Nas And Kelis Spotted Out At Dinner In L.A. Despite their bitter divorce and infamous child support arrangement , Nas and Kelis are trying to keep it cordial for their son. via TMZ Nas & Kelis are desperately trying to bury the hatchet after their famously bitter divorce war — in fact, they’re even trying to forge a FRIENDSHIP — and Nas tells TMZ, it’s all for their son. You’ll recall, Kelis filed for divorce from Nas in April 2009 and the split was nuclear. The two warred non-stop over custody of their son and money. Kelis said when she was 7 months pregnant she was broke yet Nas refused to give her a penny — even for medical expenses. Now, Nas tells TMZ, the two are trying to put the past behind them in order to develop a healthy relationship for the benefit of their 3-year-old son Knight — but they are NOT reuniting romantically. The rapper says they’ve been on good terms for a while now and he hopes it will continue. Nas and Kelis even grabbed dinner last night in L.A. together. Impressive. Good for them.

Ouch…that’s a big difference! Ex-Sacramento Kings Guard Quincy Douby was already paying $1,500 each month . Now she’s asking for $15,000!!! SMH A former NBA player who’s being asked to pay $15,000 a month in child support branded his ex-girlfriend a gold digger Wednesday who wants to imitate the “Basketball Wives” lifestyle. Quincy Douby, 28, a 2006 first-round draft pick who played three seasons with the Sacramento Kings and now stars in China, showed up at Brooklyn Family Court based a legal challenge from his ex, Tanya Raymond. The 28-year-old mother of their 5-year-old daughter, Quinn, claims Douby had been paying for her home, but recently stopped, forcing her to move in with her parents. “I’ve got a father who makes $2 [million] to $3 million a year and left the child destitute,” Raymond’s lawyer Steven Gildin said in court. Douby claimed that he’s been paying $1,500 a month for his daughter’s entire life and has been providing for all her needs. “It’s just about money for her at this point,” he said of Raymond, his high school sweetheart. The couple split before Quinn was born. “All these basketball shows on TV — girls are watching it and they want that kind of life,” the hoops guard claimed. “At this point, she can have the money. It’s a matter of public record: June Shannon , the… eccentric mother of six-year old Alana Thompson (aka “Honey Boo Boo”) was arrested in 2008 on a count related to a child support issue. She also faced a theft charge around that time, but both cases were dismissed. In March, meanwhile, child services looked into the Thompsons after Honey Boo Boo was featured on an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras chugging a mixture of Red Bull and Mountain Dew dubbed by Alana as “Go-Go Juice.” Is that something the family gives its toddler often? No, June tells People : “It was a one time only thing. We don’t do it.” What about when a video surfaced of Honey Boo Boo dancing on a bar, another incident investigated by the the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services? “It was the worst four days of my whole entire life,” June says, explaining that the bar appearance was “a meet-and-greet at a concert” and: “After I left, I realized, ‘I’m not gonna put Alana in that situation again because it was crazy.'” Coming from June Shannon, that’s really saying something.

Tom said: “Yeen gettin’ half of isht over here baby girl!” Tom Cruise’s Prenup Allows Katie Holmes Nothing Except Child Support According to TMZ reports : Katie Holmes walked away with nothing other than rather modest child support in her divorce from Tom Cruise … and we at TMZ have the breakdown. Sources familiar with documents filed with the court tell TMZ … Katie got no lump sum payout, which is consistent with the prenup which essentially shuts her out of Tom’s $250 million fortune. As for spousal support …. Katie got zip. Katie will get money for child support, but it’s way less than a judge could have ordered. According to the settlement, Tom must pay Katie $400,000 a year in child support. That comes to $33,333.33 a month. The money will be paid by electronic transfer. Tom must pay Suri’s support for the next 12 years — until she turns 18. All tolled, that comes to $4.8 million. Tom must also pay Suri’s expenses, including medical, dental, insurance, education, college and extracurricular costs. And … both Tom and Katie agree that Suri will NOT attend a “residential school” from now through her high school years. Translation — she can’t be shipped off to boarding school — Scientology or otherwise. Katie could have gotten more child support under New York law if the case went to trial, but both she and Tom decided to settle quickly. Hollyweird celebs ( Kimmy Cakes and Kris ) take note. Hopefully this won’t be the book cover… Dennis Rodman Writes A Children’s Book Don’t expect Dennis Rodman to look to prepaid cards or payday loans to help pay his massive child support debt …..cause he’ll be writing children’s books and selling them to your kids. Would you let NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman teach life lessons to your kids? The question may soon be answered when the former basketball star releases his own children’s book entitled: Dennis The Wild Bull. Reportedly, Rodman wants to inspire kids by writing about he overcame some of the challenges he faced as a young person. The Huffington Post reports: Dennis Rodman has staked his claim in the literary world before, penning four autobiographical titles, including 2005′s “I Should Be Dead By Now.” But the Hall of Famer’s newest work, “Dennis The Wild Bull,” isn’t the latest account of his raucous life, it may actually be a prequel — written for children, TMZ reports. Details on the children’s book, which is slated to be released later this year, are minimal, but according to a website dedicated to the work, it will “convey good lessons to children based on Dennis’ own experiences as a world class athlete while overcoming obstacles as a child.” Rodman teamed up with author/screenwriter Dustin Warburton and illustrator Dan Monroe to create the book. Tom Cruise Will Not Have To Pay Katie Holmes Alimony According to TMZ reports : Tom Cruise did not pay Katie Holmes a lump sum in his divorce settlement, but he will pay handsomely in the child support department … sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ. Our well-connected sources tell us … reports that Katie scored $50 million are “ridiculous.” We’re told she did not get a lump sum of money at all. As we previously reported, Katie signed a prenup which gave her goose eggs by ending the marriage. And, sources connected with Katie have been telling us from day 1 that she was not after his money. As one source put it, “She has her own money.” We do know, however, that Tom is paying “a lot of money” in the form of child support. Tom will be making regular payments for 12 years. San Diego Padres fan Travis Decker learned the hard way over the weekend that Facebook and baseball don’t always mix. At least not live baseball. He was struck hard by a foul ball in the upper deck of the right field stands at Petco Park while attempting to “check in” to the stadium on his phone. Decker was too busy trying to update the universe that he was at Petco, he failed to pay attention to the exciting action at Petco. To his own detriment.
