Ciara And Russell Wilson Celebrate New Arrival With Baby Shower Baby Wilson is almost here ! Ciara and Russell Wilson marked the impending arrival of their new little bundle of joy with family and friends with a co-ed baby shower yesterday. The Wilsons’ guests showered them with baby gifts and chowed down on burgers and milkshakes catered by Shake Shack at a private home in Los Angeles, under a tent overlooking the city’s skyline. Inside, the tent decorated with string lights and big balloons (no word on the color) adorned with gold and silver strings, while gold elephant statues, floral arrangements, candles and books covered the tables in the dining area. Friends of the Mama-to-be-again, including LaLa Anthony and Serena Williams, played games and danced the night away in celebration and anticipation of the new baby. Take a look: Looks nice, right? Good for Ciara and Russell. We’re guessing the new baby will be here any week now… E!online/Splash
Chance The Rapper Meets With Governor Rauner Of Illinois Chance the Rapper is making sure to lend his celebrity to helping his city. The Grammy winner met with Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner on Friday, hoping to help push the official to sign off on immediate funding for poor Chicago Public Schools. Apparently, Rauner vetoed $215 million in school pension assistance last December. When Chance won his Grammys last week , Rauner tweeted out a congratulatory message…Chance replied with a request for a meeting. The Governor had already bobbed and weaved on the meeting, rescheduling after the two were originally due for a sit down this past Wednesday. However, the meeting wasn’t as productive as Chance would have hoped. As he was leaving he told reporters that he was “flustered” about “vague answers” he received from the Governor. He also implored media to focus on his cause and educate the public on how the school situation got so bad in Chicago. . @chancetherapper is fighting back against @GovRauner 's cuts to school funding. “Do your job…give a history of how we ended up here.” pic.twitter.com/9RvBMqz5zQ — #AllofUs (@TimeForAllofUs) March 3, 2017 . @chancetherapper leaves meeting with @GovRauner apparently disappointed with “vague answers.” pic.twitter.com/E0nUVzDhb8 — Amanda Vinicky (@AmandaVinicky) March 3, 2017 BUT, Chance is still hopeful. He says he’ll have a new strategy together by the beginning of next week… Chicago Public Schools and I did not lose today. Please don't let that become the narrative. Monday morning I'll have a plan. — Lil Chano From 79th (@chancetherapper) March 3, 2017 We hope he can help turn things around! It’s always great to see rappers use their influence to help their hometowns in a REAL way. Twitter/Instagram/Splash
Former Stripper Sues Club Cheetah An ex-stripper has filed suit against popular ATL strip joint, Club Cheetah, alleging drugs, prostitution, and rape are all on the menu for those putting up enough cash. For those unfamiliar, The Cheetah is a high-end ATL strip club. It’s known to be “classier” than other spots in the city, and even has a four-star restaurant inside. It’s not so much a shake joint for your favorite rapper as it is a place where white-collar types go have cigars and lobster with a lapdance on the side. Anyway, former Cheetah dancer Alison Valente claims that she witnessed nonstop illegal activity from the moment she started working there in 2010. She claims the club has a whole secret menu for high-paid patrons to order illegal drugs and sex acts from the dancer of their choosing . One menu item has even been dubbed the “Bill Cosby Special” — basically, for the right price, dancers who aren’t down to sell ‘extras’ are unknowingly given a date-rape drug by the club so that clients can have their way with them. According to TMZ , In the suit, Alison says at least 7 women were sexually assaulted in this manner, including one by the club’s owner and one by an assistant to a city official. She says she herself was drugged on at least two different occasions, and has little recollection of what happened, although club managers tried to convince her that she willingly engaged in lewd sexual acts. Alison says she was fired that same year for bringing attention to all the aforementioned. And for those that automatically think rape allegations = money grab…Alison isn’t suing for cash. She says she doesn’t want a cent of money. She just wants the club shut down for good. We know it gets crazy in certain strip clubs…but this is next level! Are you shocked to hear about this? The Detroit businessman was a well-known philanthropis t and championed many charities throughout his beloved city. Now, one story about the pizza founder’s generosity has made the news following his death reports Sports Business Weekly . Judge Damon Keith, a friend of Ilitch, shared a touching story of how the businessman came to rescue of Rosa Parks during a dark time in her life: “It’s for $2,000, dated November the first, 1994. It’s from Little Caesars Enterprises to Riverfront Apartments, and I know it was just one of many,” said Keith, 91, who has been a U.S. Court of Appeals judge in Detroit for the last 46 years. “It’s important that people know what Mr. Mike Ilitch did for Ms. Rosa Parks because it’s symbolic of what he has always done for the people of our city.” On Aug. 31, 1994, Parks, then 81, was robbed and assaulted in her home in central Detroit. Keith called real estate developer Alfred Taubman, the owner of Riverfront Apartments, about finding a safer home for Parks. Taubman pledged to find the best home available. Illitch paid Parks’ rent every month until she died in 2005. The generous businessman supported numerous charities and helped everyone he met. Rapper Fighting Attempted Murder & Weapons Charges Troy Ave got good news Friday in a Manhattan courtroom. A judge OK’d easing his bail restrictions so he can start performing again on the road and travel to New Jersey to spend time with his kids, BOSSIP has learned. The Manhattan District Attorney agreed to let Troy travel out of state for performances, but he’ll have to have security with him for events, and any place he performs must have crowd security measures, like body and bag searches. Troy himself will also have to submit to a search, and he has to notify the District Attorney a week in advance of when he plans to go out on the road. Troy must also continue to wear his GPS ankle bracelet. These new rules are much less strict than his original bail conditions, which included a curfew, banned him from bars and clubs and restricted him to the city’s five boroughs – effectively keeping him from working for nearly nine months. The Brooklyn rapper is accused of shooting up the backstage of a T.I. concert in New York last year. But Troy has insisted from the beginning that he defended himself after watching his best friend Roland McPhatter get shot right in front of him. Taxstone shortly after his arrest “We are very happy that he’s going to have the opportunity to tour, because it’s really the core of his business model as a performer,” Troy’s lawyer, John Stella, told BOSSIP. “Without doing the shows, he doesn’t have the same amount of record sales. He’s extremely excited to be able to put the green light on his people booking shows and getting out there and working.” Prosecutors acknowledged that the cops’ arrest of internet raconteur Taxstone – aka Daryl Campbell – in connection to the shooting impacted their decision to ease Troy’s bail rules. In that case, the government alleges that Taxstone’s DNA was found all over the gun in question. He is being held without bail and his case is pending in Manhattan Federal Court. Stella said they are still waiting to see how Taxstone’s federal case will impact their own. When reached via text for comment, Troy responded with a “blessed” emoji followed by several exclamation points and a “money bag” emoji. He is due back in court next month.
