They’re not the best quality, but here are some screencaps of Dakota Fanning from her new movie Now Is Good .  I haven’t seen it, but the synopsis sounds super depressing — trust me, if you want to keep enjoying these, you don’t want to know. Still, it’s nice to see that now that she’s over 18, Dakota’s starting to take on some more adult roles. Maybe she can play a hooker with a heart of gold next. Or just a regular hooker. Bristol Palin’s back on Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars. With fewer pounds. Check out the weight loss evident in her new promotional pic vs. 2010’s … Returning to the ballroom for this week’s DWTS premiere with partner Mark Ballas, Bristol Palin impressed the judges with her cha cha, but also turned heads with her slim waistline. “I’m definitely in better shape than I was last time, definitely. I’m just more active and I cut all the crap out of my diet! It’s that simple,” the 21-year-old said backstage this week. It’s unclear how much weight Bristol lost, but she looks a lot thinner! The “most improved” returning contestant also credited Tripp: “My kid’s a lot more rowdy, a lot more active. I’m running after him a lot! He’s huge! He thinks he’s a teenager already.” Bristol’s competitor, Kristie Alley, recently weighed in on the Lady Gaga weight gain controversy. Alley looks great this season, as does Bristol. But who will last longer on the parquet?!

Today Show Producer Takes Blame for Ann Curry Firing

Don’t blame Matt Lauer. That’s the message Jim Bell tried to send yesterday in an interview centered on the troubles at Today . With ratings still in decline and with the Ann Curry firing debacle still hanging over the program, the executive producer attempted to shift blame away from his star. “It was definitely not Matt’s call,” Bell said, responding to rumors that Lauer is to blame for Curry’s dismissal. “[Matt] is the host and does not have management responsibility. It was not his call. That was my call. But Bell’s sincerity is now being called into question. Insiders tell The New York Post that Lauer was “sick of being the punching bag” for Today and forced Bell to take responsibility for Curry. “Matt feels that Jim didn’t take accountability for all the ratings drama at Today . [Jim] was away at the Olympics, getting all the glory,” a source told the newspaper. “So Lauer forced Jim to stand in the firing line.” Where does the truth lie? We may never know. But we can hear the glasses toasting at Good Morning America right at this very moment.
