Actress Debra Messing and her husband, writer-producer Daniel Zelman, have separated after more than a decade of marriage, according to news reports. People first reported that the couple – parents to a 7-year-old son, Roman – separated privately earlier this year. The news was shared publicly this week. Messing, 43, and Zelman, 44, met when both were pursuing graduate degrees in acting at NYU during the early 1990s. They married in September 2000. A photo of Debra Messing and her husband from 2009 . She couldn’t prove she had a prescription for the pills, resulting in a clear violation of probation and another stint in jail for Portwood. Cue the mug shot: Portwood was on probation after she was convicted of domestic battery for attacking her ex-fiance, Gary Shirley. Amber’s sentence to two years in jail was suspended, provided Portwood stuck to the rules of her probation, which was highly unlikely . After her latest arrest, Amber could end up spending her Christmas behind bars – for the second consecutive year. A court hearing is reportedly set for January 13, and given the circumstances surrounding her case, don’t expect bail to be offered. Oh well. Trouble Man tracks ‘reminiscing on the days when I used to run wild and do my thing the way I used to do it,’ rapper tells MTV News. By Nadeska Alexis T.I. Photo: MTV News Immediately following his release from prison in September, T.I. got to work crafting his eighth solo album, Trouble Man , which he plans to debut early in 2012. During a recent stop in New York to promote his VH1 series, “T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle,” the Atlanta rapper and reality star told MTV News that he had 50 new songs recorded for the album in a matter of weeks. “My life inspires my lyrics at all times, so at that moment in time, when I first came home, I have about 15 songs just totally focusing on that,” T.I. said. “Out of those 15, I probably picked the two or three most significant, most compelling, impactful ones, and after I’ve been out for a minute, then I’ve got records totally focusing on speaking to people who can only focus on that and telling them I’m ready to move on.” The title of T.I.’s latest project is inspired by a 1972 Marvin Gaye song of the same name, which Tip felt was an accurate description for the body of work. “The name of the album is Trouble Man , and every song on here is about things that can get me in trouble,” he explained. “I’m reminiscing on the days when I used to run wild and do my thing the way I used to do it. I’ve got records that are just totally intellectually ignorant.” During his time behind bars, T.I. dropped his seventh album, No Mercy , and although it debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart, the Rubberband Man plans to top that effort without breaking a sweat. “I was able to release a project that did well considering the circumstances, but I wasn’t able to put my all into it, which made it only a fraction of my usual contribution to the game,” he said. So far, T.I. has released three singles from Trouble Man : “I’m Flexin’ ” featuring Big K.R.I.T. was the first to debut, followed by “Here Ye, Here Ye” featuring Pharrell Williams and his latest, “Pyro.” Are you looking forward to T.I.’s next album? Its been reported today that 27-year-old singer, Amy Winehouse, was found dead today in her London apartment. TMZ states: “ Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained. ” Although the cause of death is unknown at this time, it’s no secret that Amy Winehouse battled with an addiction to drugs and alcohol and was in and out of rehab for many years during her career. It’s reported that she canceled her tour last month in Europe because she was “completely out of it”. Amy was signed to Island Def Jam and her hit single, “Rehab” which includes the remix with Jay Z, made her into an international superstar. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Amy Winehouse.
This one will definitely be “high” on some peoples DVR priority list… Here’s a show that will get good buzz. Reality series producers have mined pawn shops and porn for concepts. Now comes weed – as in marijuana. Discovery has picked up a new series for fall called “Weed Wars,” about the business of medicinal pot. The show will follow Oakland’s Harborside Health Center, the nation’s largest medicinal marijuana dispensary. How big is big? How about 80,000 patients. The place is run by Steve DeAngelo, whose goal is to provide the best weed possible. It’s no shock to learn that he also advocates expanding the use of medical marijuana nationwide. Discovery’s announcement says the show will follow the staff, the path of marijuana from seed to weed, City Hall protests and security sweeps. Just imagine the crossover potential for other Discovery shows, like “Dirty Jobs” and “Mythbusters.” It’ll be interesting to see how long this show stays on the air…or in the air. Source
R.I.P. Amy Winehouse September 14, 1983-July 23, 2011 According to TMZ reports : Amy Winehouse was found dead in her apartment in London today … TMZ has confirmed. A press release from the Metropolitan Police, which doesn’t specifically name Winehouse, says: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.” Last month, Winehouse canceled her European tour after a performance in Serbia where she seemed completely out of it.
