Things aren’t looking too good for Breezy … Chris Brown Faces Four Years In Prison For Violating Probation A D.C. Superior Court judge Monday denied a request by Chris Brown ’s attorneys to dismiss the R&B singer’s misdemeanor assault case, but ruled the entertainer and his bodyguard can have separate trials. Via Washington Post reports: The 24-year-old Grammy winner and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, 35, were each charged with one count of misdemeanor assault after an October altercation with a fan outside the W Hotel in downtown Washington. Brown’s attorneys have said he is innocent and that he and Hollosy were trying to protect Brown and his property. Neither Brown nor Hollosy was in court Monday. Brown, according to a spokesman at the U.S. Marshals Service, was expected to arrive in Washington late Monday. Brown is in marshalls’ custody after a District judge ordered him extradited to Washington last week. Upon Brown’s arrival, a marshals service spokesman said the entertainer will be held in a Washington-area jail until his trial. Brown is in custody after a California judge ordered him locked up for allegedly making threats about using guns while in an anger-management rehabilitation center last month. He had been ordered to the inpatient facility as part of his plea deal in connection with his 2009 conviction for assaulting his then-girlfriend, pop star Rihanna. He was scheduled to remain in the jail until April 23. Both men face a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. But if Brown is convicted, he also faces as much as additional four years in jail in California as a result of violating the terms of his probation in the Rihanna case, his attorney, Mark J. Geragos said. On Monday, attorneys for Brown and Hollosy argued the case should be dismissed because they said prosecutors violated their clients’ rights when prosecutors had a witness to the incident testify before a grand jury. The judge wasn’t hearing it and could be pretty hard on Breezy because of his past violations.
Chris Brown is in jail at the moment, but just because he’s locked up doesn’t mean the hot-tempered singer can’t create drama on the outside. Two of Chris’ exes nearly had a run-in last at a Hollywood nightclub. Karrueche Tran (who may or may not still be dating Brown) narrowly avoided confrontation when she and her friends bolted from the club upon learning that Rihanna had arrived with her entourage. Reportedly, Rihanna is dating Drake so it seems unlikely that she’s still so hung up on Chris that she would start beef with Karrueche. Even, so RiRi’s temper is alomost as notorious as Chris’, so Tran and company may have done the right thing by playing it safe. Besides, maybe Tran wasn’t afraid of a physical confrontation and just wanted to avoid partying with her ex’s ex. Even semi-celebrities like Karrueche probably hate awkward situations like that. While a cat fight between Rihanna and Karrueche would’ve been hugely entertaining, we’re glad they’re just avoiding each other like grownups. If they started clawing each other’s eyes out, it would only be yet another boost to Breezy’s already enormous ego. Brown and his bodyguard are scheduled to stand trial for assault on April 17. Isht just keeps getting worse for Breezy. Chris Brown Could Face Felony Prosecution For D.C. Brawl Chris, now’s the time to get your legal weight up. According to TMZ: Chris Brown is en route — a long route — to Washington D.C. … and when Con Air finally lands he could face the possibility of PRISON for the alleged D.C. assault. Prosecutors just filed legal docs — obtained by TMZ — in which they say the reason they’ve taken the case to the grand jury is because they believe they have the evidence to support a felony prosecution. Chris is currently charged with misdemeanor assault. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, has filed legal docs asking that the case be dismissed on grounds prosecutors misused the grand jury system by simply trying to get a dry run of the trial. But prosecutors are now firing back … saying the injuries were serious enough to require hospitalization on the part of the alleged victim, and that could justify a felony if they get more evidence. According to Hollywood Life: Though no one expects prison time to be a breeze, Chris Brown is hitting some unexpected issues during his jail stay. A source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Chris has quickly become the center of ridicule — some inmates have yelled at Chris and called him derogatory names like ”b***h,” specifically for putting his hands on Rihanna. The 24-year-old rapper is currently serving time in Mens Central jail in Los Angeles for violating his probation and he’s now understanding just how hard life is behind bars. And while the singer has publicly apologized for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, some inmates think he has yet to pay the price for his unmanly actions. “One inmate said in passing ‘you a b***h for hitting Rihanna,’” Chris is doing his best not to listen to the banter, however, it does make him “extremely upset” when he hears such sentiments. On top of all that, Breezy isn’t getting any respect in jail. He gets no street cred in his orange jump suit and some fellow inmates think he’s a wannabe rapper, the source also says. “They be saying other stuff too, like ‘you ain’t no rapper, you’re a whack R&B singer,’” the source continues. “They’re in there trying to break him down.” Iyanla nor Dr. Phil can help him. Chris Brown’s new music video for “Loyal” was released today, even with the singer currently in solitary confinement and unable to watch it … bummer man. The video, featuring Lil Wayne and Tyga with a cameo from Usher, is all about … loyalty. It shows Breezy singing the refrain, “These hoes ain’t loyal.” “I don’t f–k with broke b!tches,” he adds, presumably because them hoes be hangin’ around just lookin’ to get wit him for his money. He has said that X will be his last album, but we doubt this. Unless he’s sent away to prison for years (which actually isn’t out of the realm of possibility), Brown is likely to make more music, if only to pay legal bills. Chris Brown was jailed last week after getting kicked out of rehab and violating probation as a result, and remains in custody until his April assault trial. His lawyer is said to be working on a deal to pay off the accuser and get the case dropped, thus getting Chris’ probation reinstated and the star released. Until that happens, which could be any moment or not at all, he’ll remain in solitary confinement, feeling like a caged animal and hating jail so hard.
