Former MLB Star Owes $275K In Child Support How you go from making $30 MILLION to this?!?!?!?! Via ABC News: Former Major League Baseball star Danny Tartabull is the “Most Wanted” deadbeat dad in Los Angeles after failing to pay more than $275,000 in child support for his two sons, according to the Los Angeles County Child Support Services. Tartabull, who hit 262 home runs over his 14-season career, was charged in January 2011 with failing to pay child support for his sons Zach and Quinten. He pleaded no-contest but failed to meet the terms of his probation. When he failed to show up for his 180-day jail sentence a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to Los Angeles County Child Support Services. The warrant for Tartabull’s arrest has now been out for over a year. His name and photo were added this week to the new wanted poster issued by L.A. County officials. Tartabull earned more than $30 million over his big league career, including signing a five-year $25 million contract with the New York Yankees in 1991. According to the wanted poster, the former star owes almost as much as the other four men on the “Most Wanted” poster combined. Tartabull was born in Puerto Rico and started his pro baseball career in 1984 with the Seattle Mariners. He later joined the Kansas City Royals where he was selected to the All-Star team in 1991. He played for the New York Yankees from 1992-95 and ended his career after the 1997 season playing for the Philadelphia Phillies. Tartabull’s older son Zach was a California high school football star and is now a male model, according to various reports. His younger son Quentin will graduate from a California high school next year, and has verbally committed to University of California as a defensive back, according to California.scout.com. Tartabull faces arrest and more jail time if he’s apprehended. SMH.

Charlie Sheen is serious about paying Brooke Mueller zero child support if at all possible, and is evoking the name of a longtime co-star to boost his case. The actor filed legal documents requesting the massive change in child support – $55,000 to $0 – because Brooke doesn’t even have custody of their boys. While she’s in and out of rehab, Bob and Max are living with Sheen’s other ex-wife, Denise Richards, who’s already getting support from him. In court papers, Charlie references Jon Cryer’s divorce , in which his ex-wife was arrested in ’09 for alleged child abuse and temporarily lost custody. Charlie claims Cryer requested his support payments be reduced from $10,000 per month to zero, and the court granted that request, setting a precedent. Sheen also reveals that he earns more than $740,000 a month (before taxes), more than enough to cover $90,000 a month in expenses on all his homes. Also, Charlie says he foots the bill for ALL the kids’ expenses – therapy, medical, schooling, and more – on top of that $55,000, and will continue to do so. His point? I take care of the kids anyway, and Brooke Mueller clearly isn’t using that $55,000 a month to do so, as she doesn’t care for them anyway. A judge has yet to rule.

I plan to be there. I plan to retire there. I plan to win hopefully a lot more championships there. So that’s where home is.” But as Bosh prepares for tonight’s Game 6 of the NBA Finals, his words could eventually come back to haunt him! In August, Bosh told an Orlando judge trying to determine Bosh’s residency in connection with child support payments to a baby mama that his native Texas, not Florida, would always be his home. Saying he found Bosh to be credible when he told him he always intended to remain a Texan, the judge ruled in December that the ball player shouldn’t legally be considered one of us — never mind that Bosh lives on North Bay Road in Miami Beach. Baby mama Allison Mathis sued Bosh to force him to pay higher Florida child support rates, about $30,000-a-month instead of the $2,600-a-month that a court in Texas told Bosh to pay. Orlando Judge Robert Evans ruled in favor of Bosh — but with the case now in appeals court, Mathis’ lawyer says she’ll use Bosh’s new-found love for Miami to show how Bosh lied to Evans. “Chris Bosh’s testimony in court about his being a Florida resident is exactly opposite of what he recently told the media,” said attorney Jane Carey. “He now says he intends to retire here after playing for the Heat. “You can’t be a resident of Texas and retire in Florida. “Chris Bosh fooled the trial judge, but we believe that the Appellate Court will reverse the lower court decision.” We’re not sure if Chris’ dedication to Miami in an interview is legal grounds for Allison to get more money, but that won’t stop a thirsty broad from trying. They did something strange for a little change… Prom Couple Wears Matching Duct Tape Outfits To Dance Two South Carolina high school students worked wonders with duct tape to create matching outfits for their school prom…..all in the name of money for towards college tuition. via ABC News A prom dress and tux made from duct tape might help pay for two students’ college tuition. Senior Amber Squires and her prom date Kody Britt wore a matching ensemble made entirely of duct tape to Thursday night’s Green Sea Floyd High School prom. The idea started in her 9th grade art class, when Squires’ art teacher Miss Hull mentioned the Stuck at Prom duct tape scholarship contest. The contest awards $5,000 to the best duct tape outfit, factoring in workmanship, originality, accessories and use of color. The school that hosted the prom also gets the same amount. The contest runs from March until June and winners are announced in May. Three years later when her senior year rolled around, Squires remembered the contest while she was out shopping for prom dresses. “I thought ‘Senior year, I’ll remember that forever and it’ll be like no other,’” she told ABC News. Once she had stocked up on supplies, 25 rolls of tape for her outfit and 15 for his – she was ready to start creating. Even her high heels were taped to match.
