When Angelina Jolie did her big Vanity Fair interview, she probably imagined that everyone would devour the quotes about Brad Pitt and the divorce and then move on. Except it hasn’t really turned out that way, has it? Sure, at first we analyzed the hell out of the quotes about Brad , but then we started to notice that there was something a little more scandalous tucked away elsewhere in the interview. Specifically, it seemed like there was a story about Angelina traumatizing some poor Cambodian children to cast her new movie, First They Killed My Father. And when we say the story was tucked away, we mean it — it was basically a short summary of a story she told, without many direct quotes from Angelina herself. According to the story as it was originally published in Vanity Fair, Angelina and the rest of the crew wanted as much authenticity as possible in the movie, so they looked for child actors in orphans and slums. When they’d gotten enough kids gathered, they played a “game” in which “they put money on the table and asked the child to think of something she needed the money for, and then to snatch it away.” “The director would pretend to catch the child, and the child would have to come up with a lie.” The story outraged many, many people — after all, the idea of dangling money in front of poor children just to snatch it away doesn’t sound like the kindest thing that’s ever happened. And when you throw in Angelina’s anecdote about the child they cast as the lead, a girl named Srey Moch, and how she cried and cried about the “game” because she imagined using the money for her grandfather’s funeral … Well, it’s just not great. In a statement released after the backlash began , Angelina insisted that the children were very aware that they were playing a game, and that the money used was obviously fake. “The suggestion that real money was taken from a child during an audition is false and upsetting,” she said. “I would be outraged myself if this had happened.” She said that every precaution was taken to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of the kids on set, and that all the fuss was over nothing — the story was taken out of context. But now, Vanity Fair is backing their original story. According to the magazine, they were contacted by Angelina’s lawyers after the story began circulating, asking them to run a statement about the casting game, both on their site and in next month’s issue. The statement they submitted claimed that the crew “showed the children the camera and sound recording material, explaining to them that they were going to be asked to act out a part.” “The children were not tricked as some have suggested,” the statement continued. “All of the children auditioning were made aware of the fictional aspects of the exercise.” “We apologize for any misunderstanding.” So that’s what Angelina’s lawyers wanted Vanity Fair to release. But what they actually released was the full transcript of that section of the interview. And it’s pretty darn interesting. According to the transcript, Angelina began the story by explaining that they went to “what they call a slum school” to find the lead for the movie. “And I think,” she said, “I mean they didn’t know. We just went in and — you just go in and do some auditions with the kids. I think she had some traumatic experience at a young age, probably from her parents whoring her out to the film industry, that did the opposite of most girls who are traumatized at a young age, you know their period at 7 thanks to traumatic experiences…and this one ended up never getting her period….stunting her growth, delaying her puberty….and keeping her weird looking in her adult years….all big head, little body, on TV for such a long time that people are used to her look, but that probably wouldn’t be into her…if she wasn’t on TV… TV career is like that thing that makes a bitch better than she is, increases the stock price, and the broken, traumatic aspect of her character, makes her more fun to fuck, horny, dirty pig, trained by pervert execs at a young age. It’s nice….but not as nice as seeing her butt for instagram like a low level fame-whore, basic chick. It normalizes her…despite how weird she looks with her child body….a child body that is likely why you pervs are into her. The rumor of reality star and professional celebrity Kim Kardashian expanding her family isn’t just set to become a reality … … it’s set to become a reality in the fairly near future. According to sources cited by Us Weekly, the surrogate hired by Kardashian and Kanye West is already pregnant. Moreover, she’s over three months along, meaning Saint and North will have a sibling as early as this January. We know, right?!? WHOA! The story hasn’t been reported on in several weeks, but Kim and Kanye allegedly agreed in mid-June to hire a woman to carry their third child to term. They did so because Kim badly wants a large family, yet doctors have advised her that getting pregnant again would be dangerous. As a result of her medical condition, she was encouraged not to take the chance. (Kardashian has been diagnosed with placenta accreta.) After consulting with a physician, she seemed to concur. “It would be a really dangerous environment for me if I were to get pregnant again,” Kim said last season on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. As a result, TMZ confirms that Kimye chose to go ahead with their plans to use a surrogate and to pay $45,000 in multiple installments. The arrangement requires the surrogate to agree to certain guidelines (e.g. no drinking or smoking while pregnant). There is also a reported bonus if she were to produce twins, which has actually been rumored by several publications. All in exchange for giving birth to a child that will then be adopted and legally the child of Kim and Kanye West. So who is the Kimye surrogate? The couple has reportedly chosen a San Diego mother in her late 20s, someone who was referred to them by an agency. According to insiders, this girl is someone who has already served as a surrogate on at least one occasion in the past. We don’t yet know if she’s pregnant with a boy or a girl. “I have so many siblings and I love it, they’re my best friends and I would love that for my kids,” Kim told Ellen DeGeneres in 2014. However, two pregnancies plagued by Kim’s potentially life-threatening condition prompted her and Kanye to ponder alternative options. Using a surrogate became a frequent topic of discussion, with both Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian volunteering to serve as hers. No one took those offers seriously (particularly Kris’ for obvious reasons), but it shows how important this is for Kimberly. Now that it’s happening, this is all pretty darn exciting! Not just because it will provide Keeping Up with the Kardashians with a storyline that could easily keep it on the air for another two or three seasons. Getty Images Florida Child Dead With Heroin And Fentanyl In His System A 10-year-old boy in Florida is the latest and one of the youngest to die from our nationwide drug epidemic. The boy, Alton Banks, began vomiting after a trip to the public pool late in June. He was later found unconscious, and though he was rushed to a hospital, he was then pronounced dead. The exact circumstances for the child’s death are still unknown, but preliminary toxicology reports show that he had both heroin and fentanyl in his system–according to Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernández Rundle, this combination is lethal, and has taken many lives across the country. Investigators do not suspect that Banks was exposed to these drugs at home, leading them to question how this tragedy happened. In Florida, 3,228 people died from overdoses in 2015, a nearly 23 percent increase from the previous year. Because the case is still being investigated, Miami-Dade medical examiner’s office could not make any comment.

They may have won each other’s hearts on The Bachelor , but no relationship can escape from entropy — that is to say, Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins broke up . That was a whole thing, but Lauren’s now in a new relationship, and while at first we’d heard that she’d reconnected with an ex, we now know that the man that she’s dating is someone new . … At first, rumor had it that Lauren had gotten together with her ex, Sean Evans. That’s the kind of thing that happens all of the time. Especially shortly after a breakup, when you might be feeling vulnerable and uncertain and want a familiar face. (So long as the breakup with said old flame was amicable, anyway) But that’s not the case, as Lauren Bushnell is dating a guy named Devin Antin . And while some reports say that these two have dated before, Devin is — at the very least — “new” to the public. Thanks to Twitter, we at least know what Devin looks like — a handsome guy, to be sure. This image was reportedly taken in 2015, before The Bachelor , which does seem to suggest that Lauren and Devin have dated before. We suspect that now that people know, Lauren might speak about it publicly and tell us a little more. Because the world could use some clarification. And it sounds like, after Lauren’s split with Ben Higgins back in May, it wasn’t long before she and Devin became an item. “They have been dating for a while now.” We also know that Lauren knows or has at least met his family. “She was at a Golden State game with his sisters.” Awww, that’s sweet! Lauren and Ben had a real connection on The Bachelor , but their relationship ended up fizzling, step by step. One major factor in their breakup was filming Happily Ever After together, where they couldn’t honestly communicate with each other because of the presence of the cameras. Though the sex remained great , Lauren started to feel isolated when they moved to a city where she didn’t know anyone. Another factor, however, was when she learned that Ben Higgins had told JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell that he loved them . Both of them. Separately. She learned, it’s said, when that episode aired, and felt embarrassed and a little confused. We wonder if Ben Higgins is wishing that he’d gone with JoJo Fletcher, you know? Actually, do you guys remember that brief period when some of us were hopeful that The Bachelor would have a polyamorous twist? It was when Ben confessed that to both of them. We wondered if he was just going to try to propose to both of them. We didn’t dare to hope, really. (And also, for a polyamorous relationship to work, everybody needs to be on board from the get-go) But it would have been cool. Maybe it’ll happen with a different thruple in a future season. But now Lauren and Ben are no more, so … all of that drama built up to what ended up being a very short relationship. Sometimes, that’s life. As for Devin Antin, there are still things that are uncertain or just entirely unknown. But he has a great name and he’s handsome, so that’s two points in his favor. For the first several months of her pregnancy, Kailyn Lowry wouldn’t reveal the identity of her baby daddy . Eventually, we learned that it was a fellow Delaware State University student named Chris Lopez who got Kailyn pregnant , but the man remains shrouded in mystery. As it turns out, that’s just how Lopez prefers it. In a new preview for the show’s upcoming season premiere, we get to see Kailyn open up about Lopez for the first time on camera. It turns out, she’s not loving his behavior as of late, and her friends aren’t fans either. When a friend of Kailyn’s describes Lopez as a “player,” Lowry reveals that he’s not appearing on Teen Mom 2 because he fears it might interfere with his other relationships. “He doesn’t want to be on the show,” Lowry says Lopez in the clip. “He doesn’t want his name on the show.” When the friend asks if it’s because he’s camera shy, Kailyn clarifies: “He doesn’t want his other hoes to know about me!” And Kailyn wasn’t done complaining about Lopez, who apparently will play very little part in the life of his child with Kailyn. When Lowry’s first baby daddy, Jo Rivera, asks about the situation with Chris, Kailyn responds: “It’s such a not solid situation I don’t want to discuss any of it on TV.” Needless to say, we don’t think you’ll be hearing a whole lot about Mr. Lopez this season. Sources close to the situation say Lopez broke up with Lowry after a brief fling last year. She reportedly thought the relationship was serious and was stunned by his reaction to her pregnancy. Lopez has apparently agreed to assist with the finances, but wants no part in the child’s life. And now it seems his commitment to the single life is such that he doesn’t want MTV (and the sizable paychecks it’s no doubt offering) cramping his style. Obviously, Chris doesn’t exactly sound like a stand-up guy, but you almost have to admire that level of commitment to the player lifestyle.
