Terry Bradshaw Apologizes For Racist Comment Against Reggie Bush Terry Bradshaw offered up a apology yesterday for a controversial comment he made regarding Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush during their game Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Via EOnline : The 64-year-old Bradshaw was addressing fellow NFL studio analyst Jimmy Johnson as the two were watching a clip of Bush running for a touchdown when he said, “Look at this, Jimmy—like he was chasing that bucket of chicken the wind was blowing the other day.” Realizing his mistake, the former footballer now tells USA Today the quip was never directed at Bush but was meant for Johnson in that he meant to say “you” instead of “he.” Pronoun trouble aside, given the racial connotations attached to the remark and the fact that Reggie is African-American, Bradshaw acknowledged his screwup. “[I am] so sorry if I hurt anybody and I’m shocked I’m in this position,” he told the paper. The brash commentator said the quip was actually part of a running joke he’d been having with Johnson, noting Jimmy’s “big thing is chicken, Kentucky Fried Chicken. He won’t share it with anybody.” But Terry said he botched the delivery, which was exacerbated by the fast-paced nature of covering the highlights, not that that’s an excuse. “I can’t defend myself. I’ve never been in a situation like this. I don’t know how to react, except to apologize for something I didn’t know I said. I’ve been upset today. It’s not me. I’m shocked,” he admitted. Both Fox and Johnson stood by that explanation, stating the ex-quarterback’s joke was solely meant for his colleague. Flag on the play! Terry Bradshaw is a complete and utter buffoon. We love how easy people refer to such statements as misspoken. You don’t misspeak if it’s not in you. It just means you were in an environment where you forgot to censor what you say.
Ohio Woman Breaks Into House, Cleans And Leaves Bill Behind An Ohio woman who suddenly got the urge to clean someone else’s home uninvited was recently charged with attempted burglary. The woman broke into the home, cleaned it and then left a bill behind for the family. via ABC News A family in Westlake, Ohio, was not delighted when a “cleaning fairy” came into their home uninvited, did some chores and left a $75 bill behind on a napkin. The Chronicle-Telegram said that Susan Warren, 53, drove by the home last May 22 and “wanted something to do.” She entered the home in the early morning hours, washed coffee cups, took out the trash, vacuumed and dusted, all while the homeowners’ 19-year old daughter slept upstairs, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. Last week, Warren pleaded guilty to one count of attempted burglary in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Her sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 26. Neither Warren nor her attorney could be reached for comment. “She left a note for the homeowner on a napkin, stating that she had cleaned the residence and left a bill for $75,” Maria Russo, a spokeswoman for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, said in a statement. Warren, of Elyria, Ohio, left her name, address and phone number on the napkin. Nothing was stolen from the house, the Prosecutor’s Office said. Uhhhhhhhh…. Chris Brown Covers Prestige Magazine Chris Breezy recently sat down with the folks at Prestige Magazine to speak on his love of art and his Symphonic Love Foundation. Here is some of what he had to say: Via Presitge Hong Kong What do you want the world to know about who you are and what you stand for? As a 23-year-old young entertainer, I want the world to see my art and hopefully be inspired by it, promote positivity with what I do now – with painting, with fashion, with directing, with creativity as far as videos and cinema. I want to have people admire that and hopefully have people follow in my footsteps. What are you having the most fun at right now? Honestly, my day-to-day life is the most fun right now because I get a chance to not focus on “the artist” Chris Brown. Going through the regular things, like going to the grocery store. I’m also running a label right now, so I have different artists, four or five different acts, shooting videos that I’m directing and coming together. Tell me about your painting. I’ve been painting secretly since I was a kid. A lot of people didn’t know that it was my hobby. I focused on doing the bad stuff at first with graffiti and vandalising as a kid. But as you get older, you start studying art books and sketchbooks in the libraries. I started getting better, like maybe three or four years ago. I met Ron English and Kid Zoom [Ian Strange] and they were just teaching me different techniques for painting. So my art started growing and I started doing it on my own. I finally got people to recognise it and I did a couple of art galleries – one in LA and one in New York – and I sold four out of my seven paintings. You know, I’m new. But my feet are in the water and that’s all it takes. I don’t think I want to conquer painting. It’s just something I love to do. Acting is something else you do well. Was that something you discovered later in life? Acting is just something that comes natural. I used to look in the mirror all the time, make funny faces, trying get my face right. Looking at Jim Carrey, looking at a lot of different movies. The key is that you pick up what you see all the time. That’s kind of where I got my Michael Jackson inspiration, my charisma. I did a couple of acting lessons, but when it comes down to it, I learned more from the actors on set, their energy and timing. Breezy also took a minute to talk about the kids: What’s Symphonic Love all about? Symphonic Love does programmes in schools, like with my school back home. Musical programmes and helping kids with disabilities. I do a lot of stuff with Best Buddies that coexists with that. The name comes from a tattoo that I’ve got [runs hand across his chest] – something that’s over my heart right now. So my heart is where it’s at. The tattoo “symphonic love” encompasses the positivity of what I’m trying to do – uplifting humanity. Is there something that fans would be surprised to learn about you? Just how involved I am with everything. I think a lot of people, a lot of artists, they get the glamour and glitz and everything else is already set for them. You see it and you say, “Oh man, it’s perfect.” But everything is already written. For me, it’s all just straight from thin air. I hear a song [claps his hands] – that’s my concept. When you hear my records, it’s really me writing. It’s really my emotions. It’s really me behind the cameras, directing those videos. It’s me making the decision on what singles we put out. Being the CEO. A real businessman at 23. That’s what I want to show my audience. The generation that we’re in – we’re a lazy generation. The kids in my generation are not as hyper. The work ethic isn’t there. The attention span is short. But I think if they can see me do it at 23 and have all this stuff going on – and still have fun while I’m doing it – who’s to say they can’t? There’s new information regarding the heartbreaking story of two young children who were stabbed to death by their nanny. According to RadarOnline reports : We’ve got new details for you in the case of Yoselyn Ortega, the Manhattan nanny accused of violently killing 6-year-old Lucia Krim and her 2-year-old brother Leo last week. The NY Post reported that the parents of the murdered children, Marina and Kevin Krim, had given the 50-year-old an ultimatum to do better at her job, or they’d find someone else. “She was told that if she didn’t improve her work, she would be let go,” an insider said, adding those close to the situation reported that the nanny was having mental and financial issues and looked unhealthy in the month prior to the double-murder. Police said Ortega told some she was planning on seeking psychological help, though it’s unclear if she did. “There was friction between her and the family,” police told The NY Post, adding the nanny was also enraged at the prospects of adding an extra five hours housework to her job duties for extra payment. “They were asking her to clean, to do housework. She was unhappy about that,” police sources told the paper, adding Ortega said the extra time would have cut into her doctor’s schedule. “She said something like, ‘I’m paid to watch the children, not clean up and do housework,’” the source told the paper of the nanny’s statements in the wake of the double murder. This doesn’t excuse what happened, but still it’s a far cry from the portrait the dad’s mother painted of her, saying the nanny was treated like gold.
