High-Powered NYC Execs, Including A Fox Producer And A Chipotle Chief, Popped For Slangin’ ‘Caine To Their Peers

NYC Executives Arrested For Selling Drugs Several top-level business bigwigs — including the Chief Creative and Development Officer of Chipotle — have been taken down in a major drug sting in NYC. Apparently in addition to their six and seven-figure paying positions at major banks, television networks, and brands…they were each slinging cocaine to their friends and coworkers on the side as well. Via MailOnline : A Fox producer, a Chipotle executive and an associate at Merrill Lynch are among a group of 18 high-flyers who have been arrested after a massive New York cocaine ring was cracked. Katie Welnhofer, 29, who works on ‘Mornings with Maria’ on Fox Business, and the Mexican fast food chain’s Chief Creative and Development Officer, Mark Crumpacker, have been indicted after the operation. Christopher Dodson, a client associate at Merrill Lynch, and his brother Austin, an associate at real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield, were also arrested. Underwriting consultant Christian Jewett, Marwood Group senior associate Kyle Holmes, tax accountant Roman Yoffe, and Huffington Post blogger Alexander Mallory were among those also indicted. They were all charged with the criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, according to court documents seen by Daily Mail Online. It followed a year-long investigation into a massive drug ring that sold $75,000 worth of cocaine and operated from the Lower East Side. Customers generally paid between $200 and $300 per transaction. Three kingpins Kenny ‘Jay’ Hernandez, Felix Nunez and Oscar Almonte were all arrested. They allegedly used livery services to deliver cocaine to customers throughout Manhattan. The probe is believed to have begun after investment banker Thomas Hughes jumped to his death from his 24th floor luxury apartment in May 2015. Reports suggest police found the number of his dealer on his cell phone when they searched his home. SMH! You just know they probably thought they’d get away with this easily because of their status… Getty/Facebook

Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 2 Recap: Hail to the Chief?

A new Nazi regime got underway on Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 2. Hmmm… perhaps we ought to phrase that differently: Miranda Bailey worked her first day as Chief of Surgery on  Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Episode 2 . There. That’s better. At the outset of the hour, Meredith lured Bailey into what was meant to be a surprise party… only for the Chief to end the festivities before they began by giving a very quick pep talk about how everyone should be out there saving lives. Later on – after Bailey charged her team to come up with a super fast treatment for very tall patient who wanted to bring the Internet to Africa – Callie revealed her former nickname to the interns. In front of Ben. Oops! Meredith then went ahead and referred to Bailey as a “Bond villain.” Once the patient’s deadline arrived, the Amazon women collapsed on top of Wilson, prompting Bailey to to Ben that admit she made a mistake. This led to an actual pep talk from Webber (along with the gift of his old stethoscope). It served to inspire Bailey, who promised everyone she would do better the next day. This caused a slight problem when she wanted to talk to Jackson about their marriage because “the bubble does not travel.” After getting a clean bill of health, April told Jackson they had vowed to be together for “better or worse” and this was the latter and they were gonna fight about it and guess what? She was gonna “win.” In other developments: Amelia really wanted to label her relationship with Owen. Only they couldn’t come up with anything. So they just kept making out. Arizona overheard Callie gushihg over the new woman she was dating and assured her ex that she could tell her about it. Isaac sort of hilariously tried to hit on Jo. Good Riddance: Cop Who Killed Unarmed Christian Taylor Fired From Arlington Police Department

Officer Brad Miller Fired For Christian Taylor Murder The officer who fatally shot unarmed Texas teen Christian Taylor has officially been fired. Arlington police chief Will Johnson told reporters today that rookie cop Brad Miller was off the job for killing Taylor when “no physical contact between them” was made. The New York Times reports: A rookie police officer who shot and killed a Texas college football player inside a car dealership in suburban Dallas was fired on Tuesday, the police said. Chief Will Johnson of the Arlington police said that the officer, Brad Miller, 49, had been fired for the “inappropriate judgment” in the fatal shooting of Christian Taylor, 19. Chief Johnson said Officer Miller had entered the building without his partner, leading to an “an environment of cascading consequences.” Police had said that Mr. Taylor was shot on Friday as he tried to flee from officers who had been dispatched to the Arlington dealership after reports of a suspected burglary. The Tarrant County medical examiner found that Mr. Taylor had gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and abdomen. At a news conference, Chief Johnson said Tuesday that Mr. Miller made bad decisions in communicating with other officers and initially approaching Mr. Taylor on his own without a plan for arrest. There were other officers on scene, the chief told reporters, including Mr. Miller’s training officer, who tried to use a Taser to subdue the suspect. “Based on a preponderance of evidence available to me and facts revealed by the investigative team, I have decided to terminate Officer Miller’s employment with the Arlington Police Department for exercising poor judgment,” Chief Johnson told a news conference. SMH…even Miller’s fellow officer thought it was best to JUST fire his taser. Why did he use deadly force?!?!

Sorry, Not Sorry: St. Louis Rams Slam Reports That They Apologized To St. Louis Police For “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” Gesture

“ Who you finna try ? I bet it ain’t me, ooh b**** it ain’t me, CAPS, CAPS, CAPS, CAPS!” Via USAToday St. Louis County police and the Rams are at odds Monday night over whether a team official apologized for the “hands up-don’t shoot” gesture performed by five players before Sunday’s game. Neither law enforcement officials nor Kevin Demoff, the Rams’ executive vice president and chief operations officer, dispute that Demoff reached out to St. Louis area police officials on Monday, a day after five Rams players made the famous gesture during pregame introductions. The content of those conversations, and the semantics of Demoff’s words, are up for debate. Demoff told the St. Louis Post-Dispatchthat he did not apologize for the players’ actions, but that he “regretted any offense their officers may have taken.” “We do believe it is possible to both support our players’ First Amendment rights and support the efforts of local law enforcement as our community begins to heal,” Demoff told the paper late Monday. In an email to USA TODAY Sports on Monday night, St. Louis County police spokesman Brian Schellman said Chief Jon Belmar “believed it to be an apology.” “[Demoff] further stated ‘I regretted any offense the officer’s may have taken.’ Even though Mr. Demoff stated he never apologized, the Chief believed it to be an apology and the Chief sent the email to police staff to let them know about the call, after he told Mr. Demoff he would share his sentiments with his staff,” Schellman said. Indeed, Belmar followed up that call by writing a memo to his staff. In that memo, obtained by the Post-Dispatch, the chief told officers that Demoff “regretted that any members of the [Rams’] organization would act in a way that minimized the outstanding work that police officers and departments carry out each and every day.” Peep the slick isht the janky azz St. Louis Police posted to their Twitter page: GTFOHWTBS!
