for “training and nutrition”. During their self-aggrandizing press conference, Superintendent Eddie Johnson made a big deal of the “fact” that Jussie wrote the check specifically for the staged hate crime. The bros appear to be siding with Jussie on this particular aspect and that leaves a lot of room to speculate about what else CPD has fudged in their 16 count indictment against the Empire actor. So, did the cops blatantly lie? Are the bros now covering for Jussie? Why did they take so long to address this? WHAT THE HELL IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING HERE?!?! Source: Scott Olson / Getty Spokesperson Claims Some Info Leaked To The Press Was “Not Factually Accurate” The always questionable Chicago Police Department is in the hot seat now that they’ve launched an internal investigation surrounding leaks in the Jussie Smollett case. Anthony Guglielmi , a spokesman for the CPD, confirmed with ABC News that the probe was launched last month “during the interrogation of the brothers when information leaked out,” referring to the two Osundairo brothers who investigators claim staged Smollet’s hate crime attack in January. Investigators are trying to determine who anonymously leaked important info about the case to the press. “I will also add that there were several agencies briefed with information during that time and some of the information that went out was not factually accurate,” Guglielmi told ABC News on Thursday. “These types of investigations are fairly common so that we can determine if we have any integrity issues for future cases.” In February, the CPD accused Jussie of staging his attack because he was “dissatisfied with his salary.” He now faces one count of felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report which could carry a three years in prison sentence plus fines.
For some reason, R. Kelly decided it would be a good idea to do a TV interview amid his severe sexual abuse charges. On Tuesday, the singer — who has been accused of partaking in sexual acts with three children older than 13 but younger than 17 — spoke out in his first post-jail interview since turning himself in to Chicago police last month. He opened up to CBS This Morning with Gayle King saying: “They’re going back to the past and they trying to add all of this stuff now to that, to make all of the stuff that’s going on now [feel] real to people. be stupid of him to hold girls against their will. Use your common sense. Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to; love me if you want. But just use your common sense. Kelly added: “How stupid would it be for me with my crazy past and what I’ve been through? I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my f****** life.” The 52-year old was charged in on Feb. 22 with 10 counts of felony aggravated sexual abuse. If convicted, he faces three to seven years in prison for each count. According to CBS-Chicago reporter Brad Edwards, police confirm that they got multiple calls on Sunday from Valencia P. Love saying they had received a bomb threat. Apparently, everyone was evacuated from the South Side facility, however a local bomb squad did not find any explosives. Police are still investigating these threats. Love posted Kelly’s bail last week, telling Chicago reporter Tia Ewing , that she does not believe the singer, who she has only known for a few months, is not a monster. “He’s my friend and I knew he needed help,” she told Ewing. “There are three sides to every story, his side, there’s [the alleged victims], and the truth.” Love confirmed that she had paid the singer’s bond, but wouldn’t disclose where the money came from. “It wasn’t my money. I’m not going to say whose money it is.” As we previously reported , Kelly was released from jail last Monday after being arrested “and charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse involving four victims, three of whom were minors.” The allegations date back to 1998 and span more than a decade. Source: Chicago Tribune / Getty Chicago Is Set To Elect It’s First Black Female Mayor According to CNN , Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle have emerged as the top 2 candidates to move on to a runoff in Chicago’s mayoral race. This simply means the Chi will elect its first black woman mayor in city history. Lightfoot had reportedly won 17.48% of the vote and Preckwinkle had 15.96% with 95% of precincts reporting, according to the Board of Election Commissioners for Chicago. With an April 2nd runoff date, the winner will replace Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who decided against running for re-election this year. Preckwinkle is the Cook County Board president and has made education and a $15 minimum wage focal points of her campaign. The winner will become the second woman and the second African American elected Chicago’s mayor, according to the Chicago Public Library. Jane Byrne was elected in 1979, and Harold Washington was elected in 1983.

Kelly ‘s arrest and subsequent release have made for one of the ugliest and most bizarre plot twists in his already disgusting cannon of strange and stomach-turning stories. Yesterday we reported that a friend of R. Kelly, a woman named Valencia P. Love, posted the $100,000 bail that the singer desperately needed to get out of jail after being charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse. Today, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that a friend of Kelly’s has revealed more details about this dimly-lit broad. According to Robert’s friend Don Russell, Valencia is an R. Kelly Stan fan who only met the singer FIVE MONTHS AGO on a cruise! Love was a fan of Kelly’s music when she met the 52-year-old singer on a cold fall night aboard a Spirit of Chicago cruise on Lake Michigan in September, Russell said. Over the weekend, she called members of Kelly’s inner-circle and told them she wanted to help when she saw he wasn’t able to make bail. “She wanted Rob to have a chance at justice, and she thought he’d have a better chance outside of jail than inside,” Russell said. Apparently, this chick is so thirsty to be close to Robert that after he was released from jail, she held a toast to their friendship. Love called the paper to dispute some of Russell’s claims, but she did admit to paying the bail despite the fact that is prone to be a brokie her damn self. She filed for bankruptcy in 2015, saying she couldn’t pay $2,700 in parking tickets. She told the court she was a teacher at a South Side daycare where she’d worked for seven years. But in 2017, she and her former husband came into a windfall. Each got about $1.1 million in a legal settlement from a wrongful-death lawsuit they filed against the former Children’s Medical Hospital in Chicago, court records show. Kelly found a way to post his $100,000 bail Monday night and we now know who it was that came to his broke a$$ aid. According to DailyMail , the woman’s name is Valencia P. Love and she is the owner of several Chicago restaurants in addition to the Lord And Child Daycare on the south side. Love is a long-time friend of R. Kelly’s. Despite the fact that this woman has made it her business to care for children professionally, she still hopped in a phone booth to tie on a cape to help a man accused of sexually abusing young girls. Chicago’s Fox32 reporter Tia A. Ewing spoke to Valencia to ask why she assisted such a man. Actually, it’s more like a sexual assault tape since the victim was reportedly just 14-year-old at the time the film was made. Reports TMZ : Sources familiar with the case tell TMZ … attorney Michael Avenatti will turn over a 55-minute VHS video Monday to Cook County prosecutors. We’re told the video shows R. Kelly having sex with the same 14-year-old girl depicted in the first video Avenatti obtained, which was shot in 1999. This second video was shot around 2000. We’re told, just like the first video, there are multiple references to the girl being 14 years old. Our sources say R. Kelly is repeatedly “coaching” the girl through various sexual situations. At one point, we’re told R. Kelly is seen choking the girl while having anal intercourse. Our sources also say there’s a part where he takes some sort of lotion and “sprays” it all over her face. We’re told he then chokes her, mounts her from behind and turns her face to camera for a reaction shot. Word is Avenatti is also seeking a third video. Also, he plans to go after R. Kelly’s “enablers” who have allegedly aided him in getting away with supposed abuses for over 20 years. R. Kelly has been indicted and charged with 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse. Jussie has been an important member of our EMPIRE family for the past five years and we care about him deeply. While these allegations are very disturbing, we are placing our trust in the legal system as the process plays out.
