Inspired by her Amazon Princess Grammy dress, Ciara woke up this morning and decided to put her label on blast. She wanted to make one thing clear to her non-album-purchasing-a** fans: her label isn’t breaking up with her, she’s breaking up with THEM! This is what she posted via Facebook earlier: To my fans: This week the net has been a buzz of the rumor that I have been dropped from my label. At this point that rumor is false.. It is true that I have asked and I pray that my label will release me. I have had some great times and success with my label, but sometimes like all great things, its at that point where I feel we don’t share the same views on who I am as a artist. The past two albums have been very frustrating for me. At times there were songs I chose to lead a project and I was ignored! This project, I even tried to get Gimmie Dat started I spent tens of thousands of my own money only to hear the radio pds tell me my label didn’t want the song played. I even spent more than one hundred thousand dollars out of my pocket on the video to bring my vision to it and still no label support. I do understand that some labels are not financially supporting their artists and I have become one of them. You, my fans, know that I strive to do my best to deliver to you the best songs and creative vision I possibly can. I’m dedicated to my music, performance and to my fans! I’ve tried to be a team player with the label only to have compromised what I truly believed.. And was not given the right opportunity to promote and inform my fans of the release of this album..I have so much of me as a artist I still want to give to the world and my fans. A release would allow me to go be creative with people who care and understand me as a artist. In a short time, I will be able to bring to you a new music energy and a visual excitement! Thank you so much for standing by me through the good, bad, and the confusion. I love you all. Love Ciara Poor thang! Guess she never heard what A Tribe Called Quest said about record company people.

Jeremih sure is an opinionated fellow: Did 50 call when the photo of you and Chelsea Handler hit the Internet? He just laughed. It was no big deal, it was just a picture. I talked to 50 beforehand, and told him that I was just coming to meet her. I can’t help what the people/blogs say—that’s their job to create stories. Chelsea is cool as hell and it was nothing more than that. Being a male R&B artist these days also means having to be a sex symbol, but you haven’t really been romantically linked to anyone. Based off your music, I can see you leaning towards Keri Hilson or like a Ciara… Actually, I’ve always been a fan of Ciara, not that I’m not of Keri. But I watched the “Ride” video like ten times the first day [laughs]. She probably kept the whole budget from that video because there wasn’t much to it. It was her—very simple, very sexy. She to me is like the modern day Janet Jackson but on another level. Keri Hilson I have always been a fan of hers, too. What about Nicki? She’s killing it right now. When I look for a woman, I look for one that’s real—that’s keeping it 100. I rather someone know that they’re sexy and not show it. Nothing against Nicki Minaj, I think she’s a dope lyricist and her body is perfect, along with a dope personality. But I’m more into a woman who’s not so much into the spotlight. A lady that knows she’s fine and sexy but doesn’t really have to show it off. Nicki Minaj is cool, Ciara is more of a conservative, she knows she’s sexy and the way she carries herself probably is more of what I would lean towards. So what else can we look forward to from you this year? I’m scheduled to go overseas on another European tour. But this year I definitely look forward to taking my career to the next level and keep expanding my brand, whether it’s movies or merchandising. After talking to 50, I’ve learned that’s the key to this. When are we going to hear something with you and your Chi-Town brethren Kanye and Common? [Laughs] Man, I can only hope it’s real soon. Have you had the chance to meet Kanye? I’ve met just about everyone on Def Jam except Kanye West and Mariah Carey. When College Dropout came out I was so inspired. I think that’s his best album to date, even though I’m a fan of his latest work and all his albums. I had a lot of hip-hop style sampled beats back in the day and people would come through my apartment and say ‘you need to hook up with Kanye.’ I heard that a lot. Reality star played song by The-Dream at her Las Vegas New Year’s Eve party. By Gil Kaufman Kim Kardashian Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images Reality-TV star Kim Kardashian rang in the new year by debuting a new look — cornrows — and giving club goers at TAO in Las Vegas a listen to her debut single, tentatively titled “Turn It Up.” On Saturday, Kardashian, 30, told her Twitter followers that 2011 is “all about trying new things and going for it! I’m starting mine with something fun and crazy!” She then posted photos of her new “Bo Derek braids” and what appeared to be a series of stills from her first video with the tease, “I know u c me on the video … TRUE! I know you’ll hear me on the radio.” Later that night, she unwrapped the song written by The-Dream, which is a straightforward dance floor banger with a thumping Euro club beat and Kardashian’s heavily processed vocals. The video for the tune was filmed last week in Los Angeles by famed video auteur Hype Williams. After she was spotted in the studio with Kanye West , it’s reported that the MC could make a cameo in the clip. AceShowbiz.com reported that Kardashian introduced the tune to NYE revelers at TAO by saying, “I did this song with The-Dream and it’s really fun. I hope you guys like it.” Release dates for the song and the video have not yet been announced. Last month, pal Ciara talked to MTV News about Kardashian’s budding music career. “[Kim] is fascinated with the music-video process and stuff like that,” Ciara said. “She’s a very, very glamorous girl. She really loves that whole idea, and so she joked about [it], like, ‘I wanna shoot a music video … but I don’t want people to take it too serious. I would just like to have fun with it.’ ” With encouragement from Ciara and other hitmakers, Kardashian decided to give music a shot. “Actually Dream had reached out to me too, and I was like, ‘Hey, I’m gonna hit her up.’ I know she talked about music before. She wasn’t all the way sure of it, but I said, ‘Hey, give it a try, go for it. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, you don’t,’ ” Ciara said of her encouraging message to Kardashian. “The cool thing is that you’re able to even experiment with that. Dream is a really, really great producer and writer, so that’s really cool that you get the moment to do that. So go for it. … “I think … she’s gonna have a little pop and I think a little attitude. She’s a girly girl [kind of] girl too, but she still has attitude,” she said. “I think it’s gonna be all that in her music.”

‘We’re talking about doing a couple of things,’ Ciara says at the VMAs. When MTV News caught up with the ATL princess on the show’s white carpet, she dished that fans could be rocking to a white-hot collaboration between CiCi and the hip-hop crew in the future. “We’re talking about doing a couple of things. We’ve been in the studio a little bit too, just, like, talking about things and stuff,” Ciara said. “In the future, it’s very possible that you’ll be hearing something more from possibly me and N.E.R.D. and also maybe even just me and Pharrell, musically.” The songstress, who took on Nelly Furtado’s vocal duties from on the original track, joined the band for a hip-twisting, back-bending performance at the show’s Chevrolet Cruze Drive-In. Whether a Ciara/N.E.R.D. project actually jumps off, the songbird said she enjoyed turning up the fire with the band onstage. “I have to say, I had a lot fun performing with Pharrell. He’s such a sweetheart, their whole crew, Chad [Hugo], Shay, all of them are such sweet guys,” she said. “I had a wonderful time.” One project that is definitely in the works is Ciara’s upcoming album, Basic Instinct. Perhaps recruiting the “Hot-N-Fun” fellas for some new tracks is a smart move, as the singer told MTV News last year that her Fantasy Ride follow-up will be, well, “hot and fun.” On last week’s VMA carpet, the singer updated her fans about her new videos and promised another dope musical ride. “My fans are gonna really be happy. They’re gonna really be in for a treat. I worked so hard on this record. I just shot two videos: ‘Gimme That’ and ‘Speechless,’ ” Ciara said. “My fans are gonna be so happy, I promise you guys.
