Josh Marks Dies of Suspected Suicide; MasterChef Finalist Was 26

Just a few months after a violent run-in with University of Chicago police, Josh Marks has been found dead. Officials believe he committed suicide. The MasterChef finalist was just 26 years old. Police say they received a call from a woman screaming for help Friday evening. They found a 26-year old male with a gunshot wound to the head. Multiple sources involved with the investigation state that the victim in the Chicago alley is Josh Marks. Officers have also recovered a nearby weapon. It’s a sad and tragic end for this bright talent. Marks was arrested for assault by University of Chicago cops this summer after an incident in which he allegedly punched an officer and tried to grab his gun. Three officers tried to subdue Marks, who was 7’2″, with batons and pepper spray, but he broke free and took off. Five cops brought him down eventually. Once in custody, Marks blamed Gordon Ramsay for his outburst, claiming the celebrity chef possessed him and turned him into a god … seriously. There was no evidence of drug use on his part. In February of this year, Marks released a video for the “Make a Sound Project,” an organization dedicated to helping people struggling with suicidal thoughts. Marks himself suffered from bipolar disorder. R.I.P.

Kanye West on LAX Photographer Beatdown: My Grandfather Was Dying …

Kanye West was oddly friendly and candid with paparazzi today (seriously, it’s not April 1) even explaining why he pummeled a photographer in July. Kanye West Attacks Photographer ‘Ye said that one thing he didn’t get to mention this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live (one of the very, very few things) was the context behind the fight (above). The rapper says the photographer, Daniel Ramos, set him up, was antagonizing him, and it happened just as he learned his grandfather was dying. Whether this excuses that or his other big “hits” is an open question, but at least he wasn’t talking about being from Chicago and issuing any threats. Other highlights from Kanye’s surprising chat ? Saying he’s misunderstood at times (we think). Fearing North West will have to deal with this. Filling up his admittedly SICK Lamborghini. Telling the paps, “We in this together.” Yes, Kanye really made that last comment, which is even more amazing in light of the fact that one of the douchebags was clearly trying to egg him on. No word if/when he’ll revert to … this guy: Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel Live (Part 6)

No Love: Gloria Allred Goes In On Yeezus’ Jimmy Kimmel Interview, Calls Him “Shameful” And A “Disgrace”

Gloria is not here for Kanye’s antics. Gloria Allred Calls Kanye West A “Disgrace” Kanye needs to be careful. Once you have Gloria Allred on your azz….isht gets real. Might have to cough up some of those coins. According to Radar Online Famed Hollywood attorney Gloria Allred has blasted 19-time Grammy Award-winner Kanye West as “shameful” and a “disgrace” after he taunted the paparazzi during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday night. “It’s not safe for you in the zoo,” the boyfriend of reality star Kim Kardashian said, as if to suggest he’ll continue to use physical force against the shutterbugs on the streets on Los Angeles. Allred – the civil rights lawyer — is representing video photographer Danny Ramos, who has sued West alleging assault, battery, negligence and violation of civil rights. Speaking to RadarOnline.com in the wake of the late-night interview, Allred said: “Mr. West made it clear that he thinks that he has the right to attack anyone that antagonizes him by asking him a question that he does not like. He thinks that paparazzi are fair game. “In his televised appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show he sent a message that anyone that crosses him is not safe and that no one should forget that he is from Chicago. “We have a message to you Mr. West in response. You will be held accountable for your actions both in the criminal justice system and in the civil justice system. “Your remarks are shameful and add further insult to the injuries that you inflicted upon my client.” She added: “You say that you bring ‘joy to the world’. I say you disgrace your profession and bring shame to your hometown of Chicago when you make reference to being from Chicago as some sort of threat.” West was captured on video July 19 wrestling Ramos to the ground at Los Angeles International Airport. Earlier this week, during court proceeding in the criminal case, the Los Angeles City Attorney asked the judge to order the singer to attend anger management classes while the case was pending. The motion was denied and the singer’s arraignment was postponed until November 7. Kanye clearly said on Jimmy Kimmel he would phuck the paparazzi up in a second….do you think his behavior is justified? WENN Continue reading

Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel Live: I’m Totally Weird and Honest!

The beef is squashed. But the legend of Kanye West remains. The rapper appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, just a couple weeks after going off on an epic rant against the talk show host. And after Kimmel tried to diffuse the tension via a bit of small talk (asking about West’s  outfit and grill), he actually showed a clip of the skit that started the feud … and then it was all classic Kanye. Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel Live (Part 1) Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel Live (Part 2) As best we can gather, here’s a rundown of the rambling thoughts offered up by Kanye West during a lengthy interview: On being famous : I’m not running for office, I’m just here to make good music, make people feel good…for me, I’m a creative genius and there’s no other way to word it and I know you’re not supposed to say those things about yourself… I’m more of a messenger than a rapper. On his priorities : I could care less about any of these cameras, in all honesty. All I care about is my family. On his personality : I’m totally weird and I’m totally honest and I’m totally inappropriate at times. On Kim Kardashian : There’s no way that Kim Kardashian shouldn’t have a star on the Walk of Fame. Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel Live (Part 3) Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel Live (Part 4) On his Twitter outburst : They were really fun to me as I was writing it… the only reason why I could do that is because we could speak on a similar level and go back and forth… I just thought that this was amazing you know, just crack media…I do everything I can to break media… You shoulda saw the second set of tweets! On problems in the world : It’s not about racism anymore, it’s classism… I refuse to follow those rules that society has set up and the way that they control people with low self esteem. On the paparazzi : I should be respected and such when I walk on the street… Never think I’m not from Chicago for one second… I understand you gotta get your money, and its hard out here… [but] it’s a lack of decency. So there you have it, folks. Jesus Take The Wheel: Man Burns To Death Outside Chicago Nursing Home

So sad . Nursery Home Patient Burns To Death This is a miserable way to die. According to The NY Daily News A wheelchair-bound man caught fire at a Chicago nursing home and rolled around frantically until staffers sprayed him with a fire extinguisher and wheeled him outside. The man, Michael Lewis, was smoking in August 2011 on a patio outside Lake Shore HealthCare and Rehabilitation Centre when the lighter in his breast pocket set his shirt ablaze. A surveillance video, obtained by CBS Chicago, shows other patients trying to put out the flames before Lewis rolls himself inside. Lewis is doused with the extinguisher and a staff member rolls him back out the door onto the patio. There he sits for several minutes until a staff member in blue scrubs comes out with an oxygen tank. EMS crews arrive and perform CPR — 10 minutes after the fire began. He later died. Lewis’ outraged family has filed a lawsuit against Lake Shore. Attorney Michael Carter told the Daily News the facility’s only safety precaution for its designated smoking area was a surveillance camera that no one was watching. “No one did anything until they heard the screams,” Carter said. Even then, chaos reigned. Staffers ran up and down the halls in a panic, Carter said. “It’s like a bad cartoon,” he said. Lewis’ sister, Lisa Couch described her brother’s horrific injuries . “He burned to death,” Couch told CBS. “He sustained burns from mid-thigh up to the eyebrows.” She was stunned to see him flail in pain on the patio without a staff member in sight. “The horror — to think my brother is on fire, and no one is there?” The state cited Lake Shore for failing to properly train staff for emergencies, CBS reported. What’s the use of surveillance cameras if you don’t use them? He suffered burns up to his eyebrows…damn. WBBM-TV

My name is Christine (I’m the one on the far right in blue in top picture) and I met my idol on July 9th, 2013 in Chicago, IL . Ever since I became a Belieber in 2010, I always told myself that one day I would meet Justin and tell him how much he means to me. Every night I would pray that one day, my dream would come true. I always knew that it would but I never thought that it would happen so soon. The way it happened also makes me smile because my friends and I worked for it. Ya see, myself and my 6 other friends competed in the 2012-2013 Schools 4 All competition hosted by Pencils of Promise. We did it in 2011 as well and ended up raising over $13,000 so we were excited to give it another go. We weren’t just participating because of the grand prize of bringing Justin to our school, we were doing it because knowing that other kids and families out there in the world are smiling because of us is the best feeling ever. At the end of the competition, we raised over $21,000 and ended up winning! I still remember the day I found out we won. Knowing that all of our hard work was going to pay off was amazing. Justin also ended up seeing the video of us finding out that we won. He tweeted that he was looking forward to meeting us! That put the biggest smile on my face. My idol was looking forward to meeting me. Still get chills from it all. Time went on and we found out that Justin’s scheduling couldn’t allow him to come to our school and that we were going to be taken up to Chicago for the whole thing to play out. We also found out that Justin was giving us free tickets to his show that night, too! Fast forward to July 9th: I woke up to Never Say Never and realized that today was the day that I was meeting my everything. I got my hair done and what not, had a few anxiety attacks (ya know), and finally was off to Chicago! Once we got up there, Pencils of Promise put on a presentation for us just to say thanks for what we did. We even found out that our fundraising group had the most donations on our site than anyone and that ever since we started raising money for PoP, we’ve raised over $35,000. Since that is over the $25,000 amount to build a whole school, we ended up getting a school dedicated to us in Nicaragua!! I can’t even describe the feeling. After we got done thanking the PoP workers, it was time to go down to the meet and greet. I was shaking so hard at this point, I was surprised I was even able to go down the stairs. Once we all lined up, all there was left to do was wait. While we were waiting, we saw Kenny, Dan, DJ Tay James, and Justin’s dancers. Then our group of 7 had to get split up since only 6 were allowed in at a time so we just went in with our parents but they just didn’t get in the picture, if that makes sense. After our first group of 3 was done, security ushered us 4 in. Then, I see him. My idol was standing right in front of my eyes. The first thing I notice was his smile. It’s so beautiful. We all went in for our picture. It all happened so fast that we don’t even remember seeing the camera. Right after that, security comes up and starts pushing us out (and I legit mean pushing), but I had made a promise to myself that I was not leaving with out hugging him. I got passed like a 9 ft. tall security guard and walked up to Justin. The next thing I knew, I was in his arms. I was holding my whole world. I was getting ready to cry so I heard my voice crack when I said, “I love you so much.” He then replies back in the sweetest, kindest tone, “Awh, thank you, it means a lot. I love you too.” That hug was probably about 2 seconds but it felt like a lifetime. Right after I walked out, I started crying my eyes out. I couldn’t believe what just happened. I finally stopped crying about 10 minutes later and found out that my friends and I were told that Justin was looking forward to talking to us, to tell us thank you for our fundraising, but confusion with security/not knowing who we were couldn’t allow that to happen. However, when one of my friend’s moms was back receiving our concert tickets from Scooter, he told Justin that the tickets were for the Pencils of Promise girls and he signed them just for us! Regardless of what happened that night, I’m still extremely thankful for what I got and that I got to spend the most amazing, memorable day with my best friends. I know that this story was long but I hope that it reminds you that dreams do come true. Also, just a reminder that one day, you will meet Justin. Keep telling yourself that and one day, it’ll happen. I promise. Believe. -Christine              Read the original post: My name is Christine (I’m the one on the far right in blue…
