Christina Aguilera Says Bionic Shows Off Her ‘Superhuman’ Side

By Jocelyn Vena Christina Aguilera Photo: Denise Truscello/WireImage With her new album, Bionic, about to drop in June, Christina Aguilera took to her Web site on Wednesday (April 7) to talk about the inspiration for the project. The pop star even teased touring plans, telling fans she looked forward to seeing them “on the road very soon.” “Each album I release is a representation of my personal life experiences and how they have shaped me,” she wrote. “I strongly believe that life is all about growth, self-discovery and self-expression. Making music allows me to define my experiences and share them with others who might hopefully relate. “You will find on this album songs that represent the many sides of me,” Aguilera continued. “I have learned that like all women I am sometimes capable of being superhuman. Like all women I am BIONIC.” Last week, Aguilera released the first single from Bionic, “Not Myself Tonight,” and she said the new music will reflect her evolution since her last studio album, Back to Basics. “I have become a mother, a wife, and most recently, an actress. There are so many characteristics that define me, and this album was put together to represent all of those different parts of myself. The sound is not necessarily easy to define because I am not easy to define.” Aguilera also said that working with a variety of artists, including Santigold, M.I.A. and Ladytron, is giving her music a different vibe than what fans might expect from the vocal powerhouse. “This allowed me to challenge myself by using my voice in ways I never had before,” Aguilera wrote. “It also allowed me to push personal boundaries and explore what is possible for my future and me as an artist.” Are you looking forward to Christina’s new album? Christina Aguilera Back With A New Album!

  Christina Aguilera announced last Thursday about the release of her very much awaited fourth studio album “Bionic”, since the last release of “Back to Basics” which won her the Best Female Pop Vocal Artist, come June 8. “Not Myself Tonight,” the lead single of the said album will be launched  on Aguilera’s official Web site on March 30. An exclusive preview of the song will debut this Friday. “Bionic” features “electronic and organic elements with subject matter ranging from playful to introspective,” Aguilera said. This album was recorded in her home studio. “It is something I don’t think anyone will expect…I am so excited for my fans to hear the new sound”, says Aguilera. In addition, Aguilera confirmed rumored collaborations with Sia, Le Tigre, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Hill & Switch and Ladytron, and a ballad entitled “Lift Me Up” written by Linda Perry. Perry also wrote “Back to Basics” singles “Hurt” and “Candyman” and Aguilera’s 2002 hit, “Beautiful.” “Back to Basics” album has sold 1,694,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Her 2008 greatest hits set, “Keeps Getting Better: A Decade of Hits,” has sold 338,000. Aguilera also recently wrapped filming on “Burlesque,” which co-stars fellow pop diva Cher and is slated for a fall 2010 release. MTV is taking Jersey Shore abroad, hoping that international viewers will tune in to see The Situation chase broads and be as captivated as we are. The network is promoting the shore lifestyle – at least the lifestyle on the show, which stoked local anger – in a new ads called “Get Jersey Shored.” MTV executives say they believe that despite Jersey Shore quotes not making sense elsewhere, the “Jersey Shore narrative” is universally appealing. One of the overseas print ads for the show sums it up: “Muscles + gel + tanning bed = sex.” They left out laundry, right Pauly D? Still, point taken. Is the rest of the planet ready for Jersey Shore? With the campaign, MTV is testing whether Jersey Shore truly has global appeal. If it does, there’s obviously a tremendous amount of money to be made there. Jersey Shore premiered in the U.S. last December, and “seems likely to be a consensus choice for most appalling show of 2009,” The New York Times wrote . Now the show will make its debut on MTV’s international channels. The network will also sell the show to third-party syndicators beginning next month. Season Two is coming to an unnamed city that’s likely Miami soon.

After years away from the main music scene – time she used to serve as a mother to son Max – Christina Aguilera officially returns on June 8. The sexy singer will release a new album titled “Bionic.” It features singles co-written by Aguilera, along with collaborations between her Sia, Tricky Stewart, Polow Da Don, Le Tigre and many others. “Working on this album with so many talented artists and producers that I admire was really an amazing experience,” Christina said. “The artists I chose to work with added so many unique sonic layers to Bionic. On Her Website she was advertising a new song was going to drop and there was a countdown…when the countdown hit zero…they released the lyrics to the fucking song…and no song…that’s some bait and switch shit if I’ve ever seen one…What the fuck can you do with lyrics..but I guess it involves her fans spending the next 20 hours trying to figure out the melody of the song on their own or some shit and posting it on youtube or some shit… Now, I’m not a fan of much other than her tits and the fact that I thought I’d bang her at least once before I die, but that marketing lie would seriously piss me off…If I was sitting here at the computer waiting for the, you can’t fucking trick me like that…It reminds me of when girls promise me nudes and send me a pic of a naked old lady after I invest hours in making them feel pretty…and that makes me fucking angry….
