Let’s be real, there are a lot of things we can criticize the Duggars for. Like, so very, very many things. There’s the whole Josh Duggar scandal — well, the two Josh Duggar scandals, the child molestation and the adultery. Three scandals if you count the porn addiction! Then there’s that whole thing where the family likes to have as many children as humanly possible, regardless of their ability to care for them or the mother’s ability to carry them. There have been plenty of rumors about the Duggars’ religion and the way the religion teaches them to discipline their children — lots of horror stories there. But while this wild and crazy family definitely deserves some of the hate they receive, it’s important to understand that not every single thing every single Duggar does is worthy of such hate. Like that photo the family shared of Jessa Duggar’s oldest son, Spurgeon, drinking from two bottles last month? Yeah, it wasn’t really a huge deal. Spurgeon was 21 months old at the time — his second birthday is in November! — and sure, most doctors recommend that toddlers transition to sippy cups around their first birthday. Bottles aren’t great for those cute little baby teeth for a number of reasons, it’s true. But not every kid is automatically ready to give up the bottle at the same time, and that’s OK. As a parent, you just do what you have to do, you know? You follow your instincts and do what you feel is right for your child. And it seems like that’s what Jessa has been doing for her two precious boys . But, and this goes back to our earlier point, the Duggars just can’t do anything right for some people. And those people made sure to inform Jessa of her terrible ways in the comment section for that photo. “Uh, he’s a little old for a bottle,” one person told her, while another advised that it’s “time to take them away, sweetie.” One particularly outraged person wrote “There’s nothing you can say make think this ok. Lazy parents let their child over Yr have bottle. This just bad.” Lots of anger for one cute photo, right? But now, Jessa is finally responding to all that outrage. And we can’t help but applaud her. She shared that cute photo of Spurgeon with another bottle (just one this time though), and asked “How’s this for a little ‘SeeThroughSaturday!” “That’s my boy!” she continued. “Yes, he’s 22 months old. Yes, he drinks water from a sippy cup, and yes, he still prefers to drink much of his milk/kefir from his bottle — especially before nap/bedtime.” “TBH,” she admitted, “I wish she wouldn’t have weaned himself early, and would’ve bf till 2. There, I said it.” In conclusion, she told her followers that “If you are experiencing anxiety over this, please share all your wisdom and perfect parenting advice in the comments section below.” So much sass! According to that tragic new report from In Touch, Chrissy and John “are having real marriage problems.” So many problems, in fact, that “They have been in marriage counseling for the last six months.” Their alleged issues include Chrissy’s admitted drinking problem , as well as her struggle with postpartum depression. Because if we’re to believe this report, John is willing to end their marriage and tear their family apart because of issues Chrissy developed after carrying and giving birth to their child. See why we called this mess “tragic”? “They are fighting nonstop,” the report continued. But, on the bright side, “They’re trying very hard to make their marriage work.” The whole thing is very depressing, and while we wouldn’t imagine it to be true, we wouldn’t have imagined many celebrity splits that have happened this year. Chris Pratt and Anna Faris? Fergie and Josh Duhamel? It’s a bad time to be a long-lasting celeb couple. However, before you get too upset, know that Chrissy has addressed this rumor not once, but twice. And both statements are, in typical Chrissy Teigen fashion , simply delightful. First, she shared a photo of the In Touch cover on Instagram — the cover that advertised an “exclusive” about “Chrissy & John: On the Brink of Splitting.” “Oh in touch go f-ck yourselves, you exclusively dumb pieces of trash,” she wrote in the caption. Then yesterday, paparazzi got video of Chrissy and little Luna leaving LAX, and they managed to get a few colorful comments out of her. First, a photographer told her that if she and John did ever split, he’d “lose all faith in love.” In response, she laughed and said “We’re not even close!” He asked her why people are writing things about their split then, if they’re so happily married, and she said “Well, In Touch is f-ckin’ stupid.” She also said that she has “no idea” where they get their stories from, but maybe “They’re bored. No news. Slow news day.” Chrissy, gem that she is, then revealed the secret to successful Hollywood relationships: “I think enjoying yourself, having fun, realizing it’s all bullsh-t.” Oh, girl. Chrissy Teigen is absolutely delightful, just a real and true gem. One of the things that we love about her — and let’s be real, there’s a long, long list — is her honesty. Girl does not hold back about anything, and it’s always wonderful to see. And earlier this week at a promotional event, Chrissy really let some home truths fly. See, she’s doing a new makeup palette in collaboration with Becca Cosmetics, and at a launch party for the product on Thursday night, she told reporters that she’d had plastic surgery. Extensive plastic surgery, even. One of the things she claimed to have done, odd as it may seem, is liposuction on her armpits. “I had an armpit sucked out, which was one of the best things,” she said. “It’s a big secret, but I don’t care.” “It was nine years ago or so,” she continued. “And it added two inches to my arms. Now it’s back though, so now I gotta pay for [liposuction] again.” She said that it was “so easy,” and that “It made me feel better in strapless dresses, and I felt more confident.” “It was the dumbest, stupidest thing I’ve ever done. The dumbest, but I like it, whatever. I have no regrets, honestly.” It sounds weird when you first think about it — liposuction in the armpit, that is — but it sort of makes sense, doesn’t it? And if it makes her feel more confident, then more power to that armpit fat removal! But the liposuction wasn’t the only cosmetic procedure Chrissy admitted to — she also said “Everything else is fake, but my cheeks are real.” “Women are like, ‘those fake-ass cheeks,’ and I’m like, No! This is my real face!” She even pointed at her nose, her lips and her forehead, saying “Fake, fake, fake.” Those who heard her firsthand say that she was obviously joking about having plastic surgery on her face, and most reasonable people reading it would figure that out, too. But goodness knows that the vast majority of internet users are not reasonable people. After her quotes began circulating, several outlets and readers took her joke as fact, so much so that Chrissy had to hop on Twitter to set the record straight. “Reminder to never ever joke, ever,” she wrote. However, she did clarify that “I did to the armpits, no regrets except it clearly came back.” She adorably added “You think I’d have this ass if I’d done extensive work? Like who would ask for this ass.” Oh, Chrissy. Never, ever change.
For about a week or so, the world took a break from hating on Kim Zolciak to pity her and send her and her family well wishes instead. After all, her four-year-old son was attacked by a dog and required surgery and a hospital stay — it really wasn’t the time to point out her never-ending obnoxiousness, you know? But, as Kim has said, little Kash is healing wonderfully, and he’ll be fine after the attack . It’s great news, it really is, because thank goodness that poor kid is going to be OK. And also because now things can get back to normal when it comes to Kim and criticizing her big, dumb mouth . For her latest act of terror, Kim actually thought it was a good idea to get on Twitter and offer up her 20-year-old daughter, Brielle Biermann, in exchange for a chance to meet John Legend. Really, she did this. She directed her tweet to Chrissy Teigen, John’s unbearably lovely wife , writing “Sooo ur hubby is comin to ATL may19 & Kash is beyond OBSESSED w him! who does Brielle have to blow in order to meet him?? LOL.” It’s sad, because it would have been a sweet gesture — after what he’s been through recently, of course it would be nice if he was able to meet John. But to ask Chrissy “who does Brielle have to blow in order to meet him”? … Seriously? Chrissy took the message in stride, responding with “Plz don’t blow anyone it’s not that good of a show. Jk it’s good but I’ll get you tix without the oral.” Unfortunately for Kim, not everyone responded so graciously. “Just a suggestion,” one person wrote in response to Kim’s tweet, “but you know you can just go on Ticketmaster and not pimp out your daughter?” Another told her “This is a ‘joke’ that totally crosses the line. Kim you are dumber than I thought you were for not deleting this by now.” One person who means well but is obviously not familiar with this family asked “Where did the class go???”, and another even called this “child abuse,” and “unacceptable behavior from a parent.” It seems like even Kim’s biggest fans are taking issue with her comment — one of them told her “I love you Kim & always defend you, but seriously??? Who in their right mind can think this is funny?” That question makes the assumption that Kim is in her right mind, which has yet to be proven . Look, Kim, it’s not that hard, honey. Just don’t be weird. Don’t make creepy comments about your own kids. If in the future you feel an urge to offer sexual favors from your daughter in exchange for goods or services, just don’t do that.
