Source: FayesVision/WENN.com / WENN According to a source close to  LoveBScott , actor Jussie Smollett and his sister Jurnee Smollett-Bell are shopping around a movie about a falsely accused brother and sister pair. And insider told the site that Jussie has been vetting directors to help him bring the film to life. The reported film plot echoes real life incidents that entangled Jussie in a criminal scandal for months. On January 29th of this year, Jussie claimed that he was attacked in Chicago late at night by two men hurling racial slurs at him. He said the alleged assailants yelled MAGA country, poured a bleach like substance on him, and left a rope around his neck. Lo and behold, before the magazine even gets into circulation, Kanye made sure that dream became a reality. According to reports from TMZ , the couple purchased a massive property in Wyoming just outside of the city Cody . The property is known as the ‘Monster Lake Ranch’ and was sitting on the market at a whopping $14 million. The Ranch itself has 8 lodging units and is known for “monster trout” fishing. It has two freshwater lakes, a restaurant, an event center, and meeting facilities. There are lots of barns, corrals, and horses–in fact, Cody is known as the “rodeo capital of the world.” The publication states that the famous couple reportedly worked out some sort of a deal for the small city and didn’t end up forking over the entire $14 million, but the final price is unknown. Last year, Kanye & company pumped out several albums while working in Wyoming, and West even ended up hosted his listening session in Jackson Hole. That’s when the whole family reportedly fell in love with the area and decided they might wanna stick around. They secured 4500 of the 9000 acres available, while the rest of the land is leased from the federal government. Word on the street is that Ye has already begun recording on the new property and several close friends and team members–including Pusha T– have already visited . Source: Boston Globe / Getty Jasiel Correia II Arrested On Federal Extortion Charges It seems like the mayor of Massachusetts thought life was a drama series and he could get away with extorting desperate weed vendors in the area, but instead, he’s been popped on extortion charges. According to USA Today , Jasiel Correia II , 27, was arrested Friday on federal extortion charges for allegedly operating a scheme to help marijuana vendors get approval to operate in exchange for hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes. Allegedly Correia agreed to sign non-opposition letters in return for significant six-figure payments from four marijuana vendors looking to open businesses in the city. The mayor also is accused of extorting $3,900 in cash and a “Batman” Rolex watch from a property owner in exchange for activating the water supply to his building. Federal prosecutors also Correia demanded his chief of staff give him half of her $78,700 salary in return for appointing her and allowing her to keep her city job. Four others, including the former chief of staff, Genoveva Andrade, also were charged with federal crimes. Correia appeared in Boston federal court Friday afternoon and pleaded not guilty. “I’m not guilty of these charges. I’ve done nothing but good for the great city of Fall River, me and my staff, and my team. I’m going to continue to do great things for our citizens,” he told reporters afterward, standing next to his attorney outside the courthouse.

Meek Mill Unveils Renovated Basketball Courts For Youth In Philly

P hiladelphia-bred rapper Meek Mill is no stranger to philanthropy. In the past, the hip-hop star—whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams —has hosted toy giveaways and school drives benefiting children in his hometown. Williams is continuing his mission to inspire and empower the youth in Philly. According to CBS News , he recently unveiled renovated basketball courts in North Philadelphia. The new courts—which are located at 33rd and Oxford—feature motivational quotes along the sidelines as well as Williams’ “Dreamchasers” logo. During the unveiling ceremony, the “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper thanked those who helped bring the project to fruition and played basketball with the children who were in attendance. Williams says he’s happy to have the platform and resources to give back to his community. “North Philly will always be home. When kids go to East Fairmount Park, they deserve to ball in the best conditions possible, so I’m glad they’ll have that opportunity now,” he said when announcing the project last year. Leaders of the initiative are beyond thankful for his continued commitment to uplift the youth in Philadelphia. “A lot of people make it, come back for a minute, get a little cameras and then they’re gone,” said Philadelphia City Council President Darrell Clarke in a statement. “My man, he keeps coming back and I’m loving it.” Williams has been making power moves beyond music this year. He was named co-owner of the sports apparel brand Lids and he has continued to fight for criminal justice reform by joining forces with lawmakers to propose a probation and parole reform bill . City Of Atlanta Raises $50 Million To Create Homes For The Homeless

T he city of Atlanta has made a major stride in combating homelessness. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution , Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced that $50 million has been raised to build houses for over 500 families who are without shelter. Mayor @KeishaBottoms announced that Atlanta had reached its goal of raising $50 million to provide 550 homes for the city’s homeless population. https://t.co/qeBTn1YlE5 — AJC (@ajc) August 26, 2019 The HomeFirst Atlanta initiative—which was launched in 2017 when former Mayor Kasim Reed was in office—was created after Atlanta’s largest shelter shuttered. The shelter served over 500 individuals each night. In an effort to develop a sustainable solution for the homeless population, community leaders and political officials teamed up with the United Way Regional Commission on Homelessness and Invest Atlanta to develop a fund that would provide housing so that individuals could focus on rebuilding their lives. Half of the $50 million came from the Homeless Opportunity Bond sale led by Reed and the rest of the funds were from private donors. Bottoms believes that this collaborative effort will make lasting changes in the lives of individuals who need assistance. “HomeFirst will create 550 units of permanent supportive housing that will be part of larger developments that will contribute, in aggregate, more than 2,500 units of affordable housing,” she said in a statement, according to The Atlanta Voice . “We are building a compassionate community of trusted partners who approach homelessness in a strategic, transparent and accountable way. The results show that it is working.” Organizers of the initiative are aiming to make resources more accessible for those struggling with homelessness. “It is a miss-perception that many people have: that homelessness is represented entirely by the people they see on the streets,” Jack Hardin , Co-Chair of the Atlanta Regional Commission on Homelessness told the news outlet. “A far larger proportion of people experiencing homelessness have incomes and function at very high levels, but live on the margins of the economics of our society and any hardship can derail.” There have been several projects launched in Atlanta to combat the city’s homelessness issue. Earlier this year, Gwinnett officials awarded nearly $1 million to an organization that had plans to build two shelters in the county. City Girls Rapper JT To Be Released From Prison In September

This is all according to Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee’s sister. The revelation came during an  Instagram  Q&A session where Brownlee’s sister was asked for updates on Johnson’s released. Johnson turned herself in to authorities in July of 2018 for credit card fraud charges. At the time, she was out on bond but decided to finish out her sentence. “Did more than I thought I could imagine in this short period of time out on bond,” Johnson said in a June 2018 Instagram story. “Now it’s time for me to knock this down and come back strong forever. Email Submit It was previously reported that Johnson would not be released until March 2020 and her request for an early release was denied in May. However, back in June, the group’s manager, Pierre “Pee” Thomas, told 99 Jamz host Supa Cindy that Johnson would be a free woman within the next 90 days. We imagine that Johnson’s impending release will come as a relief to her group member, Yung Miami, who is pregnant and has been holding down the act alone for over a year now.
