We caught up with Evelyn in NYC yesterday where she said paring down the guest list and deciding who sits near who has been the toughest part of the planning process. Evelyn said she’s only inviting some of her “Basketball Wives” co-stars (we’re told Jennifer Williams won’t be invited), but she did extend an invite to Tom and Gisele. Msnbc.com put that question to a few theologians and religion experts, and the answer is … decidedly hazy. Robertson, the outspoken Christian evangelist and host of “The 700 Club,” made national headlines this week when he told The New York Times that pot should be decriminalized and treated like alcohol because the government’s war on drugs has failed miserably and is costing taxpayers billions of dollars. “I’ve never used marijuana and I don’t intend to, but it’s just one of those things that I think: this war on drugs just hasn’t succeeded,” he told the newspaper. Scholars disagree on whether the Bible lays down the law on use of mind-altering drugs such as marijuana, also known as cannabis. “It’s not so simple that you can just go to the Scriptures and say, ‘Hey, that (passage) says marijuana should be illegal,’ or ‘that says marijuana should be legal.’ There is no such passage,” says Father Thomas Reese, S.J., senior fellow at Woodstock Theological Center at Georgetown University. Some pro-pot Christians refer to Genesis 1:29 and interpret it to mean God does not frown on ingesting plants such as marijuana: And God said, Behold, I have given you every plant bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, which has seed in its fruit; to you it shall be for food. According to USWeekly reports : Kris isn’t the only Humphries putting his height to good use. His sister Kaela Humphries has signed a contract with Ford Models, the agency confirms to Us Weekly. “We are thrilled to have…Kaela,” her Ford rep said in a statement. “We think she will make a great addition to the team.” Prior to signing with Ford, Humphries, 29, was represented by Wilhemina Models in Los Angeles. The entire Ford+ team (Ford’s plus-size division), shared their enthusiasm about having the gorgeous Minnesota native on board in a separate statement. “[We’re] excited at the prospect of bringing this beautiful, engaging young woman to markets worldwide,” the agency declared. “A true size 16-18, Kaela will be in a league of her own.” Humphries may look familiar to Keeping up with the Kardashians fans, who got to see her on-screen in the midst of Kim and Kris’ courtship. Many of you may wake up in the morning and tune in to the local news, or music videos, but for those of you who tune into ESPN First Take, you are very familiar with Jemele Hill. She can be seen on several of ESPN’s top shows in addition to First Take like Jim Rome Is Burning , Outside The Lines , and was the first woman to appear on Around The Horn in 2009. Please don’t confuse Miss Hill with being just another pretty face used to fill a quota, she knows EXACTLY what she’s talking about and would probably embarrass most men when it comes to her sports acumen. According to TMZ reports : Pilar Sanders wants to have a little sit-down with Deion’s alleged mistresses — to PROVE he was an unfaithful husband — but according to Pilar, Deion is trying thwart her efforts … by attempting to bribe one of his jumpoffs to keep quiet. Pilar has filed a motion in court — obtained by TMZ — demanding sanctions against Deion in their ongoing divorce proceedings, claiming the former NFL star has been tampering with witnesses … in this case, a 20-year-old model Deion allegedly slept with last summer named Aleea Stanton. According to Pilar, Deion attempted to bribe Aleea to keep her mouth shut about their tryst — so now, Pilar wants the court to punish him for his unsavory tactics. Pilar also claims Deion orchestrated that infamous standoff between her and Deion’s aunt Laura last month — to steal an audio recording device that contained damning evidence against the NFL star. As a result, Pilar is also asking the court for sanctions against Deion for intentional destruction of evidence and corruption. In addition to the sanctions, Pilar filed documents requesting to take depositions of several other people — including another alleged mistress by the name of Tracey Edmonds, coincidentally an ex of Eddie Murphy. Tracey tells TMZ, “I am shocked to learn that Pilar Sanders is trying to drag me and my employees through her pre-nuptual dispute. I cannot understand why she continues to create public issues out of her private life issues and feel very sorry for their children.” DAAAAAMN! Deion was knocking-off Tracey too?!?!
