Chrissy Teigen Stops By The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Chrissy Teigen’s second cookbook, Cravings 2: Hungry For More , was just recently released–so for the occasion, it’s only right the model and Lip Sync Battle star stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about the book. While on Friday’s episode, she responds to the revelation that everyone has been mispronouncing her name her whole career, explains what’s behind her meme-ready reaction shots at awards shows (including this past weekend’s Emmy’s), and shares a burger from a recipe in her debut cookbook, Cravings .
One of the world’s favorite celebrity couples, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, graced the 2018 Emmy Awards with their delightful presence. Unfortunately, one troll who isn’t aware of how Chrissy deals with shamers decided to try to body-shame her, asking if she’s pregnant. Chrissy took to Twitter to remind the world that she’s the queen of clapback. While the rest of us were groaning about who was robbed at the 2018 Emmy Awards , one alleged “fan” was concerned about Chrissy Teigen’s appearance. “I’m asking this with the utmost respectful,” the tweet began, featuring a minor typo. The tweet continues, asking a very impertinent question: “but is @chrissyteigen pregnant again?” Oh wow. Pro-tip, folks: there are very few respectful ways to ask if someone is pregnant if all that you have to go on is a glimpse of them in a dress. Chrissy, even the queen of Twitter and wholly unafraid to clap back, quoted the tweet with some words of her own. “I just had a baby,” her retort begins. Chrissy continues: “but thank you for being soooo respectful.” She and John Legend welcomed baby #2 back in May. Miles Theodore Stephens is just four months old. Contrary to what some fitness bloggers and certain celebrities might make people believe, four months is not really a lot of time to recover from childbirth. That wasn’t the harshest or most epic clapback that we’ve seen, but it was with a purpose. Chrissy’s response was proportionate. She has spoken about her post-baby body in the past, even giving fans a glimpse of her stretch marks over the summer. Chrissy, who previously worked as a model (though she laughs when people describe her that way now), discussed how social media can give people skewed ideas about the human body. “Instagram is crazy,” she admited. “I think it’s awesome people have killer bodies and are proud to show them off (I really do!!)” She continued: “but I know how hard it can be to forget what (for lack of a better word) regular ol’ bodies look like when everyone looks bonkers amazing.” First of all, it’s great that she said bonkers because that word does not get used often enough. Second of all, Chrissy still had more to say. In another tweet, she wrote: “Also I don’t really call this ‘body confidence’ because I’m not quite there yet.” “I’m still super insecure,” Chrissy admitted. She concluded: “I’m just happy that I can make anyone else out there feel better about themselves!” Chrissy is also not afraid to poke fun at herself, as she recently admitted on Twitter that she mispronounces her own last name. When a fan pointed out that people say it incorrectly, Chrissy tweeted “word! gave up a long time ago. last name is tie-gen not tee-gen.” Chrissy then went on to acknowledge that she herself will pronounce her own name “tee-gen.” Chrissy tweeted: “I even correct people when they say it correctly. it’s all v effed up.” She then lampooned herself for not being assertive about her name or anything else, writing: “Wrong order? The great mystery of the 21st century has finally been solved. We know who did it. We know who bit Beyonce. For the past several days, social media has been stopped in its tracks as users across the country analyzed one section of an interview Tiffany Haddish gave to GQ. In the cover story, the popular comedian and actress told a story about how she was at a party late last year when an unnamed female celebrity went up to Beyonce and took a small chunk out of her chin. Maybe not a chunk , per se, but teeth most definitely met flesh, according to Haddish. “There was this actress there, that’s just, like, doing the mostest,” Haddish said, implying in her own way that this woman was wasted, prior to adding: “She bit Beyonce in the face.” Wait… what?!? Elaborated Haddish, much to the delight of readers everywhere: “So Beyonce stormed away, went up to Jay-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This b-tch—’ and snatched him. They went to the back of the room. “I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyoncé’s friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this bitch just bit Beyonce?” Once Haddish got confirmation that Bey that the bite really did take place, she was prepared to throw the eff down. “I was like, ‘She gonna get her ass beat tonight,'” explained the Girls Trip star, adding: “She was like, ‘Tiffany, no. Don’t do that. That bitch is on drugs. She not even drunk. The bitch is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill.’” Haddish refused to identity the biter, however. Chrissy Teigen went on Twitter and claimed to know who it was… but also remained mum. However, Page Six claims to have solved the conundrum. It was Sanaa Lathan, reports that newspaper column. Multiple sources tell The New York Post that the Love & Basketball star had been chatting with Jay-Z at a D’Usse VIP party backstage after his gig in Los Angeles last December. When Beyonce stepped in, Lathan playfully bit her on the chin. That’s apparently the whole story. “It was a big thing in the moment at the party, everyone was talking about how anyone would dare to do that,” a witness from the event told Page Six. Well, yeah. Who the heck would bite Beyonce?!? Not me, Lathan claimed via Twitter on Tuesday. “Y’all are funny,” she wrote at the time. “Under no circumstance did I bite Beyoncé and if I did it would be a love bite.” We’re pretty sure that second comment canceled out the first. And we’re pretty sure it was an admission by Lathan, too. She has not yet commented on this Page Six report, but she can expect to hear plenty from the Beyhive tonight, tomorrow and, let’s face it, for the rest of her life. When Tiffany Haddish shared a juicy story about an actress that was “on drugs” trying to bite Bey’s face, Sanaa somehow became the target of suspicion. They Beyhive descended on Sanaa’s Instagram to sting mentions into swiss cheese. According to B. Scott , it got about as nasty as Beyhive swarms usually get. It’s not entirely clear how or why Sanaa was named as the possible nibbler. It seems like a fairly random claim to make, but she was at the party where someone supposedly tried to turn Bey into a snack. This article from Vulture could have something to do with it, though. One of its writers broke down a list of possible suspects. Rihanna, Queen Latifah, and Sara Foster were also at the bash. However, Rihanna and Latifah were cleared of any suspicion because friends usually don’t bite each other. Vulture’s social media snooping also placed Sanaa well within in Beyoncé’s orbit that night. Sanaa didn’t seem the least bit bothered by the hate, and she made a brief statement to swat the Beyhive away. Y’all are funny.
