9-Month-Old Boy Charged With Attempted Murder via Fox News A nine-month-old Pakistani boy sat on his father’s lap, sucking on a bottle during a court appearance where he and at least 30 others were charged with attempted murder. Little Muhammad Mosa Khan was also charged with threatening police and interfering in state affairs at a Pakistan court Thursday. Khan and others in the group were booked following a police raid to catch suspected gas thieves in the city of Lahore, The Times of India reported. Police say the suspects tried to kill security officers by throwing stones at them. But Khan’s father, Ahmed—who is also accused– says the crowd was protesting an electricity shortage. Ahmed claims police created a fake case against him, his son and others in the group and urged authorities to drop the charges. “Our crime is that we had protested against non-availability of electricity in our locality,” Ahmed said. Judge Rafaqat Ali first directed police to record the child’s statement, then when he realized his age, granted him bail and adjourned the case until April 12. The judge could not dismiss the case as it’s not under his jurisdiction. Senior Superintendent of Police Rana Jabbar said there was a misunderstanding that led police to book the minor in the case. The assistant superintendent who filed the charges against the infant has been suspended. As crazy as things get over in Pakistan at times, we’re surprised that this was actually a mistake. So sad. Boy Mauled To Death By Pit Bulls Why do people allow a child to be around vicious pit bulls? According to Mississippi News Now: A three-year-old Holmes County child is dead, after a pit bull attack. It happened in the community of Thornton which is south of Tchula. The boy has been identified as Christopher Malone. Our news crew was the first to arrive on the scene when this happened just after 4:00p.m. Monday. Family members say the dogs were secured in a dog pen behind the home but some how broke out and attacked Malone. “The dog just jumped him and took him down and drugged him in the back and killed him, ate him up,” said Lucy Mayze, an aunt of the victim. Sheriff deputies say Malone’s mother tried to save him, “The children were outside playing and she missed her child and when she went around to look for him that’s when she saw the dogs on him and she went up there to try to get the dogs off her child and she ended up getting bit too,” said Captain Sam Chambers with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Department. Malone’s mother was treated at Lexington hospital. The death is still under investigation. If the pit bulls were better contained, this tragedy could have been prevented. Hope you aren’t eating … Florida Mother Arrested For Her Children’s Deplorable Living Conditions Via OrlandoSentinel Authorities described the scene as “horrific” — a foul-smelling home filled with ankle-deep garbage and animal waste where five children lived with their mother. The scene was so bad that one of the children asked Orlando police and a child-protection worker to take him to a foster home and said he wanted a new family. The boy had broken, rotting teeth and said he could not chew without pain. All of the children were “unkempt” and obviously had not bathed recently, officers wrote. They ate cold food out of cans and were “parenting themselves,” according to the report. “The severe medical and overall neglect was horrendous,” officers wrote. The children were removed from the Orlando home and their mother, Yolander Lasane, was arrested Tuesday after child-protection workers contacted police. The garbage, which had to be shoveled out before workers could go inside, filled a large city trash can, according to an arrest report. “It was evident that no part of this residence had been properly cleaned or maintained in years,” officers wrote in the report. Lasane, 45, was being held Wednesday at the Orange County Jail on five counts of child neglect causing great bodily harm. Her children are 5, 9, 12, 15 and 17. Another child is grown and lives elsewhere. Just reading the list of things that police found in this house is enough to make your stomach turn… On Monday, police and investigators from the Florida Department of Children and Families found animal feces all over the floor, doors and walls. There was black mold, rotting food, filth and garbage in the kitchen and an insect-filled bathroom with a broken toilet, sink and tub, the report states. The front doorknob was hanging down and couldn’t be locked. Animal-control workers removed pets that had been neglected and were suffering, the report shows. In three of the children’s bedrooms, the floors were strewn with dirty clothes and trash, the lights and air conditioning did not work and the mattresses were “crawling with various bugs,” according to the report. As these 25 Tweets summarize to perfectly, life as a parent can be challenging at times. Difficult, even. But at other times it can be totally rewarding and hilarious, even when your toddler is screaming in pain. Such is the case in the following video, which features a very brave young lady named Francesca trying to distract herself from a splinter removal by singing “Do You Want to Build A Snowman” from Frozen . The adorable/melodramatic performance made its way over the Internet to Kristen Bell, who reacted on Twitter by writing: “Francesa- I’ll build a snowman with you!!!
