Shakira’s ‘Loca’ Video: Watch An Exclusive Preview!

Singer goes guerrilla for clip, which features a madcap dash around Barcelona. By James Montgomery Shakira in her music video for “Loca” Photo: Sony In her previous videos, Shakira ‘s gone global , game-set-match and, after shooting “She Wolf,” probably to the chiropractor. And now, in her new video for “Loca,” she’s gone guerrilla. Shot run-and-gun style in Barcelona last month, the “Loca” clip follows Shakira and her crew on a madcap dash around the city — including scenes shot in a public fountain and on the back of a motorcycle, which got her in hot water with local authorities. Thanks to all that, it’s a decidedly different turn from her past efforts, most of which were big-budget affairs, and all of which avoided getting her in trouble with the law. “Loca” — which features a cameo by British rapper Dizzee Rascal — is the first single off her new album, Sale El Sol (due October 19), and while the full video won’t premiere until Wednesday on MTV.com, you can watch an exclusive 30-second sneak peek right now. There’s roller skating, frolicking in a fountain, (very public) costume changes, motorcycle riding and — of course — a whole lot of hip-shaking, too. It’s sexy, cheeky and, yes, even a little bit crazy, but then again, what Shakira video isn’t? And while “Loca” may be a departure from her previous clips, what makes it great is the simple fact that none of her pop contemporaries — not even Lady Gaga — would dare try something like this. And that’s why we love her so much. But why are you reading this? Have a look at our exclusive preview of “Loca” right now, and make sure to check back on Wednesday for the full experience. Trust us, it’s worth it. Are you excited for Shakira’s “Loca” video? Let us know in the comments! Related Photos The Evolution Of: Shakira Related Artists Shakira

David Beckham Fucks Prostitutes of the Day

Here’s a recent video of David Beckham running up to a fan angrily when the fan mentions something about prostitutes, because apparently there’s a whole David Beckham and prostitutes scandal I had no idea about going on, because I just assume all dudes fuck hookers, espescially when they are on the road and their wife looks like an icy cunt who knew what she was getting into when she met him, as there’s been sex scandal after sex scandal over the years and who really cares, I mean other than him, cuz clearly dude’s torn up on the inside about it….or at least torn up enough to rip a fucker’s throat out…Goodtimes…

Lohan’s Heroin Scandal Pictures of the Day

Here are some pictures that are supposed to be of Lindsay Lohan shooting heroin. I am not a detective and I can’t really tell if this is actually a picture of her, but it looks good enough for me, and really I am not all that surprised shit would go this route, because let’s face it, Heroin is a designer drug, I’ve known many people into it over the years, it’s pretty fucking expensive and that’s why rich people do it. I’ve had to drag people out of my shitty apartments after ODing on the shit and I know I’d never touch it, but I’m not shocked other people do, cuz apparently it’s better than an orgasm, and when you’re broken the fuck down, sometimes that’s all you need. Now I just think that this whole Lohan thing is an act. She’s in Hollywood….the city of lies. It’s easy to book a fake judge and dress him like a judge. It’s easy to book a real courtroom. It’s easy to manipulate the media and everyone to go along with the rock bottom story, because I’ll tell you I know ppl with DUIs and they lost their licenses….they didn’t get put on SCRAM bracelets, serve time, or get released with an unsuspended license, only to get caught for violating parole and put back on a SCRAM bracelet…Shit stinks of bullshit…and I think it’s just a scheme to get her that Oscar…. Never believe anything you see…she’s probably just playing with someone’s diabetes meds or something…I call serious bullshit on this… Source NEWSOFTHEWORLD

Thousands of People Along the Gulf Coast Suffer "BP Crud" | The Untold Story of Human Health Effects from BP’s Oil Disaster

Thousands of People Along the Gulf Coast Suffer ‘BP Crud’ September 7th, 2010 The Untold Story of Human Health Effects From BP’s Oil Disaster Editor’s Note: The Washington Post was given an opportunity for first, exclusive rights to publish this story today, but took a pass “because of the complicated nature of this story and our concerns that it’s too early to judge the real health effects.” Due to the time sensitive nature of this story, and because of tonight’s community health meeting in Orange Beach, we cannot hold it any longer for traditional news outlets. A special thanks to Spot.us for partial funding to cover travel expenses for reporting on this story. Robin_Young1b.jpg Glynn Wilson Robin Young of Orange Beach talks about the health problems she suffered from BP’s Gulf oil disaster (see video). by Glynn Wilson PART ONE… ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — Wherever disaster strikes, there’s always an associated crud. There was the Exxon Valdez Crud. The Nine Eleven Crud. The Katrina Cough, and then the TVA coal ash cough. Now, along the entire coast of the Gulf of Mexico, there is the BP Crud, afflicting workers and the general population from Louisiana to Florida. When the Deepwater Horizon oil rig blew up in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, Robin Young, a 47-year-old director of guest services for a property management company in Orange Beach, Alabama, was gearing up for what promised to be the best tourist season on the coast in years. From the city of New Orleans to the Florida panhandle, communities were finally starting to feel like they were recovering from the devastation left in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Ivan. Since suffering a debilitating bout of what locals are calling the “BP Crud,” however, like thousands of other people along the coast due to their exposure to the oil and chemical dispersants, she is now part of a growing community of activists along the coast who are worried about their health. Just a few days after BP’s oil made landfall along the Alabama Gulf Coast in June, Ms. Young’s symptoms started with “a fiery, burning sore throat,” she said. Then came the horrible, constant cough, followed by an achy feeling much like a severe flu virus — and a lethargy that kept her in bed for two weeks solid. Her memory started playing tricks on her, and her motor skills and even hand-to-eye coordination went south. She started communicating with other sick folks over the Internet, and attending local meetings with corporate and government officials. At one meeting early on, she asked for a show of hands in a room of maybe 400 people to see how many had suffered symptoms similar to hers. “Half the people in the room raised their hands,” she said in an interview at her cottage right next to the Intercoastal Waterway, which was polluted with oil and chemicals at the height of the disaster. Clearly, this was not some isolated event unrelated to the oil rig blowout. Her new friends, who soon started a nonprofit group called Guardians of the Gulf, tried to find a local doctor to help them. After having no luck, they eventually found an out of state toxicologist and a doctor who knew enough about a new area of occupational and environmental health to order blood tests. They found Dr. Michael R. Harbut, a clinical professor of Internal Medicine and director of the Environmental Cancer Program at Wayne State University’s Karmanos Cancer Institute, board certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. And they found Metametrix, a lab to test their blood. What they found in the blood tests was a stew of toxic chemicals directly associated with oil and gas production and the chemical dispersant Corexit, including ethylbenzene, xylenehigh and high levels of hexane, a hydrocarbon chiefly obtained by the refining of crude oil. The long-term toxicity of hexane in humans is extensive peripheral nervous system failure. The initial symptoms are tingling and cramps in the arms and legs, followed by general muscular weakness. In severe cases, skeletal muscles atrophy and those exposed suffer a loss of coordination and vision problems, the very symptoms Ms. Young reported. Town officials and even local doctors have tried to silence her and others who raise the health issue, worried that if news got out, it could hurt the local economy even more. But a group of local pharmacists started keeping diaries of people coming in with similar symptoms. “There’s a core group of them that finally said, ‘Holy Cow,’ something’s going on,” she said. “They started listening to what we were saying. But we still couldn’t get a lot of help. We couldn’t get help from the local doctors because they didn’t know what to do.” Early on, Ms. Young invited a crew from Bio-Cascade, air-pollution specialists out of New Jersey and Boston, to come down and test the air. She put them up in a house right on the beach. On the third day John Vallier of Bio-Cascade woke up with a sore throat. He put the air monitoring machine on the deck and within 15 minutes it showed 110 parts per million of Volatile Organic Compounds in the air. The crew quickly packed and said they would help from outside the vicinity of the bad air coming off the Gulf. It was striking how scared they were and how fast they got out of town, Ms. Young said, while EPA was downplaying the threat coming from its own air monitoring stations. Another member of her group who suffered similar symptoms but does not want to be identified by name called the local schools and confirmed that there were an unusual number of children out sick with what was diagnosed as “strep throat” and a “stomach virus,” at the end of summer and long before flu season is supposed to start. Another woman, Robyn Hill of Foley, actually passed out while working for a BP contractor cleaning up the beach. When she was taken to the hospital by ambulance, the doctor tried to make her sign a form saying she suffered a heat stroke. She refused, and has now joined the cause to save the Gulf. “It really fired us up,” Ms Young said. CONTINUED… added by: EthicalVegan

DNC Chairman Drop an F-Bomb

This shows the mentality of the Democratic Party Now they are worried and using profanity, but it will get more disgusting in the near future. Like Joe Biden said to Obama “This is a big F$%ing deal” TRENDING: Ohio Democrat drops the 'F-bomb' at political event Posted by: CNN's Alison Harding Washington (CNN) – The Ohio Democratic Party chairman found himself in hot water on Tuesday after video emerged of him referring to detractors as “f–ers” at a political event. “If your kid's going to graduate from college, now he or she gets health care – your health care – while he or she looks for a new job. In the very base terms, we win these arguments. And every time one of these f–ers says– excuse my language.” Chris Redfern said on the video captured by a WTOV camera. Redfern was speaking at a private United Steelworkers union hall when he dropped the expletive referring “to those who believe that health care is a privilege and not a right,” he said. Redfern told CNN that he was not aware the camera was on, but said he does not apologize for his comments. “I was invited to speak at a private meeting,” Redfern said. “I said a word that you have used as well.” Ohio, which swung to the Democrats during the 2008 presidential election, is proving to be one of the most challenging states for Democrats this election cycle. According to a CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corporation survey released last week, a majority of voters favor the Republicans in Ohio's Senate and gubernatorial races. Republicans also expected to win back a number of House seats in the crucial 2012 presidential battleground state. http://www.wtov9.com/video/25107808/index.html added by: ReverandG

Men allege sexual coercion by prominent Atlanta pastor

Two Georgia men have filed suit claiming that prominent Atlanta pastor Eddie Long coerced them into sex. The suits, filed Tuesday in DeKalb County, Georgia, allege that Long used his position as a spiritual authority and bishop to coerce young male members and employees of his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church into sex. “Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as Bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship,” the suits allege. Long is considered one of the nation's top black preachers. Long spokesman Art Franklin said Tuesday that “we categorically deny the allegations.” http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/09/21/georgia.pastor.abuse/index.html added by: Radical_Centrist

Durham Libertarians oppose street bond

Durham libertarians are urging city residents to vote no on the street bond referendum that will appear on the November ballot. “Durham is already more than $400 million in debt and the mayor wants to add to that burden,” said Matt Drew, Durham Libertarian Party chair. He said that yearly debt payments are $50 million and $15 million of that is just in interest. City officials estimate that debt-service payments on the proposed $20 million bond would add 0.76 cents per $100 of assessed value to the city's fiscal 2011-12 property tax rate. That would add $11.40 to the tax bill for a $150,000 house. The money is supposed to help clear a backlog of street repairs, according to city officials. This is not the first street bond issue put before Bull City voters. Another $20 million street bond passed with a overwhelming 74 percent of the vote in 2007, but none of that money has actually been spent yet. Drew questions why the city is borrowing money to fund basic infrastructure, yet giving away millions of dollars in corporate welfare. “While the city is funding basic services through debt, the city council just voted to hand over $4.2 million dollars in corporate welfare to Greenfire (a private developer) to build a hotel,” Matt Drew said. Drew was only one of two people who spoke against the Greenfire welfare grant at the public hearing September 20. “Somehow we can find dollars in our budget to pad corporate profits, but not for road construction,” he said. “That’s just wrong. It’s setting the stage for even more borrowing to fund basic city services in the future.” In addition to increasing taxes earlier this year, he said that the city council is going to increase taxes again to pay for this bond. “Ask yourself: do these tax increases ever go away once the bond is paid off,” he said. He said that the city council just needs to make the hard decisions, set priorities and pay for the repairs from the general fund. “Voters should send the council the message that we’re tired of living beyond our means, and that we should be paying for basic services once instead of twice through interest,” Drew said. http://www.examiner.com/libertarian-in-raleigh/durham-llibertarians-oppose-stree… added by: shanklinmike

How to Watch the Super Harvest Moon Twilight Show Today

Prepare for the Super Harvest Moon! For the first time in two decades, the Sun will sink as the full Moon rises exactly opposite to it on the day the summer ends, creating in a strange 360-degree twilight show. If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, today is the autumnal equinox and a Super Harvest Moon will cross the sky after almost 20 years since the last time it happened. When the Sun starts to set on the Western horizon, a full moon will rise opposite to it on the East, reflecting the light of our home star. Being close to the horizon, the orange Moon will be gigantic thanks to a psychological effect called the Moon illusion. The sky will be illuminated by the Sun and the Moon at the same time, creating a weird 360-degree effect that is rarely seen. You don't need to do anything special to enjoy the show, just get ready for the sunset. Make sure to have a clear view to both East and West. In NYC, the event will happen at 6:54pm. You can check the time in your city here. And as an added bonus, when the summer ends at 11:09pm Eastern Time, Jupiter will appear right next to the Moon. http://gizmodo.com/5645030/watch-the-super-harvest-moon-today added by: pjacobs51
