Sometimes, when a loved one passes, in their place they leave the gift of new life. Eva Mendes experienced this in May, when she suffered the loss of her older brother, Carlos , then gave birth to her second child , a girl just days later. “Losing my brother brought our family closer, and we were already close to begin with,” Mendes told the September issue of Latina . “So to just see everybody be there for one another and show up, I feel so lucky to have them.” View Slideshow: 17 Celebrity Moms Who Kept Their Babies a Secret They were right next to the actress for significant moment, when she had daughter Amada (dad is Mendes’ partner, Ryan Gosling). “We had a funeral service for [Carlos] and that same week I had the baby. So it was really, really intense and obviously beyond heartbreaking, but also kind of beautiful.” Understandably, Mendes isn’t at the point where she’s let such an extreme high and an extreme low sink in. “Being totally honest, I don’t feel like I’ve really processed that yet.” Mendes, 42 and Gosling are already parents to Esmerelda, 22 months. The couple selected the name Amanda for the newborn after Mendes’ grandmother. “It was an emotional time with the passing of my brother,” Mendes recalled. “We thought how beautiful to go with what made us emotional and with what felt like her. When we looked at her, we thought, ‘Aww, Amadita.’” Though she will star in 2017’s Fast 8, Mendes is putting the focus on motherhood at the moment. “Right now it’s really about surviving those nights and trying to enjoy this time as much as possible with them, and start the bond between Esmeralda and Amada.” Mendes realizes how lucky she is to be selective when it comes to work. “Right now I feel very fortunate to be home with my kids. I feel so lucky, and I’m just taking advantage of that,” she said. Eva Mendes on Ellen: All About Baby!
Chris Harrison hilariously tell us at the end of every season of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette that this is going to be epic. We're about to see the most shocking, most dramatic, emotional finale ever, he tells us. But which finales truly stand out most? Sometimes, it's the season finale with a surprising winner. Sometimes, it's a little extra drama or an epic meltdown. And sometimes (cough, Brad) there's no proposal at all. Well, we've decided to take a look back and rank the 17 most shocking finales from both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette . Where do we place last night's The Bachelorette season finale , in which JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers got engaged ? Which was the most insane in BACHELOR HISTORY? Check them out and see if you remember these – we're sure you do, if you're reading this – and if you agree with our rankings! 17. The Bachelorette Season 8: Emily Maynard Emily wanted to be considerate of Arie’s feelings on the finale of The Bachelorette Season 8, so once her mind was made up about Jef, she sent Arie home before they made it to the rose ceremony. 16. The Bachelor Season 4: Bob Guiney It’s kind of amazing how often a finale on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette ends without a proposal. In Bob Guiney’s case, he offered a promise ring to his chosen lady instead. They broke up a few months later. 15. The Bachelorette Season 6: Ali Fedotowsky Ali gave use a suprise at the end of The Bachelorette Season 6 when she sent Chris Lambton home early, incredibly confident in choosing Roberto. 14. The Bachelorette Season 12: JoJo Fletcher While there were final rose ceremony tears and a bit of drama – Robby Hayes really thought he had it in the bag, while Jordan Rodgers held back, initially, when it came to asking JoJo Fletcher’s parents for permission to propose to her – the Dallas beauty ultimately went with her heart, and the frontrunner all season (Jordan). 13. The Bachelor Season 9: Prince Lorenzo Borghese This one didn’t end in a proposal either. At the end of his season, Prince Lorenzo Borghese chose Jennifer Wilson, but rather than giving her an engagement ring, he gave her a family ring and asked if they could keep dating. 12. The Bachelor Season 14: Jake Pavelka Jake shocked fans on his season finale when he chose the season’s villain, Vienna Girardi, over fan-favorite Tenley Molzahn. View Slideshow

Josh Taekman has been outed. The husband of Real Housewives of New York star Kristen Taekman was forced to admit Monday night that he had an account with Ashley Madison, the infamous – and now infamously compromised – website that helps spouses cheat on their significant others. Taekman told People via statement, addressing his role in the scandal: “I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family.” “We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives.” As fans who watch The Real Housewives of New York online know, Kristen and Josh have had marital issues ever since first appearing on Bravo. They engaged in so many fights, in fact, and viewers grew so uncomfortable by the spats, that producers decided to stop showing Josh on the series. Earlier this month, a bunch of hackers broke into Ashley Madison and released the identity of over 30 million users looking for a cheating partner. It was revealed last week that 19 Kids & Counting star Josh Duggar , YouTube vlogger Sam Rader and a Louisiana GOP official also had accounts. Who will be next? Who won’t be next? Stay tuned … View Slideshow: 20 Really Big Real Housewives Scandals
We told you first at THG. Now The Bachelor himself is finally announcing it: Ben Higgins will be doling out the roses this coming winter on ABC. Ben, the third-place finisher from Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Bachelorette season, joined Chris Harrison for the Bachelor in Paradise after-show last night. There, the handsome software salesman confirmed he will carry the franchise torch next, one of the worst-kept Bachelor spoilers in modern times. Higgins won over America (and producers) in his quest to woo Bristowe this season despite coming up short behind Shawn Booth and Nick Viall. Or, perhaps simply because he is neither Shawn Booth or Nick Viall. Prior to the announcement, producers considered having both Ben Higgins and Ben Zorn, another suitor from Bristowe’s season, be The Bachelor. Proposed title … The Bachelor: All About The Benjamins . Clever stuff. Ultimately, though, no one remembers who Ben Zorn is, and the dual Bachelorette twist of Kaitlyn and Britt Nilsson was beyond useless. So they went and made Ben Higgins The Bachelor 2016 . He’s not the most buzzworthy pick, but maybe that’s a good thing after recent years. Plus, Ben has the stamp of approval from Kaitlyn, for sure. “I say to everybody. Every girl. Every man. Every dog. Everyone out there will agree with me right now that Ben H. is the man,” Bristowe said. Do you agree with Kait? Sound off below! View Slideshow: 13 Hottest Bachelors in ABC History
After the stunning events of last week, the drama picked up with a vengeance once more on Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 Episode 7 Sunday. Heading into the rose ceremony, Tanner’s rose went to Jade Roper, while Kirk’s went to Carly, Joshua’s to Tenley, and Jared gave his to Ashley I. It came down to JJ and his choice of Megan, with whom he’d gone on a nice date, and Juelia, third wheel of Joe Bailey and Samantha Steffen . Or … his third option, Ashley Salter. She got the rose! Then to further play the hero, JJ peaced out of the show to pursue a girl back home instead. With JJ out, Juelia’s last home was Dan … who chose Amber, sending Juelia and Clare home in the process. Juelia cried … right into Mikey’s arms. Those two had flirted before, but when Juelia gave her rose to Joe, Mikey was sent packing – regrettably, in light of Joe being the worst person ever . If you watch Bachelor in Paradise online , you know there are no hard rules, though, and Juelia asked Chris Harrison if Mikey could come back. He did! Dan said, “They wouldn’t let him get on a plane, he made a pitch to come back and be with Juelia, and he’s here to beat the s–t out of Joe.” Would he do just that? We’ll find out, but first, Jade and Tanner decide to “officially” be boyfriend and girlfriend, and Nick Peterson showed up. Nick, who famously screwed over Rachel Trueheart to win Bachelor Pad , asked Samantha on a date, and was quickly rejected … to Nick’s chagrin. “I’m shocked, especially because she told me she’d say yes,” he said, implying that they talked on social media before the show. Sound familiar? Out of options, Nick asked out Ashley S., and with their plans to spend the day on a private island nixed due to weather, they headed to a hotel. For some spa treatments … and tequila. “I was drunk the whole day,” said Nick later in a confessional. “By the time night came around, I was just obliterated. Just hammered drunk.” The romantic future for this couple is a bit up in the air, but man, they made for entertaining TV. The same could be said for Ashley I., as usual. “She has much stronger feelings for me than I have for her,” admitted Jared, with whom she is obsessed, ending things before it escalated further. As for Joe, the Villian of Paradise? He apologized to the group for his behavior with Juelia, while Samantha wanted in silence … giving him the cold shoulder and later dumping him! It’s not clear what changed between them, but as Samantha told the group her big decision, Joe sat down with Joshua and plotted his revenge. “I’m thinking, ‘Bitch, you told me to do whatever it took to get a rose to advance until you got here,'” he said, taking way too much pleasure in this. “I think it’s time to put some stuff straight. Clear the air. There’s no way she’s going to get around this subject, I’m going to have cold hard facts.” “There’s 700 text messages we had in a month. As soon as she starts to hear I have my phone and I’m getting text messages, she’ll squirm.” “Samantha is the reason why I’m in the position that I’m in and being f–ked over by everyone in the house. I’m going to be like, ‘Got you, bitch!'” Game on tonight? View Slideshow: Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 Cast Photos
The Bachelor franchise’s impressive streak of failed relationships continues! TMZ is reporting that Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray have called it quits less than six months after the couple got engaged on The Bachelorette Season 10 finale . “After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we decided that it’s best for both of us to go our separate ways,” reads a statement from their reps. Concluded The Bachelorette’s golden couple, “We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this what’s best for both of us individually.” Rumors of an Andi and Josh breakup have been circulating for months, but the duo remained firm in its insistence that all was well and a wedding was on the way. We don’t know when exactly they decided to call it quits, but we do know that Andi and Josh were talking wedding plans as recently as Monday. At a party to celebrate The Bachelor Season 19 premiere , host Chris Harrison asked Josh and Andi when they planned to walk down the aisle. They stated that they hadn’t chosen a date yet, but indicated the ceremony was still being planned. Both were all smiles, with no indication that anything was amiss. So were they putting us on Monday or was this the split a sudden decision? We may never know, but we’re guessing that these two things are true: Josh is envious of the newly in-demand ladies’ man Chris Soules. Nick Viall is shouting “I told you so” to everyone in Milwaukee. Will Chris, who finished third behind Nick and Josh in the quest for Andi’s heart, find a happier ending than the woman who turned him down last year? Who knows, but we can only hope he and his fiancee make it at least 7-8 months to surpass Dorfman and Murray. Here’s a look at them in happier times … Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray: A Bachelorette Romance 1. Josh and Andi Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray on The Bachelorette. They are a great-looking duo.
THG loves The Bachelor. There. We said it. We have no shame over this fact. Some folks out there aren’t always so open about their affection, however, rarely going above a whisper when discussing Chris Harrison, dates on a helicopter and THE MOST DRAMATIC ROSE CEREMONY EVER. But don’t count the following celebrities among that group. These stars definitely watched Andi Dorfman choose Josh Murray on The Bachelorette last night and they’ll totally happy to talk all about it. Flip through these photos and you’ll learn that they already have many times in the past: 17 Celebrities Who Love The Bachelor 1. John Mayer Said the singer to Ellen DeGeneres in 2012: “I don’t even feel like it’s my fault for liking it. It’s not a guilty pleasure. It’s designed to be a pleasure.
Between an awkward live ultrasound, a stage-crashing Canadian and a rehashing of this summer’s racism scandal, The Bachelorette: Men Tell All episode had it all. The quasi-reunion show featured so many twists that one of the most dramatic segments was buried in the show’s credits and almost overlooked. The Bachelorette Clip – The Note Usually, the credit roll slot features some quality bloopers from that week. Fun stuff, to be sure, but nothing impactful. Not the case at all last night. Instead, we saw host Chris Harrison enter Andi Dorfman’s dressing room (or sitting area, or something) to present her with note from one of her final two. His tone was serious, as was the look on Dorfman’s face. It’s hard to glean much from the brief clip, but this didn’t look like the glowing Andi we saw last night, but rather a conflicted, emotionally drained Andi. “Between you and I, you should read it,” Chris said, handing a folded-up piece of notebook paper to Bachelorette Andi, who looked on with grave concern. You don’t need The Bachelorette spoilers to tell you that this didn’t necessarily take place during the Men Tell All special, despite it being packaged that way. Andi’s wearing a different dress than she did on Monday’s show. In fact, it looks a lot like the one she’s wearing in the new season finale promo (below). This would imply the note was delivered before the proposal … The Bachelorette Season 10 Finale Sneak Preview The timeline is the real key here. Is it possible that the Andi-Chris note exchange did take place before or after an outfit change at the Men Tell All special? Obviously, but it’s not a given is our point. With all the rumors swirling around the finale, namely the runner-up still pining for Andi and/or the winner cheating on Andi , the note is all the more interesting. So what’s in it? Here are some theories: Assuming this was presented after the finale, the Season 10 runner-up is begging Andi to pull a Jason Mesnick and change her mind. Assuming the note was given to her prior to her final decision, it could the end of Nick’s book, a fairy tale which he notably left blank. Or, rather than an illustration of Prince Nick getting down on one knee, perhaps Josh is reassuring her for the 20th time that he loves her. It’s something regarding the lie detector test results, which would be beyond lame but not out of the question for the show in question. The most likely scenario, given The Bachelorette spoilers we’ve read, seems like #1 … though the dress and the timeline skew make it far from clear. And the Winner is?
