Chris Medina, a 26-year-old barista from Chicago, has been with his girlfriend Juliana for eight years and they#39;ve been engaged for two years. On Oct. 2, 2009, Juliana was in a car accident, which Medina says caused “everything to change.” Julie suffered a traumatic brain injury. Gabriel Aubry Panics Over Paternity

Last summer, Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry showed the world how to break up in a mature, classy manner . But might things now be turning ugly? The Canadian model made a surprise legal move this week, filing documents in Los Angeles Superior Court that ask a judge to officially declare him the father of the couple’s two-year old girl, Nahla. It may be the first step in a prolonged custody battle between the exes. Prior to this move, Berry and Aubry had agreed to level the legal system out of their arrangements with Nahla. For her sake, let’s hope everything remains civil. And let’s pray Kim Kardashian never gets her hands on that adorable tyke.

Chris Medina: An American Idol Sob Story

With American Idol kicking off a new season this week, we’ve already met Jackie Wilson , a rumored top 40 contestant. Now, we’ve been introduced to Chris Medina, another aspiring singer with one of the saddest stories in show history. The judges met this 27-year old during auditions in Milwaukee. He was accompanied there by his fiancee, Juliana Ramos. As viewers will discover, Medina proposed to Ramos two years ago, only for her to be involved in a major car accident in October 2009. The tragedy left her with brain damage, nearly paralyzed. Chris Medina and Fiancee This video was shot approximately one year into Juliana’s recovery. Sources tell TMZ that Steven Tyler was especially moved by this story. Who could not be? The same insiders say Medina advances to at least the final 40 on season 10. A website has been set up to help pay for her medical bills.
