By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway DJ Khaled, Rick Ross and Drake in the video for “Take It To The Head” Photo: MTV News Blockbuster songs deserve blockbuster video treatments, and DJ Khaled made sure his new single, “Take It to the Head,” had a big visual to match. When your track features Lil Wayne , Chris Brown , Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross, there isn’t much choice. “I told [director] Colin [Tilley] when I called him, ‘We gotta video, we gotta do the best video, we gotta win awards, and you gotta really take it there because we got nothin’ but megastars on one record,” DJ Khaled told MTV News’ Sway Calloway from the Universal Studios set where he shot the video at the end of April. Last summer, Khaled hosted “I’m on One,” an inescapable rap jam that partnered Lil Wayne, Drake and Rick Ross for the first time. It seemed that the #1 Billboard rap single would be hard to top, but with Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown on “Take it to the Head,” the Cash Money DJ is making a serious run for hip-hop’s 2012 summer anthem. The stakes are high, and the video, which premieres Sunday on MTV Jams, is equally as huge. The video set is reminiscent of the 1974 disaster film “Earthquake,” where most of Los Angeles is destroyed by a quake that registers 9.9 on the Richter scale. “Colin Tilley is an amazing director, so he had this amazing idea where he wanted fire behind us, trains broken, ground shaking,” Khaled described. “We’re giving you new stuff.” Related Artists DJ Khaled Rick Ross Drake

Now that Jessica Simpson has given birth to a 9-pound, 13-oz. baby daughter, Maxwell Drew, her other new baby has her undivided attention: A new $4 million deal with Weight Watchers . “As soon as Jessica heals from the C-section, she is extremely determined to work out,” a confidant says. “She wants to show the world and is excited to do it.” And is contractually obligated to do it. Since announcing that she and her fiance Eric Johnson were expecting their first child, Jessica has been under scrutiny over her pregnancy weight gain. The 5-foot-3 star, who admitted weighing 175 pounds when she posed nude and pregnant for the April issue of Elle, needs to do a serious slim-down. A source familiar with the Weight Watchers negotiations says the stakes are high, as she’s got to lose at least 50 pounds. LITERALLY no pain, no gain. “She’ll have to meet the weight-loss goals for the deal to go through,” says the source, adding that the new mom will be under a lot of pressure. “She hasn’t chosen a trainer yet. Nicki Minaj’s music video for her latest hit single “Right By My Side” premiered last night, featuring Chris Brown on vocals and Nas in the romance department. The Benny Boom-directed video features Nicki as a ’round-the-way kinda girl who finds love with a regular guy (Nas). Fairy tale romance at its finest, people. Chris woos the outrageous rapper-singer during his guest appearance, and they even dance suggestively together, but it looks like he loses out to bad boy Nas. Nas manages to win her over by gifting her an expensive sports car, though her expression at the end of the song makes you wonder if she made a mistake: Nicki Minaj – Right By My Side Music Video (ft. Kanye West wants to marry Kim Kardashian … in rap lyrics at least. Casper Smart , J. Lo’s man, is reportedly ALL about the singer. Britney Spears will join The X Factor for a record $15 million. Looks like Octomom’s adult film career is off to a flying start. Jaclyn Swedberg might have a leg up on her though. Chris Brown – Theraflu (Freestyle Remix) Is Chris Brown’s “Theraflu” remix (above) a slap at ex-girlfriend Rihanna? Are Rihanna’s Twitpics getting wilder and indicating she may be crashing? Time Magazine’s breastfeeding cover raised both eyebrows and debate. Kate Middleton’s “racy” dress during an evening event turned heads. Contrary to reports, Suge Knight was not arrested for murdering Tupac . Aubrey O’Day is not a slut, swears Aubrey O’Day . Justin Bieber – Boyfriend (Live on The Voice) Justin Bieber performed “Boyfriend” live on the finale of The Voice (above). Jermaine Paul was the Season 2 winner of the NBC singing competition.
