According to reports from TMZ , the Desperate Housewives actress was sentenced to only 14 days in prison on Friday in a Boston federal courtroom. “I am deeply sorry to the students, parents, colleges and universities impacted by my actions,” she said during the hearing. “I have inflicted more damage (on her daughter) than I could’ve ever imagined. I was frightened, I was stupid and I was so wrong. I am deeply ashamed of what I have done.” This sentencing comes about a week after news that prosecutors recommended a month behind bars, arguing that house arrest at a luxurious pad is far from being a punishment. The actress’ legal team was pushing for no prison time after Huffman admitted to paying a proctor $15,000 to inflate her daughter’s SAT scores. The 56-year-old will begin her sentence on October 25 and in addition to the prison time, she was fined $30,000, received a year of supervised release, and has been ordered to complete 250 hours of community service. Though the high-profile actress receiving any jail time is relatively shocking, 14 days is nothing compared to sentences for those like Tanya McDowell , the black mother serving 12 years for sending her child to school in a better district. Are we surprised? No. Are we disappointed? Absolutely.

And who knows what their status will be when Raiven gives birth. Raiven also spoke to People about the surprise. “We’re still in an early stage,” Raiven revealed. “But,” she noted. “We’ve talked a lot about how to make this work and prioritize the baby.” Raiven expresses optimism: “We know the strength of our friendship and support of our families will allow us to raise a happy child.” While she is looking forward to the future, she is already feeling the full force of the pregnancy. “Pregnancy is no joke!” Raiven reminds the world. “I’m not sleeping much,” she laments. “And I’m pretty sick but still feeling very blessed.” Raiven says that she and Bear are eager to learn what sorts of genitals their baby will have “as soon as we can.” But Raiven would still “be thrilled with a boy or girl.” Raiven also made the announcement on Instagram. “Quickly after deciding friendship was best for us!” Raiven begins. “We found out we had a little surprise coming our way.” “After a quick engagement,” she reminds followers. “Because we felt that was the right thing to do.” “We talked about things,” Raiven shares. “And ultimately decided being co parents was best for us as well as our baby.” “We are super excited,” she expresses. “And surprised to announce this especially due to current events.” “We are excited to coparent as friends,” Raiven writes. “And,” she adds, to “do our best to be the best we can be.” “We can’t wait to find out the gender!” she notes. “Being in the earlier stages means a lot of sick and sleepless nights.” “Thats okay,” Raiven concludes, suddenly speaking to her unborn child. “Because you are for sure worth it!” Some would consider this a very early time to announce a pregnancy. She was on location in New York City with her daughter, Sophia, telling fans how much they were enjoying (yes, enjoying ) the trip and then, well… she mixed up the date of the attacks with the name of a well-known convenience store chain. “Okay, so we wanted to do, since it’s gonna be September 11, in honor of the Freedom Towers, and observatory deck and everything, of 7-Eleven, we are going to do this. Wow, look at this guys,” says Farrah into the camera down below. She didn’t realize her error at the time and just kept on talking in a VERY excited manner about the whole 9/11 memorial experience. “I think this is gorgeous, beautiful, and in memory of a lot of loved ones, a lot of others lost,” she says in the following video, adding: “I remember being in fifth grade when September 11 attacks happened, Sophia was not born yet, so I think it’s really important that Sophia learns about it, and here we go.” A sweet sentiment at its core, no doubt. Due to David Eason’s violent, disgusting actions, Jenelle and her husband lost custody of their children for about two months this spring and summer. But now little Kaiser and Ensley (along with 11-year old Maryssa) are back in the reality star’s custody — and it’s like nothing ever totally awful and disturving ever happened. At least in the eyes of Jenelle and David. Speaking to Us Weekly at the Jenelle Evans JE Cosmetics Launch on Monday, Evans addressed the temporary loss of her son and daughter, telling the tabloid: “It’s been very great because it’s really keeping us humble. “[It’s] been having us focus on just staying at home, focusing on making them happy, making sure that’s a No. 1 priority.” A very nice sentiment, we’d all agree. But will Evans and Eason really put these kids first? Truly raise them in a calm and safe environment for a change? Yes, Jenelle vows. “We want to make them happy,” Evans continued in this same interview , adding of her controversial makeup line: “In the background, I have a big support team that’s out here working for me behind the scenes, and a lot of people don’t see that. Yes, she might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again. “If you give the dog up for adoption, one day it’s going to be around children again. “If you call the authorities at that point, the law says the dog has to be euthanized. After the frightening allegation of child abuse made public last week, fans hope that Jamie Spears will lose his convservatorship over Britney . But even as it looks like his tyrranical rule will come to an end, another complication has come up in the battle for Britney’s freedom. Just days before the court hears vital testimony, the doctor in charge of Britney’s care abruptly died. Dr. Timothy Benson was the psychiatrist responsible for Britney Spears’ long-term mental health care. On August 24, Benson passed away in Santa Monica. There has been no official release of the cause of death. But TMZ reports that, according to various sources, Benson died of an an aneurysm. The psychiatrist was 48 years old. So, within the next week or so, a court-appointed evaluator will deliver some important testimony. This is after spending three months burying themselves in all of the details of Britney’s life, care, health, and conservatorship. The evaluator’s task was determining whether Britney’s healthcare was appropriate. (Or, rather, to present evidence and an expert opinion to the court so that the judge can make that determination) Obviously, Dr. Benson was extremely relevant to this topic before his extremely sudden passing last month. Raising questions about Britney’s medical care isn’t just some cheap tactic for discrediting Jamie Spears. Last spring, even Lynne expresed concerns, and filed with the court to remain in the loop on Britney’s health and treatments. Before that, Britney’s mom had never publicly expressed much interest in her daughter’s psychiatric care or conservatorship. Now, it doesn’t sound like she trusts Jamie to always act in Britney’s interests. She has even openly discussed what some would call conspiracy theories about the conservatorship manipulating Britney’s social media. The good news right now is that Jamie Spears will not be holding Britney’s leash for long. He has filed with the court to be relieved of conservatorship, passing down the reigns to Britney’s case manager, Jodi Montgomery. This move is temporary, for now, but has to do with the conservator being ultimately responsible for Britney’s children. You can’t responsibly look after Sean Preston and Jayden James if you’re not allowed near them. And Jamie is not permitted near them because he is under police investigation for allegedly assaulting Sean Preston. Child abusers should not be conservators, particularly when that means managing their alleged victims. Jodi is expected to remain in the conservatorship position until January, but it’s possible that Jamie will never regain that position. (Fingers crossed, folks!) One major factor will be the conclusions that the evaluator has drawn. (Not to speak ill of the dead, but Dr. Benson’s qualifications to treat Britney when he normally helps professional athletes … some people had questions) Another major factor will be the results of the criminal investigation into Jamie. Of course, given that the US justice system is genuinely not designed to protect children, the evaluator is more likely to have an impact. The #FreeBritney has been growing louder this year, arguing that her conservatorship has gone on longer than it should have. It’s not clear what “serious psychological problems” she may have that allegedly require a lifetime of micromanagement. Countless adults have psychiatric ailments and manage their own medications and behavior just fine. A lot of hopes from fans are riding on what the evaluator may have to say about what Britney really needs and whether she’s getting it. Source: Delaware Police Dept. / Mugshot Daycare Worker Arrested For Suffocating 4-Month-Old Baby Tragedy has struck a family in Delaware after a Daycare worker was seen allegedly suffocating a child to death on video. 19-year-old Dejoynay Ferguson “placed her hands over the victim’s mouth and nose and intentionally restricted her breathing until she became unresponsive,” Delaware State Police said in a statement Friday. According to Delaware Online , the death occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning and there is a surveillance video of the incident. While wearing latex gloves, Ferguson picks up the 4-month-old child by the front of her shirt and place the baby on a changing table, according to court documents. The young woman could then be seen putting her hands on the child’s face for more than three minutes. After she removed her hands, the child was “unresponsive and motionless”. She then took the child and placed her in a crib, police said. 20 minutes after the child became unresponsive, a call to police was made by the daycare owner. Initially, the worker told police that she “grabbed” the child because they became fussy, which was not seen on the video. Dejoynay Ferguson was charged with first-degree murder this week.

But it seems that despite admirable confessions about her substance abuse issues and eating disorders, the singer hasn’t always been completely honest with her fans — and she’s trying to correct that now. Back in May, Demi posted some bikini pics from her vacation to Bora Bora. But it seems those photos didn’t tell the whole story. Last night, in one of her most candid Instagram posts to date, Lovato revealed that the images had been retouched. She then revealed an unedited pic from the same vacation along with a lengthy caption describing her mindset: “This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!!” Demi wrote. “I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. Practices such as ” blanket training ” and other forms of systematic abuse have led to calls for boycotts and even demands for a full CPS investigation in the past. But the Duggars have refused to shy away or even issue a public apology, which isn't surprising – and now it looks like these lessons are being handed down. According to a report from In Touch Weekly , it looks as though the torch is being passed from one generation to the next, in disturbing fashion. Are Jim Bob and Michelle's grown children now practicing the same techniques that were used to quite literally whip them into shape in their own youth? Understandably, fans are terrified that this continued behavior and methodology may eventually result in someone paying the ultimate price. 1. The Originators Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have strict views on child-rearing and family hierarchies that were formed in part by their involvement with the unfortunately-named Bill Gothard’s Institute for Basic Life Principles. 2. The Fallen Idol Those who follow Gothard may now that he got what was coming to him. He is now a disgraced former minister who was drummed out his own organization after being accused of abuse and sexual assault by dozens of employees. 3. The Stubborn Ones Despite the scandal, and attempts to distance themselves from him from an image standpoint, Jim Bob and Michelle have remained true to Gothard’s teachings, including two beliefs that have attracted a considerable amount of criticism in recent years. 4. Full Quivers Gothard is the originator of the Quiverfull Movement, which holds and practices the belief that women are put on this planet for the sole purpose of birthing as many children as possible. 5. A Dangerous Proposition This isn’t a vaguely-defined “the bigger family, the better” sort of deal. According to Gothard’s teachings, women are to continue having children until they literally cannot bear any more of them. That means they are expected to conceive well into middle-age, regardless of threats to their health or the health of their offspring. 6. Casting Pearls Before Swine It was also Gothard who directed Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to the controversial teachings of self-proclaimed child-rearing experts Debi and Michael Pearl.
