Via NYDN : A subhuman Brooklynite was convicted Monday of killing a 14-year-old girl, burning her body and dumping her in a creek after she told him she was pregnant with his baby. It took jurors only an hour to find Christian Ferdinand, 22, guilty of the 2013 murder of Shaniesha Forbes — a teenager he hooked up with after they met on Facebook. “It didn’t deserve to live,” the remorseless killer callously told a friend, according to trial testimony. “I hope he won’t see the light of day again,” the victim’s mother, Sandra Price, said after the verdict was announced in Brooklyn Supreme Court. “I will never see my baby again.” Tragically, her daughter — who had told Ferdinand she was carrying his child and wouldn’t get an abortion — was found not to be pregnant. But that was during her autopsy, after he strangled her with a pillow at his cousin’s apartment. “He intentionally smothered a 14-year-old girl to death and burned her body to get rid of the evidence,” prosecutor Robert Walsh told the jury. “He had a problem that needed solving, he didn’t want to pay child support, and Shaniesha got in the way.” Ferdinand lowered his head on the defense table and appeared to tear up when the jury returned the guilty verdict.
