Kim Kardashian didn’t merely stop by her mother’s Christmas Eve party over this past holiday weekend. She also stopped the presses in the process! We’re not saying this simply because it’s rare to see Kim out and about these days, as she continues to recover from being held at gunpoint by assailants in Paris in early October. We’re saying this because Kardashian was rocking a new and very unexpected look while spending time with her family… Oh, yes, that is most definitely a lip ring adorning Kardashian’s face. We did NOT see that coming! Kris Jenner played host to Kim and all of her siblings on Saturday night, with various members of the family sharing images and videos from the event on social media. Khloe was the one who featured Kim most prominently in her series of Snapchat videos, posing alongside her older sibling and gushing over Kim in her captions. “How to die…? How dope is my f–king sister?” Khloe wrote about one piece of footage, as a silent Kim smiled for the camera. Added Khloe: “Look at this dress and look at the jewelry. You are a badass bitch, Kim!” For understandable reasons, Kim has laid very low since she was robbed in France in October. The troubling event has caused her to reconsider the way she acts in public, along with how much time she spends in public overall. However, on Friday, December 23, she and husband Kanye West enjoyed The Nutcracker with their daughter, North, and Kim’s sister, Kourtney Kardashian (along with North’s BFF, Penelope Disick). This has been a trying time of late for another reason as well: Kim and Kanye continue to battle divorce rumors. Actually, they don’t do very much battling. The Kimye divorce rumors are just making the Internet rounds, with not a single member of the Kardashian or Jenner clan speaking out against them. It makes you think and wonder, doesn’t it? It’s also worth noting that Kanye does not appear to have made an appearance at this holiday party. Hmmm…. According to Us Weekly sources, neither Rob Kardashian nor Blac Chyna were in attendance, either, which should come as no surprise. The couple is likely too busy planning its next fake break-up and staged reconciliation . But Caitlyn Jenner was there and so were daughters Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner. To end the evening, the entire party reportedly danced and sang to Beyonce’s “Love on Top.” However, while nearly all these relatives came together and had a blast over the weekend, that doesn’t all is well among the First Family of Reality Television. There was Kim’s robbery. And Kanye’s hospitalization for a nervous breakdown. And Khloe’s finalized divorce from Lamar Odom. And the ridiculous Rob and Chyna drama. We have an update on the status of Carrie Fisher. As has been widely reported, the beloved Star Wars actress suffered a massive heart attack while on board an airplane on Friday afternoon. She fell unconscious 15 minutes prior to landing in Los Angeles and was unresponsive while paramedics rushed to her side immediately after her flight touched down at LAX. In the aftermath of this scary incident, it was unclear whether or not Fisher would survive. Fisher’s brother, for example, could only tell reporters that Fisher was in ICU , saying hours after his sister fell ill that “there’s nothing new from the doctors.” Fans have been left to refresh the Internet and pray for good news ever since. But now we appear to have some. Fisher’s mother, Debbie Reynolds, has taken to Twitter and addressed the health of her daughter for the first time since Friday’s heart attack, giving followers a reason to hope for the best. Wrote the 84-year old former actress on social media: Carrie is in stable condition.If there is a change,we will share it. For all her fans & friends. I thank you for your prayers & good wishes. Thank goodness, right? This message comes on the heels of Fisher’s half-sister, Joely, sharing a family photo on Instagram from her Christmas Eve dinner, along with a brief, heartfelt message to fans. “The incredible outpouring of love and prayers has been felt…Merry…Happy…Healthy…from our family to yours,” she Joely as the image’s caption. Fisher was on plane from London to Los Angeles when she went into cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles Fire Department received a call shortly after noon on Friday and responded to LAX Gate 74, with paramedics performing “advanced life support” on the star, according to E! News. Yes, it was that serious. While nearly everyone in Hollywood has sent along his or her best wishes to Fisher in the hours and days since this near-tragedy, many eyes have been on the Star Wars universe. Along those lines, Harrison Ford released the following statement: “I’m shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend. Our thoughts are with Carrie, her family and friends.” And Mark Hamill has written often on Twitter of his beloved ex-colleague, most recently using the hashtag #CarrieChristmas and posting the following photo: Amen, right? As previously reported, George Michael is dead at the age of 53. The unexpected passing of this pop music icon was made public by Michael’s publicist on Sunday night, with Connie Filippello issuing the following brief statement to The BBC: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period. “The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.” At the time of this sad announcement, most media outlets speculated that George Michael died of heart failure. And this speculation has now been confirmed by the singer’s longtime manager, Michael Lippman. “I’m devastated,” Lippman said told The Hollywood Reporter, explaining that he received a call on Christmas morning notifying him that Michael had been found “in bed, lying peacefully.” The precise time of death is not known at this time, but there was “no foul play whatsoever,” says Lippman. Expect funeral plans to be announced shortly. While Michael had battled a few health problems over the years, this fatal incident of heart failure was not expected. There was no signs in the days leading up to the artist’s death that he was gravely ill. The Thames Valley Police, has referred to the the death as “unexplained but not suspicious,” sending The Hollywood Reporter a statement that reads as follows: “Thames Valley Police were called to a property in Goring-on-Thames shortly before 2pm Christmas Day. Sadly, a 53-year-old man was confirmed deceased at the scene. “At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious. A post mortem will be undertaken in due course. “There will be no further updates from Thames Valley Police until the post mortem has taken place.” Michael rose to fame in the 1980s as part of Wham!, the duo created with his good friend Andrew Ridgeley. As a solo artist and as a member of this tandem, he was responsible for 10 number-one hits on the Billboard 100 chart. Among his best known and most beloved? “Faith,” “I Want Your Sex,” “Father Figure,” “One More Try” and “Careless Whisper.” Overall, Michael released five solo albums: Faith, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1, Older, Songs From the Last Century (a covers/standards albums) and Patience. He also came out with a pair of greatest hits sets. His first live album, Symphonica, ended up being his final album; it released in 2014. It is not clear when exactly Michael passed away.
